After the initial introduction of the tuxedo suit in the sixties Yves made a version of the famous Tuxedo suit every season. This version of that classic and iconic look has a wonderful cut and still feels infinitely wearable now. Made of a fine black wool that is easy to wear and feel very comfortable on, it has the most classic lines and is easily recognizable as YSL design. The skirt is a classic simple cut to the knee with a pencil skirt cut that has the slightest suggestion of widening as it nears the hem and softly gathers in at the waist line. The jacket is pure Yves with a matte silk satin lapel cut to mimic a man's tuxedo. In this version it closes with two glittering rhinestone encrusted buttons that sit low at the front. Two of these same buttons also adorn each cuff. The jacket curves past the hip and is cut more boxed then fitted, giving it a wonderful shape that balances the cut and length of the skirt. Strong shoulders are the perfect finish. Excellent condition and appears unworn

Both pieces are lined in a fine back silk. The jacket buttons to close and the skirt has a back zipper and flat hook and eye at the waist. Two buttons on each cuff and the button holes are functional. Pockets on each side of the jacket that are functional. The jacket is tagged a vintage YSL 38 and the skirt a 40. What a fantastic striped dress! It is really a chic version of the classic black and white stripe and by the ready to wear Scaasi line. The fabric has a slight ribbed texture to it and has enough weight to hold the shape particularly in the skirt that falls in a lovely curved manner at the hem. Wide stripes in a graphic black and white sit horizontally on the dress from top to bottom. The but works with the stripes across the shoulders and neckline especially with its wide flat cut that leaves the tops of your shoulders bare. It is fitted through the body and is cut to sit off the shoulders at the top. A wide black belt cinches in the waist and break the stripes. Under the belt the skirt is but so that the stripes form a chevron pattern and the skirt falls to just about the knee. I love the curve of the skirt - it has a nod to that famous Charles James clover leaf gown to it - it's the perfect balance to the stripes and bare shoulders. Appears to have never been worn. Excellent condition.

Fully lined an a black silky rayon and the fabric of the skirt is also self lined to the pattern as well. It closes with a back zipper. The belt is a slip belt and in excellent condition Tagged a 4 but please go by actual measurements

I love Suzy Perette pieces and the earlier, really great ones are just getting more and more rare. This one is a beauty and you cannot go wrong with a little black dress. Made of a beautiful grade, black silk, this one is a beauty. The front is cut simply so the bodice is nicely fitted to the body. The waist nips in over a full skirt. Adorning the bodice and circling around the torso are three black silk bands of fabric, stacked atop each other from the waist to the squared off neckline. Each has a sweet little flat bow at its center. This beautifully detailed bodice sits atop the full skirt. This banding detail and use of the bows cleverly draws the eye into the center of the dress and waist and gives the illusion of an even greater nipped in waist and hourglass silhouette. I love it. The back is scooped in the same squared off cut as the front for the perfect balance. The skirt has the perfect amount of fullness that allows you wear it with or without a crinoline and not be too overwhelmed by volume (shown with a light crinoline under it here). Excellent condition.

Fully lined in a black silk and closes with a back painted metal zipper. There are the tiniest bit of "wrinkling" to the fabric directly under the arm but this does not affect how it presents when worn. There is no discoloration or weakening to the fabric there that I can see. Styled here with a light crinoline underneath that is not uncluded. It can easily be worn without one.

This little Alfred Shaheen is just fabulous. It is so unusual and I feel like it is just begging to go on a tropical vacation. It is a really unusual construction with what is basically two large squares of fabric stitched together and then tied around the neck. Much like a scarf dress you sometimes see but rather then a light silk it is a light washable jersey. I have styled it with it tied at the back but you could also wear it over a bandeau and tie it one shoulder style for a totally different look. The panels are a bright explosion of coral flowers and the edges are a black for contrast. Its really fabulous and being washable makes it a great and easy piece to travel with. Excellent condition and appears to have never been worn.

