I Have a Question

1960s Pat Sandler Metallic Gold & Coral Floral Print Full Length Dress

I Have A Question: 1960s Pat Sandler Metallic Gold & Coral Floral Print Full Length Dress

Pat Sandler was an American designer whose label existed through the 1960s and 70s. He launched his label in the early 1960s after a stint with the Leonard Sunshine label. The label was very well followed in its day and was often used for editorial work during the time period, most notably on Lauren Hutton on several occasions. He was known for his more opulent pieces that featured bead work or gold lame thread like this dress does.

The dress is wonderful with its combination of all that gold thread woven through a backdrop of raspberry & coral tones with pops of golden yellows. The gold that covers the fabric is incredible. I often see gold used over silk but this dress has its own distinct floral pattern woven from the gold that really gives it a beautiful added texture and design. The gold covers the dress from top to bottom and makes such an impact that you almost don't realize the added dimension created by a series of flat pleats that make up the bodice and waist. The top it is cut with a high neck and the sleeves are long and pouf out slightly above each cuff. The waist cinches in and is detailed and highlighted by a band of fabric above and below it. The skirt is set into the waist with a series of soft pleats and these open to give the fullness that you see as the skirt sweeps to the ground. It is an absolutely gorgeous piece and even better in person and on a body. Excellent condition.

Fully lined and a black silk and closes with a back painted metal zipper. Each cuff closes with a hidden set fabric covered snap. It looks to have never been worn or worn very little. Note that it was too small around the waist on my mannequin and does of course do up properly at the back when on the right sized girl.

Sleeves: 24"

Shoulders: 14"
Bust: 17" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 12.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips at the interior lining: 18" flat across from side seam to side seam
Bodice: 15" from neck to bottom waist band
Skirt: 41" from bottom waist band to hem

1970s Adele Simpson Off-Shoulder Pouf Sleeve Velvet & Chiffon Dress

I Have A Question: 1970s Adele Simpson Off-Shoulder Pouf Sleeve Velvet & Chiffon Dress

This is a great little Adele Simpson dress that combines silk chiffon with a velvet. It is very well made and the velvet gives it a rich, luxurious feel. The bodice of the dress is a solid black velvet and then the sleeves and skirt are a chiffon that have  both dots and horizontal stripes in velvet running over the surface. The skirt is backed in a black fabric so you get a more layered feel and the fused dots and stripes play off of that layering effect. On the sleeves the fabric is left unlined above the 4" solid velvet cuffs so that the dots and stripes make a stronger statement. The neckline is cut wide across and elastic runs through the tops of each shoulder. This allows you to wear the sleeves off the shoulder, leaving them bare and exposed. You can also wear them higher up if you wish for a more standard neckline. Off shoulder pieces always look better on a real body then the dress form and this dress is no exception. It sits and will look, far better on a real girl. I love the fullness of each sleeve and how they pouf out above each wide cuff. It is quite fabulous and much better in person. Excellent condition

Fully lined in a black silk. It closes with a back metal and nylon zipper. Hand finished throughout. Each 4" wide cuff has a series of velvet covered buttons and velvet loops to close. The top portion of each sleeve has elastic running though it. It appears to have been worn very little, if at all

Sleeves: to 26"
Shoulders: no defined seam
Bust: 17" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 14.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: 19" flat across from side seam to side seam of inner lining
Bodice: approx 12.5" from top of natural shoulder to waist
Skirt: 42" from waist to hem

Modern Sizing Equivalent: SML-MED

I Have a Question

Fall 1968 Oscar de la Renta Metallic Gold Silk Brocade Caftan Dress

I Have A Question: Fall 1968 Oscar de la Renta Metallic Gold Silk Brocade Caftan Dress

I was able to date this lovely Oscar de la Renta dress to the Fall of 1968 based on the evening coat that I found within The Met's permanent collection. Their's has a similar print and fabric as well as the same Boutique label. The Oscar de La Renta boutique label first appeared in 1967 which makes this one from one of the very earliest collection for this line. His Boutique label was the first secondary ready-to-wear line for a Seventh Avenue designer.

The dress has a that wonderful hostess gown combined with a caftan feel that was so prevalent during this time period. I have had one other of these in the shop a few years back and I was very pleased to find another. It is a beautiful dress and very representative of his work during this time period. The fabric is quite exceptional with a wonderful woven effect that forms the chevron pattern that you see. The colors are a mix of a coral toned taupe, an ivory and a gold, and all three have metallic thread running through them. The fabric is just heavy enough to hold that sweeping shape as it nears the hem but still feel very light and wearable when on. Each cuff is ringed with a light colored mink cuff. If you are opposed to wearing fur it would be a simple task to un-tack them from the sleeves and wear it without the cuffs. The sleeves are properly finished underneath the cuffs and removing them would be done regularly anyway whenever it was cleaned. The front buttons are decorative only but the quality of the piece really shines here as each loop does work with the button underneath - just the fabric behind it is seamed and closed. Pockets hidden along each hip are the perfect finish. Excellent condition

