1960s Oscar de la Renta Printed Jumpsuit w Slit Legs
I have had the twin of this in the shop before but the first was a little smaller then this one is. It is from earlier in his career and I love the statement making combination of that classic 1960s orange and yellow color palette with the starkness of the black. The top part of the jumpsuit is cut like a little button down shirt with pointed, notched collar and short sleeves. The print is set in the highlight the cut. A row of black, decorative buttons trails down the front and I love how the pattern is used to create the illusion of 'cuffs' on each sleeve. The bottom is a pant that has wide panels of fabric wrapped over each wide cut leg so that depending on how you stand it appears to be a full length skirt. Each outer side of each leg has a sexy slit that is cut to just past the knee for a little flash of skin Excellent condition.
Fully lined in a black silky cotton mix and closes with a hand set, back painted zipper. The buttons at the front are decorative only.