The Silverman company closed in 1978 and they donated their archives and clothing collection to the Kent State University which formed the start of the Museum there. I think that it is always lovely to have a piece from a designer whose name will continue through the efforts of museums and collectors and it certainly makes them a good investment as well. This particular dress is a really spectacular one shoulder chiffon dress. The pretty pastel palette is so feminine and will flatter most skin tones. It is constructed of a pretty chiffon that flows and moves beautifully with hand rolled edges. The design that runs over it is amazing marbled motif in a mix of soft colors that gains depth as it nears the hem. It is almost weightless and yet constructed so that it drapes on the body perfectly with the side that runs over the arm having an almost caftan feel. This gives it a very floating effect when you move. That very top layer floats over an inner dress that has the same fabric on the exterior and is fully lined underneath. Love the effect created with the two layers floating over each other. Excellent condition

This set is just absolutely gorgeous and in person the colors are even more fabulous then how they have photoed. It really pops and you just feel happy just looking at it. It is an early 1960s printed Emilio Pucci skirt set that is made of his signature printed velvet. The fabric that is amongst the most prized of all his pieces to find and a personal favorite. The skirt is a flat fronted wrap with a sleek cut around the hip. The zipper to close it is cleverly hidden underneath the printed border at the at the front and only goes part way down leaving an opening that give an extra flash of leg when you move or sit. The printed border also circles the waist of the skirt so if you decide to wear the jacket open, or the skirt on its own, it has a perfectly finished, chic feel. The jacket, which you can easily wear on its own without anything under it, zips up the front to close. This allows you to wear it closes right up to the neck, open completely or zipped as low as you dare. It too is finished with hos dramatic print border. The colors are fabulous mix of pinks and corals and are amongst his most iconic. The suit is so versatile since you can wear it as together or as separates. This is a very rare and fabulous set. Excellent condition

This is a dress suited for a little bombshell of a girl and it will give any girl who wears it instant curves. These little fitted Hawaiian wiggle dresses were, and are, the dress of choice for sex symbols of the era. The print is a pretty wash of flowers on a blue backdrop and the fabric has a soft washed feel to it which I love. Pinks, purples and greens cover the surface of the cotton for a pretty and feminine effect. I love the faux wrap sarong style skirting and how it ties at the side of the waist. An elastic panel runs along the back of the bodice so the dress automatically adjusts to fit and boning through the front make it easy to go without a bra if you wish. The bodice has a double peak and pretty little gather between. Tiny straps suspend the dress from the shoulders but you could tuck them in and wear this strapless if you wish. Excellent condition

I love this stunning little top and skirt set from the legendary Emilio Pucci mainly because of the color but also because it is just so chic and versatile. Both pieces are simple in cut, but big on drama and are covered with a gorgeous and classic Pucci print. The colors are as brilliant as the day this was made and that glorious print makes it instantly recognizable as a Pucci piece. The print is a mix of a vivid coral with a taupe and off white and all parts of the patters are edged in a fine black outlined. The fabric is also signed throughout with that famous Pucci signature. The skirt is is a soft A-line to just above the knee while the top is a simple cut with sleek sleeves and a rounded neckline. His signature border circles the neck, cuffs and hems. Being two pieces rather then a dress makes really easy to mix and match and work into your wardrobe for all four seasons. Excellent condition.

This lovely little dress is by Frank Starr who was the father of Malcolm and this label was actually the forerunner of the Malcolm Starr label. It is a very chic dress with a very definitive "New Look" to it. It is made of a cream silk satin. This choice of fabric is perfect to give it the lovely structure and lines you see. The fabric has just enough weight to allow it the structure and shape the dress needs. The skirt is quite full and is made more so by the inner layer of tulle that is attached. I have photoed it here with one additional light crinoline so you can get an idea of how full the skirt really is (the additional crinoline is not included). The skirt is set so that it curves out form a more fitted waist. Over this the strapless bodice sits and is fitted with a shaped bust and pretty gathered band right under it. The entire upper bodice is beautifully beaded by hand with tiny little seed beads. A draped panel of fabric sits at the back for the perfect finish.  Presents as excellent condition but please read full description notes below.