Fully lined in a hand set nude silk and closes with a back painted metal zipper. Each cuff is ringed with mink that could easily be removed if you wish to wear it without. The sleeves are properly finished underneath. The cut is generous and will be more of a caftan feel on a smaller frame so will fit a range. Larger sizes should double check the shoulders. There is a good 4" hem turned up if you wanted more length

Sleeves: 23.5"
Shoulders: 15.5"
Bust: to 21" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: to 18" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: to 23" flat across from side seam to side seam
Length: 50" from neck to hem

Modern Sizing Equivalent: MED-XL

I have a small collection of historically important, key designer labelled vintage furs, fur trimmed & feather pieces stored away in my archives that I will be slowly posting on the site over the next couple of years until I have none left. I will no longer be buying furs for the shop moving forward and have not purchased anything for several years now. I feel like times have changed and while there still is a place for vintage furs for some, including collectors and historians, many modern girls are choosing other options. Many of the pieces in my collection are representative of the designer during a set time period in history that was different then our modern outlook. I have decided that the best course to handle this controversial issue is to let the pieces I have go rather then sit in a cold storage unit. All fur coats, fur trimmed & feather pieces are final sale

I Have a Question

Spring 2016 Christopher Kane Runway Blue Fringe on Black Mini Dress

I Have A Question: Spring 2016 Christopher Kane Runway Blue Fringe on Black Mini Dress

The Spring 2016 collection presented by Christopher Kane was a hit with many of the pieces selling out world-wide as soon as they became available. Including this one. Vogue own Sarah Mower's review of the show stated in part: "“Last season, she discovered sex” said Christopher Kane. “Now she’s crazy in love!”...Belaboring explanations is never the way to “understand” Christopher Kane, though. Getting him is always a case of whether you appreciate his electric fusion of weirdness and chic. There were jolts of that sort of current running through the details... Fun, odd and elegant by turns, this was a show which covered a lot of bases. No matter what life has been throwing at him, it proved that Christopher Kane is a solid designer."

This dress was favored by many of the street style set and its a treat to have found one in a more generous cut. The dress is a simple black, sleeveless sheath that has a hidden set zipper up one side so none of the line of the dress is broken. The neckline is plunged with a low cut V at the front and again at the back and the dress flares out a touch as it nears the hem. It is the fringe that takes this dress from a little black dress to a wow. From one shoulder down to the opposite hem on both sides runs a swath of fringe in a bright, bold blue. When you move you realize that there are two other layers of fringe under that. One in green and the other in white. The movement and color that this creates is fabulously bold and fun. The dress looks like it has never been worn, or worn very little. Excellent condition

Fully lined in a black silk and closes with a hidden set zipper up one side. Tagged a modern UK12, US8, EU40 and is cut generously. Note that for those that use me as a reference for size - this one is cut generously. I have it clipped a bit in the back in this shot. It would be an easy later to fit it down a bit if needed.

1970s Albert Capraro Three Piece Graphic Jersey Pant, Top & Jacket Set

I Have A Question: 1970s Albert Capraro Three Piece Graphic Jersey Pant, Top & Jacket Set

This jersey pant suit is quite fun and easy to wear whether all together or as separates. It  is by the Albert Capraro label and is made up of three pieces. There is a pair of wide legged pants, an inner tank style top and the outer open cut jacket. The fabric is a wash and wear jersey that holds the graphic print well and is a dream to travel with. The outer pieces of the set have a graphic print in a deep navy blue and white that covers the entire surface of those two pieces. The inner top is white with a blue and white dotted edging. The pants have an elastic running through the waist for an easy and comfortable fit. The legs are cut wide and full. The inner top is styled like a simple tank and the outer jacket is cut with that perfect seventies line to it. It a pointed collar and button cuffs on the sleeves. You could easily add a belt for additional shape at the waist. Wear them all together for a strong statement or break up the set and wear them as separates with other pieces in your closet for lots of styling options. Excellent condition

All three pieces are unlined. The pants slip on with an elastic waist , the inner top slips over the head with no closures. The outer jacket slips on and also has no closures. Each sleeve has button cuffs.

I Have a Question

Spring 2000 Yves Saint Laurent by Alber Elbaz Black & White Strapless Dress

I Have A Question: Spring 2000 Yves Saint Laurent by Alber Elbaz Black & White Strapless Dress

An oft forgotten period of the YSL history are the three ready-to-wear collections designed by Alber Elbaz, Fall 1999, Spring 2000 and Fall 2000. The fit was not quite right and he was ultimately replaced by Tom Ford. It is an interesting little blip in the labels history and a fascinating example of Alber's work during this time period as well. This dress is from the second collection he did for the label and is one of my favorites out of all of the dresses he designed during his tenure. It was worn to perfection on the runway by Maggie Rizer and photos for the February issue of Vogue that year as well. This is the second time I have had this dress in the shop, the first just a few weeks ago but in a size 40. Was very pleased to have been presented with a second one so soon after the first flew out the door.

