Ultra Rare Spring 1993 Versace by Gianni Versace Silk Black & White Printed Off Shoulder Bell Bottom Jumpsuit
I Have a Question
- This is an absolutely fantastic and ultra rare piece from the Spring 1993 Versace collection.
- It was made under the creative direction of Gianni Versace.
- Similar pieces was seen on the runway worn by Linda Evangelista, versions were shot for Italian Vogue and used for various editorials that season.
- This collection was an homage to South Beach, a place that Gianni absolutely loved. In 1991 he bought Casa Casuarina, a mansion on Ocean Drive. Two years and $30 million later it was a lavish palazzo. But before that completed, he created this spring 1993 show as a love letter to South Beach. Little Havana was referenced in the amazing bell bottom pieces and floral printed silks, both of which are found on this jumpsuit.
- The jumpsuit is made out of a black and white floral printed silk that has a beautifully soft finish to it which makes it very comfortable and easy to wear once on the body.
- A wide 5" band of the floral printed silk is mixed with a second ruffle made out of a black and white dotted silk. This gorgeous double layer of ruffles circles around the shoulders with a silk covered elastic band that lets it sit perfectly in place on you. I I love the bare expanse of skin this leaves showing across the top of the shoulders. As good as it looks on the dress form it will be even better once it is on a body.
- The body of the jumpsuit skims over you and its cut is shaped to follow your curves. Depending on your preference and size, it can be worn super fitted or have more of a skimming feel over you.
- All of the shape over the bust, waist and hips is created by long vertical seaming. The waist curves to come in for shape and then the silk curves back out over the hips.
- The pants are phenomenal. Each one has a fairly straight leg to about the knee. At that point there is a curving seam that wraps around the waist and into that the bottom of the pant leg has been added. The fabric is done in an extra full flare to create that fantastic bell bottom that you see. It is made out of two layers of silk. There is an inner dotted layer that extends out past the hem and then the floral printed layer over that. When you lay it out each bell bottom is a full 52" all the way around. I love how the dotted fabric peeks out from below the hem and ties the dotted fabric on the ruffle around the shoulders together perfectly.
- The extreme bell shape of the lower pant legs creates phenomenal movement when you move but because the silk fabric is so light and fine they have the perfect amount of fullness when you stand still.
- The jumpsuit is unlined and closes with a back zipper. It appears to have been worn very little if at all.

Very Rare Spring 1993 Versace by Gianna Versace Runway & Lookbook 'Miami Collection' Floral Print Silk Vest
I Have a Question
- This is an absolutely fantastic and very rare piece whose twin walked the Spring 1993 Versace runway.
- It was made under the creative direction of Gianni Versace
- Besides being prominently featured on the runway, it was featured in editorials for the Versace lookbook.
- This collection was an homage to South Beach, a place that Gianni absolutely loved. In 1991 he bought Casa Casuarina, a mansion on Ocean Drive. Two years and $30 million later it was a lavish palazzo, but before that was completed, he created this Spring 1993 show as a love letter to South Beach. Little Havana was referenced in the amazing floral printed silks that we see on this piece.
- On the runway, this was worn over a printed bell bottom pant in a contrasting floral print. In real life, you could certainly re-create that look or pair it with something simpler to let the vest shine on its own. It would look equally as good topping any length skirt, a pant, and you could even go very daring and wear something far more bare underneath.
- The vest is made out of a printed silk that mixes a solid black for the collar and lining. Black silk is also used for the properly finished button holes and the silk covered buttons at the front. It has a slightly softened feel to it that gives it a bit of a washed cast. This is intentional and carries through the entire piece where the black silk has been used.
- The rest of the vest has a brilliant oversized floral print running over it that is spectacular. It mixes all the primary colours and covers the entire piece. I love how the back panel of the vest is a different floral panel pattern for contrast.
- The shawl collar curves down low to the waist and then the vest closes with a double set of silk covered buttons across the front. Long floral covered tails fall around the side of the hip and down the front. These will end around or past the knee depending on your height.
- At the back, seams curve inwards to add shape through the waist and there is a fabric half belt that you use to cinch in and add more shape. The belt buckle and added embellishment on the belt are amazing. They are made out of a gold toned metal with the tops of each piece finished in a red, hand poured enamel. There are two curving pieces, one that secures the belt once buckled and the other to finish the end of the belt strap. Three more straight pieces sit on either side of that for added decoration. It is a very decadent and beautiful extra touch of detail.
- This is an iconic and highly collectible piece of Versace history. That is an easy piece to incorporate some vintage into your existing wardrobe.
- The vest is fully lined in a black silk and closes with the two front buttons that have properly finished button holes. As noted above, the black silk portion of the vest has a slight washed feel to its finish that appears intentional. It does have a fabric and size tag, but it is faded and you can no longer read what size it is.
- The size tag has faded so please go buy the measurements listed below
- Excellent condition
Bust: 16-18" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 14.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: approx 19" flat across from side seam to side seam but because the tails open at the front, there is some wiggle room and it should fit a little larger. The tails would just be spread open more at the front.
Total length: 44" from neck to longest point of the front hem, 20" from neck to the back hem