Fully lined in a cream silk through the bodice and a heavier cotton through the skirt. There is an attached layer of tulle under the skirt and the sash at the back is made entirely of silk. Lightly boned through the bodice and closes with a side painted metal zipper with hook and eye over that. The dress has a small issue that you could try to remedy or ignore as it is wearable as is. There are some water marks on the sash. Please super-size the last photo to see both these items. Priced accordingly.

This early Marimekko caftan dress is fabulous. The Marimekko company was founded in 1951 by Armi and Viljo Ratia and they quickly became known for making pieces that used  boldly printed fabrics of their own designs. The label on this dress dates it to the late 1960s and it's a beauty. The design that covers the surface is simple, yet striking. The color is a deep blue with a white curving line that creates the design that runs over the dress from top to bottom. It is cut full through the bodice with wide cut sleeves. The neckline is cut in a V on both the front and back for a little bit of skin to balance the coverage everywhere else. Part of the waist has elastic running through it at the very front, high up under the bust line. This elastic detailing adds some shape to the front but since it is not carried all the way around you still get that amazing sweep of fabric down the back. The skirt flows down from there and widens as it nears the hem. It is just amazing and perfect for the summer season. The earlier Marimekko pieces are more rare and it is an amazing piece of the label's fashion history. Excellent condition

The Erdem label by Erdem Moralioglu is known for his unique approach to print and perfect-cut tailoring both of which are showcased on this lovely dress. The fabric is a finely ribbed silk that has, as the label puts it "fabric specially designed by Erdem" and features a lovely and romantic washed watercolor print reminiscent of eras past and scenic views hidden in its patterns. The colors are the softest possible mint greens and lavenders. The cut is impeccable with rounded shoulder and a shift shape that curves in at the waist to give the wearer shape but without being skin tight. It is a beautiful dress that you can't help feel feminine and yet powerful in. Excellent, appears unworn condition.

His work always was started from the fabrics he chose and loved and this love of textiles runs strongly through his pieces, especially the more daring designs as the fabulous jumpsuit that we have here. This amazing jumpsuit typifies the movement towards clothes that were easy to wear and still had a sportswear meets runway feel to them. It is made of a slinky silk satin in two tones with his signature collage applied boldly to the front. Being a jumpsuit makes it so easy to wear! You just slip it on, add shoes and accessories, and go. I love the heavily collaged bibbed effect front that sits on either side of the button up top and the sexy of both the top portion and pant, especially in that light and fabulous feeling fabric. So chic and so versatile. Excellent overall condition

This Emma Domb dress is just so pretty and gorgeous I am in love! It is really a beautiful and early example of the kind of dreamy dresses the company made. The print on the silky rayon is a lovely mix of roses and greenery that covers the entire surface. I love how the pink and greens pop off the backdrop and parts of the fabric look to have been hand painted. The bodice is very pretty with a simple curved and crossed cut that is fitted to the bust and shows off and creates curves. The waist is defined and the seamed there is set on a pretty curve. The skirt is amazing and quite full with lots and lots of fabric and a layer of tulle underneath to give it that shape. I used no extra crinolines! To finish there are two pretty bows that sit atop each hip at the waist. This little extra touch is so pretty and feminine - I love it. Really a pretty and wonderful fifties dress. Excellent condition.

Founded by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, this label has a loyal fan base, addicted to the stunning prints that they design and transfer onto silks. The duo draws on science and nature for inspiration and you can see that in this print with its pretty poppy feel florals and water like details that hide in the angular design. The dress is a pretty shape with a defined waist and swingy skirt. The top crosses and plunges. That crossing of fabric crosses over itself at the waist and then falls in two panels of fabric over the waist giving the skirt a little extra dimension and movement. This allows the floral pattern at the hem to really be highlighted. The back is left sleek and simple. Love it. Excellent, never worn condition.

