This is a classic circa 1989-1990 Chanel camera bag in a deep beautiful milk chocolate. The leather is quilted and has a 'puffed' effect to it. Gold toned hardware and chaining. It closes with a zipper that runs across the top and on the zipper pull is an attached tasseled fringed bag charm in the same leather with double CC metal hardware at the top. On the front is a folded flap with the Chanel double Cs logo topstitched onto it. This opens to reveal a slanted slit pocket. Inside it is lined in a dark brown leather with one zippered pocket one one side. Leather and chain handle. In good vintage condition
Guaranteed authentic. Intact hologram, and stamped appropriately. Date code reads 1540666. In good overall condition with small minor water spots here and there as seen in the photos. The quilting has de-puffed slightly and there is some wear and grubbiness to the edges on the front flap from normal wear. Minor storage smell inside. You can send this out to have it refurbished with Chanel or a specialist and it would double in value and look brand new or wear it with its current patina and the vintage charm it has. The dress form it is photoed on is life size so gives you an excellent idea of size and how it sits on an actual person. The leather is slightly darker in colour in person.
9" W x 6.5" H x 2" D - the chain and leather handle adds 18" to the height

1980s Unlabeled Chanel Haute Couture Black Velvet Tabard w Silk Chiffon & Lace Under Skirt
I Have a Question
This comes from the same collection of couture pieces that I am handling at the moment for my client and all she could recall for this piece was this it was her mothers, it was from Chanel and that it was from the eighties, maybe early 90s. I have not yet found a photo reference for this one but when I do I will add it or send to the new owner. The set is incredibly beautiful on the body.
The dress is stunning. It is made up of two separate pieces. The top piece is an inky black tabard that is made out of a rich soft silk velvet. At the front it is cut in a simple sleeveless sheath that has a subtle seam just under the bodice. The back dips into a low square to show a bare expanse of skin. Inside it is lined in a hand set heavy black silk that feels amazing against the skin. It closes at the side with a zipper but only to the top of the hip. Under that it is completely open on that side. You then wear the skirt under this and the skirt acts as a bit of coverage to keep the top layer from being completely scandalous. The skirt is marvellous. It is as light as air and made of alternating squares of a very fine netting with a lace flower woven through the netting. The squares are set on their sides so they become diamonds and the lace diamonds are offset with solid black diamonds made of a fine black silk. The skirt is meant to be worn under the velvet tabard dress so that it just peaks out along the side of the dress that has that extreme slit. This still leaves your leg completely exposed underneath right to the hip so it is very sexy but in an insanely subtle and refined manner. The skirt is very light in a weight and very beautiful. I love that they did the same amount of work on it all the way around for the entire skirt even though you only see that bit down one leg when the pieces are worn together. These are the types of extravagances that you find and fall in love with in true couture. It is stunning on the body. Excellent condition
The tabard over dress is fully lined in a black silk and the skirt is unlined. Both pieces close with side zippers and the skirt has hook & eye at the waist band. All the interior work is done by hand to Haute Couture standards. It appears to have been worn very little if at all. Sourced from the original couture client

Spring 2000 Chanel Haute Couture Black Silk Taffeta Sculpted Jacket & Tapered Pant Suit Set
I Have a Question
This is an incredible example of Karl lagerfeld's Haute Couture work. On the runway this was shown with a full wide skirt and I love that it is different because it shows you the versatility of it how you could potentially wear it with a skirt from your own closet. My client opted for a sleek tapered legged trouser instead of the skirt which I think really allows the jacket and its lines to really shine. In the book 'Chanel Catwalk' they said of this collection; 'Karl Lagerfeld focused on suits ..for this haute couture collection, presented as a winding catwalk in a riding centre in the Bois de Boulogne. It featured 'only' fifty-eight looks, 'but I could have had many more,' Lagerfeld told Women's Wear Daily, 'because we have many clients and they want suits, suits, suits.'
The lines of this suit are crisp and sharp and the tailoring is immaculate. Both pieces are made out of a silk taffeta that allows them to retain the exact lines that Lagerfeld intended. The jacket is cut so that it is fitted to the upper bodice and shoulders and then flares outwards as it glides past the hips. The collar is neat and small and I love how it is notched and shaped at the front. It zips to close under a shaped panel of fabric at the front and there are two small discreet holes that you can slide a pin, french cuffs or a very thin ribbon through to add some detailing as they did on the runway. Each sleeve is long and straight with a touch of width to it. These end in a notched slit rather then a traditional cuff which falls in line with the sleek minimalist feel of the rest of the suit. In a little hidden surprise the underside of each cuff, the inside the collar and the front panel of fabric over the zipper have all been meticulously hand lined in a pale gold metallic silk. The pants are sleek and simple in their cut. They are flat fronted and cut to taper down to the ankles. A sharp pleat has been hand sewn down the front and the back of each leg. The inside of the suit is as immaculate as the outside and it is of course, entirely made by hand. The iconic gold Chanel chain runs along the inner hem of the jacket and I suspect that it is actually gold plated. Every stitch is perfection. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of true couture by one of the most important designers of our lifetime. Excellent condition with a minor note below.
The jacket is lined in a black silk and closes with a hidden zipper under the front panel of fabric. The pants zip to close with a hidden set side zipper. I see a slight touch of stress to part of the front middle seam on the pant, see the photo after the label shots. Both piece are hand finished to couture standards. Proper couture labels present with couture tape 78762 under the tag on the jacket and 78763 under the pant tag. Sourced from the original couture client