Chic 2000s Gianni Versace Bronze Gathered Silk Bodice Dress w an Elaborately Beaded Cut Out Front & Sweepimng Back
I Have a Question
- This is a very glamorous Versace dress that dates to the early 2000s.
- The dress is made out of a deep bronze coloured silk that is flattering on almost all skin tones.
- It is a dress that is insanely sexy and bare feeling yet you are still very covered. it has a bit of a nod to the Loris Azzaro rung dresses and you have to wonder if that was its inspiration.
- The silk is just heavy enough to give the dress an amazing drape so that it falls perfectly over the body.
- From the top of the hips to the top of the bodice the silk has been gathered into soft little horizontal folds. These are all gathered into the beaded bands that curves vertically down the front to form three cut outs. The bands extend out to form the straps that curve around the neck and hook into place.
- The waist is shaped to come in slightly and the silk curves back outward over the top of the hips.
- Below that the skirt falls to the floor in a cascade of copper coloured silk. It.skims over the hips and then the lower skirt flares out all the way around you. This gives a tremendous movement when you move.
- I love that the back is cut longer than the front for a beautiful sweep of fabric behind you.
- The dress is fully lined in a matching silk and closes with a hidden set zipper. The neck hooks into place at the back of the neck.

Rare Spring 1998 Gianni Versace Runway Silver Sequin & Thread Detail Pink & Black Dress
I Have a Question
- The twin of this dress walked the runway for the Spring 1998 Versace show.
- It was made under the creative direction of Gianni Versace.
- This is a rare and early documented example of his work.
- The dresses made of two layers of silk. There is an inner silk layer that is a bright vivid pink and then this is topped with a black silk chiffon that has a touch of transparency.
- Onto the top black layer is an elaborate pattern made of silver metallic thread and little tiny silver sequins. This adds a subtle sparkle over the entire dress.
- Two triangles sit at the front bust and they are brought inwards at the neck leaving an open keyhole underneath. The straps circle around both sides of your neck and then meet at the back. They curve outwards to meet the sides of a full open scoop that leaves most of your back bare and exposed.
- It skims over the waist and hips from there and I love the lingerie effect created by having the black float over the inner pink layer.
- The inner pink silk layer acts as the lining. The neck of the dress slips over the head and then the dress closes with a hidden set side zipper. When the dress is off the body the pink under-layer appears to extend past the bottom by a couple of inches but it is bias cut so once on it lines up as shown in the photos here.