This is an amazing set and feels so happy and spring-like, it is hard not to smile when you see it. The skirt is full, with a lovely amount of volume and sits just past the knee. I love the mix of a multi-colored check pattern mixed with those huge blooms. Cut out versions of those glorious poppies adorn the hem of the skirt and circle all the way around adding a pretty dimension to the pattern and design. The waist cinches in and you could pair this with a variety of pieces making it so very versatile. With this is a bib like piece that goes around the neck and covers the front bust. It is fully adorned with those huge poppy appliques and this combination of color and design is spectacular. An interesting thing to note - I have seen a dress version of this piece on occasion in the past. At first I thought that it was perhaps the dress version and it had been altered at some point into the two pieces as you see. However, the dress versions that I have seen had a Donald Brooks label, while this set has the Boutique version label so it's a bit of a mystery and there are no screaming signs of a bad alteration job inside. So there is the possibility that this was as it was intended. The boutique label was only produced from 1971 to 1973 and based on similar pieces held in museums I believe this to be from that very first year of production. Either way it is in excellent condition

The skirt is unlined and the top lined in a white silky rayon. The skirt closes with a back painted metal and nylon zipper and the top hooks at the back neck under the poppy applique.

This beautiful and easy to wear dress is by Travilla, who is of course the genius behind Marilyn Monroe's Subway Grate dress from the movie "The Seven Year Itch". He was renowned for his pleat work and ability to drape a gown and his work respected the fabric choices and used them to their greatest advantage. Here he used three layers of light, fine, sheer silk chiffons and in a way it is really three separate dresses layered over each other with only the fact that the fabric used is so light that is possibly works.The entire dress weighs only a few ounces and feel like air when worn. The bodice is loose and east with a sexy little cut out at each shoulder, under which each sleeve flows. The sleeves are those same thee layers and I love how each layer peeks out form under the other so you can see each and it acts like a border. The sleeves are cut wide - they have an almost kimono feel and come out from the elastic waist. There is also a tie that runs through the waist allowing you to cinch it in for more shape or wear it loose r. The skirt flows to the floor with a high wide slit and again each layer is done so you can see an edge of the three tones. The print on the very top layer is hand screened and the design is a profusion of huge blossoms running on an angle adding a sense of height to the wearer. Love it. Excellent condition

The inner layers serve as the lining. It slips on with elastic and a tie running through the waist. Ties at each shoulder allow you to adjust how low it sits.

I love the classic cut of this suit with it's box jacket and flare skirted dress. The cut is just so classic and timeless it could be from a runway today.  The dress is a simple shift that is cut to skim over your curves with the skirt flaring out as it nears the hem and a inverted pleat running down its center for extra volume and shape. It is refined and graceful and feels very female and regal. The silk is like a matte sharkskin silk and has a unique and wonderful texture with the fabric heavy enough to help keep that structural shape but not heavy enough so that it is in any way uncomfortable to wear. The jacket is classic box cut with a pretty tie front. It is simplicity mixed with a masterful seaming and cutting and extraordinary fabric. Love this little silk dress that simply wraps into place and weighs ounces. Tuleh did the flirty cocktail dress to perfection and I think this is one of their best examples. The silk is very light weight and I love the little white star print in the black. Their signature is scattered through the print as well. The wrap cut is very sexy since you can tie it to be more modest or allow for a dramatic front plunge. The waist can be cinched with the long attached ties for maximum curves. The skirt is cut so that it is shorter at the front and this allows for more leg to show when you move. The entire front edges are finished with a ruffle and that same ruffle finishes each sleeve as well. It is so feminine and that star print is perfect for the season. Excellent, appears unworn condition.

The colors in this gown are amazing, and when combined with the gold metallic threads that run top to bottom on this gown it is just beautiful. The exterior layer is a silk organza that besides the gold threading has a secondary print running through it. I love the richness of the deep red tones mixed with the gold threading and the little gold thread medallions woven through the fabric. The medallions each have a little exotic felling design woven into each of them for a third texture. All this layered over the interior red silky rayon lining really creates a nice, rich hippie chic, exotic feel. The sleeves are wonderful, each wrist is caught up with an elastic finish so that the sleeve puffs out above to create a subtle billowing. The neck is simple and high and the skirt is full but not overly and flares out as it falls to the floor. It is a beautiful, dramatic piece. Excellent condition.