I Have a Question
From the Spring 1994 collection comes this iconic printed beach towel featuring a mix of some of the most well known items that have come to represent the Chanel brand. The twin of this particular towel was shown on the runway wrapped around Claudia Mason, it also appeared in the Lookbook for that season and was shot for Vogue. The outer border is the soft sea blue color and the back of the towel is white. The background behind the printed parts is the soft pastel pink you see. It is made out of 100% cotton printed terrycloth. Excellent condition with one small snag on the terry cloth that I have photoed and you can see in the last two shots before the reference photos.

This dates to the early 2000s and is a remarkable throwback to the deco era in feel with its amazing large Chanel logo print that runs across the bottom of the towel. Three vintage feeling girls, complete with one piece swimsuits and a variety of head wraps, dive and cavort among those letter. The rest of the towel combines a curving print made of two blues and the famous double Cs and its bordered in a red stripe. The entire back of the towel is white. It is made out of 100% cotton printed terrycloth. Excellent condition with a small amount of normal patina from normal, light wear and washing. Minor marks on the back as seen on the last photo here

I Have a Question
In the Vogue review of the Fall 2009 collection they noted that Karl Lagerfeld titled the Fall 2009 collection Belle Brummell (inspired by Beau Brummell) ... 'a gender-reassigned quip referring to the British Regency dandy who dictated men's fashion by tying his cravats in ever more elaborate configurations. The pun also gave full permission to bring the classic Chanel white georgette blouse into play, a perfect device for subtracting the austerity from black in a distinctly Rue Cambon manner. Lagerfeld worked it every which way, in bouclé, lace, knit, satin, and paillettes.."
This jacket embodies that feel with its high glamour and decidedly elaborate configuration. It is made out of a pale putty colored mohair that is a fine and light as gossamer. It seems to weigh mere ounces when you hold it and yet it somehow manages to retain the structure and volume he intended it to have. The body of the jacket is more loosely woven and finished with a fine scattering of fringed detailing. This gives it texture and dimension but without any weight added. The sleeves are incredible and each is a cascade of ruffles overlapping each other. These are even more incredible when you realize that the ruffles are formed from one long swath of knit that has been hand set onto each sleeve in a curving design that wraps down the arm. I have lifted one part of the ruffle and photoed it for you to be able to see just how incredible the workmanship is to achieve this final look. On addition there is silk tulle inset into each sleeve to help retain the shape and volume you see. At the neck is a long black silk satin tie that gives it that perfect Chanel finish and contrast. It is magical and looks to have never been worn or worn very little. Excellent condition
Unlined and slips on the wear. Ties at the neck. Tulle inset into teach sleeve so hold the shape and volume. Hand finished throughout and hand knit. Tagged a Chanel 38. It appears to have never been worm or worn very little. The easy cut should allow it to fit a range of sizes.

I Have a Question
This is a beautiful set from the 2005 Cruise collection. I always think that these two piece set are extra great additions to your wardrobe since they can be worn together or you can mix and match with other pieces already in your wardrobe. Both pieces have the beautiful cut and fabrication that you expect from Chanel. The sweater top is made out of a light weight black cashmere. The sleeves and hem are then finished with a banding of the same boucle fabric that the skirt is made out of. Just above the bottom band at the hem there is also two little strips of the boucle that are fused into the cashmere to give the suggestion of the classic Chanel pocket that would sit on the front of a jacket. It is cut to be worn more loose and easy through the body and can be worn tucked in or left out. There is also a little metal double C logo on the bottom band. The skirt is made entirely of the boucle fabric and has a sleek cut with front vents built into the skirt for a little bit of flare when you walk. The boucle mixes soft ivories, camels, grey and blacks and is very beautiful. As you get closer you can see some parts have a metallic finish to them that gives it an extra bit of texture. It is wonderful. Excellent condition with one small note about the top below
The top is unlined and the skirt lined in a fine ivory silk. The tops slips on to wear and the skirt close with a hidden set zipper. Hand finishes throughout. The skirt is tagged a vintage 38 and the top a 42. The top shows some very slight wear to the fabric under the arms. Please review the last two photos after the label shot