I Have a Question
- A fabulous dress from the late 1990s
- Made under the creative direction of Gianni Versace
- The dress is very sexy with its cut out and made of a stretch fabric that hugs and shapes the body.
- The colour is a bright chartreuse that is just exceptional.
- There is light padding in each shoulder, and this holds the dress and gives it a tapered field to the waist.
- It skims over the body and then is gathered in a long, one side all the way around. The other side has been left open and is meant to drape down on the top of one hip. This leaves a bear exposed cut out on that side that wraps around to the back.
- The fabric has been gathered under the hip on that side, and then the skirt falls from narrowing down as it reaches the ham.
- There is a high slit on one side that goes right to the bottom of the gathering on the hip and there is a little quirky gathering on the opposite side to that sitting several inches above the hem.
- All of these gatherings and cut out give it a really sculptural feel around the body.
- It's fully lined in a more Matt version of the same stretch material. The fabric does have stretch so the measurement below or the comfortable range when the dress is laying flat. It has no closures and slips on to wear.

1990s Gianni Versace Pale Pastel Salmon Silk Crepe Wrapped Bodice & Bare Back Dress
I Have a Question
- Circa late 1990s
- Under the creative direction of Gianni Versace
- A muted pastel salmon colour that is more pastel feeling in real life than how it photoed here
- The dress has a wide gathered band around the waist and a piece that is attached and loops in and behind one of the panels that form the top
- The panels are one piece of fabric that loops around the neck and the down to attach into the waist. You cross it over itself so that it goes behind the neck. You can then wear them high up on the shoulder or have it cape and fall over the upper arm.
- This leaves your entire back open and exposed
- The skirt has an inner piece that acts a partial lining. The outer skirt drapes over that and forms those interesting pocket like pieces on each hip. It then drapes inwards and down to the hem with a centre slit up both the front and back of the skirt
- It is a very interesting and an avant garde design
- The bodice is made of two layers of the same fabric and the skirt has a partial lining through the hips and the rest of the skirt is unlined.

Bust: each panel is 11" flat across from side to side

I Have a Question
This set is from Spring 2002 and it is fabulous. On the runway this print was shown throughout the first part of the show and the jacket and pant that make up the set were shown separately. I love that this gives you some styling ideas when you don't want to wear them together as the full set. The book Versace:Catwalk noted that Donatella's "graphic floral prints echoed Andy Warhol's multi huge floral paintings as did the backdrop". I love that.
This two piece set combines a beautifully cut jacket with pants that are beaded from the knee down. I always love a suit because of the ability this gives you to mix and match the pieces with things you already own. The incredible floral print give the suit this incredible rock 'n' roll feel. The jacket is tailored with a sleek cut that follows the curves of the body. It has no collar and the sleeves are long with a notch opening up each wrist. A series of tightly spaced, hidden set, hook and eye close the jacket at the front. It comes in at the waist a touch for shape and is meant to follow the curves of the body, but without being too tight. The floral print that covers the jacket is spectacular to see. The fabric of the jacket is an almost canvas feeling cotton mix with a slight texture that gives the perfect backdrop to the print. The pants are made of a super light in weight stretch fabric that lets the pants hug the body like a second skin. There is a small band at the waist that is meant to flip inwards and then nothing else to break the eye as they fall in a fairly straight boot cut to the floor. From about the knee down the floral print is covered in matching coloured beads and sequins. These catch the light terrifically as you move. It is fabulous and a great little piece of fashion history. Excellent condition
The jacket is lined in an ivory Versace logo embossed fabric and hooks to close at the front. The pants are unlined and close with a back zipper. Padding in each shoulder of the jacket. Both pieces appear to have been worn very little if at all. The pants are tagged a 42 and the jacket has no size tag present. The hips of the pants have some stretch and the comfortable range is given in the measurements below.
Jacket
Sleeves: 24" and each arm is 14" around the upper arm
Shoulders: 15.5"
Bust: to 18" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: to 16" flat across from side seam to side seam
Bottom seam: 17.5 flat across from side seam to side seam

Hips: 16-21" flat across from side seam to side seam