This top and skirt set from the Anglomania Vivienne Westwood label is fantastic. I love the sexy hourglass silhouette, this two piece outfit has and it is not only sexy but versatile too. Both pieces are made from a cotton mix and are light weight to wear. The skirt is beautifully cut  it has a more fitted feel but with extra fabric and detail at the back that gives just a hint of a bustle and flirty kick. The corset top can be worn as a jacket layered over other pieces as well as on its own and is classic unabashedly Westwood with its low wide cut front that shows off the bust line and the notched low collar that sits along the shoulders. The waist nips in and a peplum finish adds to the curved appeal of the set. The jacket has an almost distressed feel to the fabric as if it was worn and loved but this is entirely intentional on the designer part. It's fabulous! Being separates you can wear and style them a million different ways. Excellent condition

Fabulous and very sexy Missoni knit gown in their signature multi-hued print. This one is cut to show off the body with an around the neck halter and a deep front plunge. This curves around and leaves the back entirely bare! The bodice flows into a nipped in waist and then the skirt cascades to the floor skimming over the hips and flaring out gently as it nears the hem. I love the bias cut feel the light knit gives and the movement that this creates through the skirt. The knot itself has a touch of metallic so the texture and depth is incredible. This is a lovely and versatile dress with a very easy to wear cut to it. The cut has a plunging neck with a tie sitting at the bottom of the plunge and because of the way it is cut it works equally as well to wear this at the back as it does the front. On the opposite side the collar is high and has soft pleats where the fabric is set into it - the attached tie acts as a high collar and the way it drapes again works whether you wear it at the front or the back. The cut is full so you can wear it loose and easy like a caftan or you could easily belt it to create shape. To contrast the fullness through the body, each sleeve is more fitted and skinny. I  love the dusting of rhinestones that runs over the fabric near the plunge to create just a touch of glitz. Excellent condition

This dress is insane and yet still fabulous. The fabric is so unusual. It is a bright neon pink and is like nothing I have seen before. It is very plush - almost like a cross between a long velvet and a chenille but with this odd almost "crunchy" tactile feel to it. The collar is padded and rounded and cut to sit off the shoulders and has an almost space age feel to it. The body skims over the waist and it is super short. You can't help but get the attention of every eye when you walk into a room in this little number - it is drama and attention getting to the extreme, Really unusual and unique. I love it. A very fine and fabulous sequin wiggle dress by Donald Brooks that I just adore. If you love it in the photos you will love it even more when you actually get to see the level of construction and work that would have been done to so densely hand apply all the tiny sequins by hand to cover the dress with this amount of coverage. The base fabric is black and cut to mold itself to the bust and waist and then the skirt flares out. The surface of the dress is entirely covered in glossy black sequins and it really catches the light wonderfully. I love the cut of the skirt with its draped panels of fabric that create a pretty wave when you are standing still and really flare out the skirt and give it volume if you twirl. The waist nips in to create that sexy bombshell silhouette and the dress is suspended form the shoulders by sequin covered straps that narrow from the V neckline. Excellent condition.

What a beautiful Pucci dress that is constructed from one of his signature silk jerseys with a bright pattern in a mix of colors that just pops off the black backdrop. The bodice skims over the bust to the waist and the waist is accented by a contrasting printed border. Another border accents the high V neck. The bodice tops a sleek and simple skirt with a slight Aline cut and another accenting border around the hem and up one side. The sleeves are left simple and slim cut. This is a classic Pucci silhouette that is instantly recognizable and very sexy despite it not being super form fitting. I love all the contrasting print panels that give the cut visual definition. A band of that print also runs down the back top of the dress. The colors all pop against each other beautifully. Excellent condition.