I Have a Question
This is an exceptional piece of vintage Chanel and a rare find. This is a very early piece of Karl's work for Chanel. His first collection was in 1983 and it is amazing to have a verified piece from just a few short years into his long career there. A version of the dress made of the same fabric walked the runway that season and we were able to find that reference photo. The hand written tag on the dress is also marked 1986 and there is a special order tag from Bergdorf's with the exact date and client name. It is a wonderful example of the work that Karl was doing for Chanel during this time period.
The dress is made from a of a metallic gold thread set on a black silk chiffon. The effect that this gives is that it is a gold lace. You only realize that it is made of that fine gold metal thread as you get closer to it. This fabric treatment also gives it a touch of a 3D feel. Under the top part of the dress is a inset bodice made out of black silk chiffon. This leaves the upper shoulders and arms covered in just a single layer of the chiffon and gold so you get a touch of transparency there. The cut of the dress has been kept fairly simple so that the fabric can take center stage. The neckline is set slightly wide and the edges of it follow the lace pattern. The sleeves are long and the bodice is cut to skim over the buts and waist. This then flares out to the hem of the skirt. The front is cut to a more cocktail length and this curves down into a longer back skirt that is a true maxi length by the time it reaches the longest point of the back hem. This high low cut is tremendously fabulous and it lets the dress have more range. You are able to wear it to both a less formal cocktail affair, yet it will still work for a formal event as well. It has the Chanel boutique label with a hand written label below that with the date and other information. It is beautifully made. Excellent condition
Full lined in a fine black silk chiffon with an inner chiffon bodice suspended by tiny straps and in inner silk skirt. Hand finishes. The inner bodice has its own zipper to close it and then the outer layer closes with a series of buttons and loops down the back.Buttons and loop at each cuff. Cut slightly on the bias so may come up a touch in length when on depending on your frame

I Have a Question
This Chanel hat is amazing and I was very pleased to find a photo of Stella tenant wearing a version of it from the Fall 1996 collection. The hat is made to sit lightly on the top of the head. You can play with which direction you wish the feathers to face. It can literally be worn with the feathers at the front, either side, or at the back, This gives it so much versatility and the feel of it completely changes depends on how you have it sit on the head. It has an attached comb that holds it in place and then the glossy black feathers rise up from there for a very Haute Couture feel. It is an instant shot of high glamour to any outfit and a very collectible piece of Chanel. Excellent condition
Secures to the head with a comb. The base of a black felt wool and the feathers are still glossy and strong with no shedding. It will fit any size head. Each side of the triangle shape measures about 8" long.

I Have a Question
Without doubt this is truly an exceptional piece of vintage Chanel and a rare find. It is a wonderful example of the work that Chanel was creating during this time period. Both pieces are made from a of a metallic red silk lurex fabric that is very light and fine. Over that fabric, a black chenille cord has been hand applied into a twisting pattern that runs over the entirety of the set. There is a slight padding under the lurex so that it gives it a touch of a 3D feel as well. Both the jacket and the skirt are lined in a black tissue silk. The cut on each piece is simple so that the fabric can take center stage. The jacket has that classic Chanel box cut with no closures at the front. The edges are all lined in the same chenille cording that runs over the fabric. The skirt is cut to fit around the hips and then widens out as it nears the hem. Pockets sit on each hip. The fabric is not heavy but has enough weight to it that both pieces hold their shape. It has the Chanel boutique label in the jacket and the skirt has a hand written tape label inside which tells us that this was most likely a custom, or special order piece based on the runway look. It is made to demi-couture standards. Excellent condition
Full lined in a fine black tissue silk. Hand finished throughout. The jacket has no closures and the skirt closes with hand set zipper at the back and hook and eye at the waist band. Light padding in the shoulders of the jacket and pockets along the side seams on the skirt. Tape label reads "14122141" though the last number maybe be something else.