"I wanted to push print to the limit" said Mary Katranzou to Style.com of this collection. On the runway this print combination was shown on a similar bodice with a china (as in chinaware) inspired corseted hip peplum and the skirt was shown long and flowing. For retail production the pattern was used on the silhouette that seemed to be the hit of the show and one that would become a mainstay as we see Mary grow and develop collection after successful collection. It is strapless and fitted through the bodice and then the hip is cut to shape and flare in a rounded curve. The two contrasting prints are stunning and work perfectly together. She is absolutely one of the new guard and pieces like this from her early collections will only become more collectible and valuable as time passes and her star continues to rise. This is the kind of dress that the house of Chanel really excels at with its understated elegance and beautiful lines. The fabric is a soft dove grey and the fabric has an almost subtle angora feel to it, but it is actually a combination of wool and silk thread. I imagine that it is a fabric that Chanel had made solely for them as most of their fabric are. The dress was a touch too large on my mannequin so in real life will sit a little better on a girl who is the correct size for the dress. I love the flat pleat work that adorns the front bodice and the classic Chanel pockets that sit on both sides of  the bodice and are placed on each hip. The dress is finished with a deep red pipe detail that gives it a pop of color and highlight the lines of the dress. It has a flattering cut with a bit of a dropped waist that harkens back to the early days of Chanel. Finished with 14 logo embossed gold toned metal buttons that are each signed. Excellent condition

The bodice and sleeves are unlined and the skirt has a silver tissue silk lining. Closes with the buttons at the front as seen and a button closes each cuff. Tagged a 44 but please check actual measurements.

This Malcolm Starr is stunning. The fabric hits you right off - it is a beautiful silver metallic brocade with a diamond pattern running over it that has a touch of dimension so you really get amazing play on light. The dress is cut with a baby doll silhouette with a definitive swing cut to it as the skirt widens out with a dramatic sweep. The waist line is high and big bold buttons adorn the front, emphasizing that Alice in Wonderland, baby doll feel even more. The sleeves are long and slim. The buttons at the front are incredible - each is a domed metal button with cut work and rhinestones laid along its curved surface - almost like little crowns. The detail I love the most though is that fabulous soft curved peat created at the front and the fact the along each side seam are little hidden pockets. Excellent condition.

Fully lined in a silver toned silky rayon and closes with a back painted metal zipper. The zipper is set to follow and be hidden by the seam up on side! The front metal domed buttons are inlaid with rhinestones and I see no missing stones. They are decorative only. Front pockets along the seam. Hand finished.

I have had the twin of this little sequin set pass through my hands once or twice on the past and each time I am thrilled to have it as it is just such a great set. The silhouette feels fresh right now too and its well made and fabulous. Mollie Parnis is one of my favorite American designers and this little set is one of the reasons why. The base is a light stretch lurex knit that will move and stretch to drape and cling to the body in the best possible way. Over this, hundreds of gold sequins have been sewn into place so the entire set gleams and glitters in the light. The cut is spectacular - the fabric means it forms to the body but then the sleeves and pant legs are flared out and wide. The lightness of the fabric means that these drape and move fabulously too and it all adds up to a long and lean silhouette. Excellent condition.

Both piece are unlined and have some stretch to the fabric. The tunic closes with a back metal and nylon zipper and the pants have elastic at the waist.

How absolutely gorgeous is this dress? Made by Gino Charles for Malcolm Starr, it is yet another shining example of why we love these kind of pieces around here. I love the slightly medieval vibe it has created by the placement of the panels. It has a real richness to it with that pretty green tone mixed with the gold thread and contrasting pink panels. It is made of a screened poly organza with little gold thread medallions woven through it. The medallions are scattered over both the pink and green panels so the entire dress has a subtle glint in the light. Each panel is separated by a waved gold cord that has little green rhinestones set in the tops of each wave. Very pretty.  This combined with the way the colors are laid out really creates a nice, hippie chic, exotic feel. I love the full puffed sleeves that billow above each cuffed wrist. The neck is simple and high and the skirt is full but not overly . It is a beautiful, dramatic piece and presents as excellent condition.

Fully lined in a pale pink silk with the sleeves left unlined. It closes with a back painted metal zipper . Each cuff closes with hidden set snaps. Note that there are perspiration marks on the inner lining. They do not show at all on the exterior but are present inside. It has been professionally cleaned (as are all our garments) and there are no odours or other issues. I have reduced the price substantially so you are getting an amazing dress at about half the price for an issue that does not show when on. Note that the colors are a little more "pastels" and softer then how it photoed

This beautiful 1960s gown has an almost identical fabric to an Oscar De La Renta I have had in the shop so I am very happy with the quality of it. It is shockingly light - I know it looks like it should not be with the gold - at first glance it appears to be a brocade - but the fabric is actually a really unusual textured silk organza fabric. Onto this, gold thread has been worked in to highlight the vibrant print that is custom screened onto the gown. The pattern is fantastic - purples and corals mix with pink flowers that explode across a deep blue backdrop. It is cut in a long sheath that widens as it nears the hem making it very easy to wear. I love how the design is set on an angle - this cleverly draws the eye and creates a longer. leaner silhouette. The sleeves are left unlined for a bit of different texture and weight and gold flat braiding circles the neck for a pretty finish. Excellent condition

This wonderful printed silk Malcolm Starr is quite beautiful and I love the bright cheery feel it has. One can imagine this as originally residing in the closet of some fabulous and happy girl and it would have been a piece that they would have thrown on with jeweled sandals, champagne glass in hand, to entertain in or to go dancing. The design is a bright combination of pinks with pops of coral and greens screened onto a twill silk. The colors are still crisp and true due to the high grade of silk used. Easy to wear with a simple bodice that buttons down the front with pretty jeweled buttons. The skirt is amazing with lots of fullness and an almost baby doll feel to it. Excellent condition.

Fully lined in a off white semi sheer silky rayon. It closes to the waist with buttons and then wraps over itself at the waist and secures with hidden snaps. I love both the chic little lines of this dress, in person you get a better sense of the subtle pleat work that runs down the front as well as that amazing print. It is Miss Dior and is constructed to extremely high standards - all hand finished and properly done with every stitch. It is cut on a slight A-line and has a nice sharp feel to its sheath dress lines. It is cut to have a bit of swing to it but also has a belt that you can choose to wear with it to add and define some shape. Made of a fine light challis that holds the shape and color beautifully but is not heavy or bulky at all. Really a jewel. Excellent condition

The Silverman company closed in 1978 and they donated their archives and clothing collection to the Kent State University which formed the start of the Museum there. It is always lovely to have apiece form a designer whose name will continue through the efforts of museums like that. This is a really spectacular one shoulder silk chiffon dress and is utterly and perfectly feminine. It is constructed of a pretty silk chiffon that flows and moved beautifully. The design that runs over it is amazing with a floral motif in pinks and blues. It is almost weightless and yet constructed so that it drapes on the body perfectly. The skirt is to the floor and has lots of fabric in it which gives it a very floating effect when you move. The waist is cinched under the fitted one shoulder bodice. Excellent condition

This is a beauty. I absolutely fell in love with it. I love the bright and pretty combination of pinks and corals that will flatter almost any skin tone. I love the unique design, on one side you have a long and lean silk chiffon sleeve and on the other the cut is pure caftan with no sleeve underneath just a flowing swath of silk chiffon draping to the floor. The dress underneath is a chic column of silk chiffon on the same pattern so you get a marvelous effect with the layering the the design. The front is a high neck but the back is scooped low and rounded leave a bare expanse of skin. Very sexy. It moves and floats around the wearer. The print is a fabulous angular design bu the background of it has an almost subtle tie dye effect. Very unique and very beautiful. Excellent, appears unworn condition.