It is always wonderful to have a true piece of Haute Couture and this Chanel suit is to absolutely beautiful. It has the added binus of being a documented piece as its near twin is held in The Met Museums collection and I would hazard to say that our version is even prettier and the buttons on ours makes it that much more special (see the final reference photo provided). The current cost of a Chanel Haute couture suit is in the tens of thousands of dollars so the investment in a vintage version is not only smart but a prudent use of your dollars.
This beautiful suit has all of its proper Chanel Haute Couture labels and numbered tapes and it has all of the hallmarks of the Chanel suit present. The chain at the inner hem, the vertically stitched inner quilt effect used during this time period and the fine, inner workmanship, all done entirely by hand. It is constructed from a classic Chanel boucle that upon close inspection is actually a mix of a green, blue, coral and purple wool. all woven and thatched together. The proprietary boucle Chanel uses gives the fabric structure and stability one way and a slight bias cut effect the other. This is what creates that perfect fit that Chanel suits have. The fabric has the movement to really sculpt to the wearer and yet retains the shape and cut at the same time. The skirt falls to just below the knee with a slight flared cut and exactly spaced pleats at the front with a more sleek shape at the back. The jacket is classic Chanel with the two low set signature pockets at the front, each highlight with a floral shaped button. These buttons that sit there, down the front and at each cuff are very special in themselves. Each is hand made and constructed by hand wrapping the wire to form the camellias that you see. The matching top is equally as beautiful with an intricate pleated front, French cuffs button with those same wonderful buttons and the silk it is made out of exactly matches the inner silk lining of the jacket. Everything about it is special to the last detail. The suit is in excellent condition and the top has some issues so please review the full condition notes below
Both the skirt and jacket are fully lined in a hand set green silk. The jacket closes with hand woven brass wire flower buttons and the skirt closes with a zipper. Both the jacket and skirt have vertical quilting seams. The jacket has a brass chain at its inner hem. The top closes at the front with hidden set buttons and is entirely hand made. Each cuff on the top has french set buttons that match the jacket. There is very minor discoloration at the inner seam under one arm of the jacket. The top shows more noticeable damage under each arm and I see some small storage spots here and there as well. The set is priced based on the jacket and skirt only. The top is being included for free so that the set is historically accurate. It could be worn if the jacket was kept on and the fabric is sound and odor free. The entire set was specialty cleaned (as is everything of course). Each piece is numbered under the Couture label in sequence 53422, 53423, 53424

The first ready-to-wear Chanel collection launched in 1978 and I believe this to be from those first few years. It has all of the hallmarks of the Chanel suit - the chain at the inner hem, the vertically stitched inner silk lining used during this time period and fine workmanship. It is made out of that proprietary Chanel boucle that gives the fabric structure and stability along the weft in one direction and yet gives it an almost bias cut effect along the other direction. This also is what contributes to the fit that Chanel suits have and how comfortable they feel once on. The fabric has movement and yet retains its shape at the same time. The skirt is just above the knee with a straight , slim cut. The jacket is a classic cropped Chanel jacket with two pockets at the front. Each is highlighted with a looped fringe finish. The jacket buttons at the front with classic double C logo buttons in gold and black. That same looped ended fringe highlights the neckline. Excellent condition with two very minor motes to review below.
Both pieces are lined in a red tissue silk that is stitched in long vertical panels in the jacket. The lining is entirely set and finished by hand. The skirt closes with a painted metal zipper and a flat hook and eye at the waist. There is an extender at the waist but it does not appear that the skirt was altered other wise in anyway do this may be original. The jacket buttons to close down the front. There is a small spot in the boucle that looks like it had a brooch perhaps and has widened the weft slightly. Please review the photos. The signature gold chain runs along the inner edge of the lining. Hand finished. Tagged a vintage 40

I Have a Question
This beautiful silk top was made by hand at the Chanel atelier. It is a true numbered Haute Couture. This piece comes directly from the daughter of the original Haute Couture client who was buying from Chanel in the early to mid-1970s. It is a remarkable example of her work during this time period.
The top is done in a classic Chanel cut and silhouette. It is entirely done by hand and the silk is light and easy feeling. It is as finely tailored and cut as a jacket would be and every stitch and line is deliberately placed. The top is cut in a long, straight silhouette through the body and the sleeves are slightly voluminous above their French cuffs. The shoulders are soft. The front is kept simple with the buttons hidden under one side of the pleating. It does up under the one side and then closes across the shoulder to the bow. The collar is small and neat with ties that extend out from it that you tie into a bow. The front is knife pleated on either side. The colour is a orally taupe, the photos here are very close but in real life it has more of an impact to it. It is truly a brilliant piece and when you see it in person, the level of craftsmanship and care put into the construction is even more apparent. The inner construction and details are wonderful. Excellent condition
Unlined with all interior seams hand finished. It closes with hand set, hidden buttons at the front. Hand edged silk button backs in place. French cuffs, however they do not have the buttons. The buttons were often ordered separately for these. Entirely hand and finished to Haute Couture standards. I see perhaps the smallest change in colour here and there to the silk but its extremely subtle. The color in person is a touch brighter and lighter then how it photoed.