I love the vintage vibe that this fabulous Dolce and Gabbana dress has with its combination of patterns and the fitted silhouette. The photos really don't do it justice in capturing how wonderful the two fabrics work together in person and how they play off of each other. The top fabric has an almost puffed, three dimensional feel to it that is created by a silver metallic silver thread that runs through. It gives the top portion a real very sixties vibe. This pretty fabric goes perfectly with the beautiful quilted floral silk that is used for the skirt. A wide black grosgrain band defines the waist and anchors the entire dress. And the fact that the lining is down in their signature leopard? Just the perfect hidden finishing touch. Excellent, appears unworn condition.

This is a super cute, later version of one of the most iconic Cardin designs. I have had one of the originals in the shop in the past (see it here) and I could not resist this little version even though I normally do not buy the later pieces. However the pretty color and good quality construction made me make an exception for this. This is based on one of his most iconic designs that features a round cut out at the neck and a great little shift shape that widens slightly as it nears the hem. The fabric is a great pop of color to add into your wardrobe and the shape is flattering. the fabric is a stretch wool crepe and very easy to wear and light. Super cute! Excellent, appear unworn condition

The earlier Moschino pieces are so much fun! They have that bit of wit that Franco Moschino so successfully infused into them. His clothes are always cut well, due to his tailoring beginnings and this balances out the sometimes outrageous designs. This little fitted shift has a bold black and white dot print. Onto the front are huge appliques of fruit that pop off the dotted background in vivid colors. They include cherries, a lemon,orange and watermelon slice. It is a definite showpiece and so fun! Presents as excellent condition.

Fully lined in a white silky rayon and closes with a back zipper. There are a couple of teeny storage marks on the dots on the front - super size the picture and look between the orange and watermelon. They do not distract at all.

Flowers swirl in a print of blues, greens, yellows and pinks and then that is mixed with the Versace leopard print. A little gold tone metal Medusa head dangles from the zipper pull for that perfect finish. Insanely good and micro short for maximum leg exposure. For the Versace collector this is heaven! Even Oscar succumbed tot he eighties and made this little flirty dress with its tiered lace, asymmetrical skirt, that is perfectly eighties, but in the best possible way. It is quite beautiful and flirty and it is definitely a dress to go dancing in. Made of a mix of a light black stretch velvet and a black net with a deep burgundy dot worked through the net. Three layers of net sits over each other on an angled cut. I love how the edges of each layer of net has been finished with dressmakers tape so that you get a rounded fluted ruffle finish that really adds volume! The top is kept simple with tiny straps, perfectly offsetting the volume at the bottom. It is lightweight and an easy to wear piece whose design gives it a high impact factor. Excellent condition.

What a find! This beautiful black velvet dress by Givenchy Couture that reminds me of a vintage skating dress with its pretty full skirt and front button closure. And it has an extra special tie in as my client purchased this at the Nan Kempner charity sale held after her passing.

The skirt is full - there are actually several yards of fabric in there - and that fullness is made more apparent by the nipped in waist. The top is more fitted and buttons down the front with a band of flat piping along the row of buttons emphasizing the and adding length. The waist is cinched in and the buckle of the belt is large, acting as a draw of the eye and the shoulders lightly padded to squqre them off, again elements that further emphasize that illusion of a tiny waist. It will completely close right up and will create a high regal neckline if you wish. The velvet fabric used adds a nice texture to the dress and a visual interest without having to add pattern or design. The dress is in excellent condition. I have had this dress before and it is one of my favorite pieces from Sant 'Angelo so I was thrilled to have it again.My last was an unlabeled version but this one has its proper label and looks as new as the day it was made. It is a wrap dress and in typical Sant 'Angelo style, uses bright primary colors to make a statement. He is known for his prints and color and here he turns the entire dress into one dramatic statement. It wraps around itself and ties at the waist creating a low front and even more plunging back. One half of the bodice is blue, the other purple and a wide panel of red defines the waist. The green skirt anchors it all and is wonderfully full when you twirl. The chiffon crepe used gives it a great drape and really a "dancer" feel. Really exceptional. Excellent, appears unworn condition.

The skirt does not wrap, rather you step into it and then wrap the waist ties to secure in place. The top is unlined and the waist panel and skirt are a double layer of the same exterior fabrics. The long ties are attached.