The dress is strapless with sleek and simple lines. An inner shaped and sculpted bodice holds and fits it into place and then the exterior fabric flows over that, from the top of the bodice to the floor, in a sweep of fabric. The shape gradually widens out as it nears the hem in a beautiful line. There are two curving inverted pleats on each side of the dress that begin just under the arm and extend right to the hem. These give the dress more movement and volume as you move. You get an idea of just how much fabric is hidden away by the runway photos included here. I love the textured fabric and the little white square 'dots' that cover the dress from bust to hem. It looks to have never been worn. Excellent condition

There is a structured inner bodice that is boned and slightly stiffened. This closes with its own side set zipper and a hooked waist stay. The exterior fabric is unlined and closes at the side with a hidden set zipper. Tagged a YSL vintage 42. The owner told me that this dress as never worn and had been carefully stored in her closet since she purchased it.

I Have a Question

Resort 2013 Missoni Raspberry & White Fully Sequinned Knit Halter Slip Dress

I Have A Question: Resort 2013 Missoni Raspberry & White Fully Sequinned Knit Halter Slip Dress

For the Resort collection of 2013, Angela Missoni said that she 'looked at Chinese porcelain and British pottery, for its delicate brushstroke motifs, picked out in embroidery on knits, and the somewhat less delicate intarsias that looked like smashed fragments pieced back together.' The result of that were beautiful pieces like this dress that re-imagined the classic Missoni look in a new unexpected way.

This was Look 26 in the presentation and sold out worldwide once it landed in the shops. It is a figure skimming halter dress in a fine knit that showcases a variation of the Missoni signature zigzag. Here it is refined and made more delicate. The different way that the design has been manipulated before it is applied to the knit gives it that wonderful design that creates the pattern from shoulder to hem. The entire dress is then covered in clear sequins. The sequins are done in two sizes - a small sequin and a very tiny version. This changing of the sequin sizes creates its own secondary pattern over the knit base and the effect is wonderful. The entire dress shimmers as it catches the light. The knit base is backed in a fine silk chiffon that allows the dress to drape over the body and molds to hugs your curves but in a relaxed and easy way that makes it even sexier. It looks to have never been worn and is cut supermodel long. I love it. Excellent condition

Fully lined in a white silk chiffon and slips on to wear with no closures. Tagged a modern 42. The fabric does have some stretch and the measurements provided are the comfortable range when laying flat. It appears to have never been worn.

Bust: 15-18" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 14-16" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: 18-20" flat across from side seam to side seam
Length: 63" from top of shoulder to hem

I Have a Question

Early 1960s Christian Dior Pink & Coral Textured Weave Boucle Swing Coat

I Have A Question: Early 1960s Christian Dior Pink & Coral Textured Weave Boucle Swing Coat

This coat is extraordinary. It is a beautiful and early example of the work that the Christian Dior label was doing during this time period. The label is the Christian Dior, New York label and pieces form this label where made for the American market based on the runway designs of Paris. Many of the same high standard finishes that the true Haute Couture pieces were incorporated.

The coat is cut with the volume and curves that defined the era and showcases the influence that the house of Dior had in establishing the direction fashion was taking in this time period. A neat small collar curves around the neckline. This sits above the large carved wood buttons that run down the front. The lines of the coat are simple and beautiful with a sweeping fullness that is quite wonderful. The design has curving shoulders from which the arms extend. I love that the seams to set the arms into the coat extend out from the neck and directly into the sleeves so that there is no traditional arm seam to break the line. Through the body and extending out tot he hem the cut is fantastically full and voluminous. An angles pocket sits on each hip at the front and the sleeves have a half strap detail with a smaller carved wood button on each cuff. The fabric is amazing and feels like a thick yarn that has been woven into a cross hatch boucle. The thick strands combine a gorgeous combination of pinks, corals, blues, purples and pops of other colors that become apparent the closer you look. The result is bright and happy in feel. The inside is lined in a pretty blue silk so you get a wonderful pop of contrast when you leave it open. Excellent condition

Lined in hand set black, textured blue silk. It buttons to close at the front and has pockets on each hip. The buttons have proper finished buttonholes. Hand finishes. The cut is meant to sit oversized on the body and so will fit a variety of sizes. Note that the inside lining is a slightly deeper color then how it photoed and that there is a slight grubbiness to the inside lining near the neckline as shown in the photo after the label shot.

Sleeves: approx 20"
Shoulders: approx 15" but no true seams so you can go up or down a bit
Bust: to 20" flat across from side seam to side seam inside
Waist-hips: open
Length: 39" from top of bodice to waist

1960s Mollie Parnis Red & Black Floral Print Silk w Gold Metallic Dress

I Have A Question: 1960s Mollie Parnis Red & Black Floral Print Silk w Gold Metallic Dress

I absolutely love the dramatic mix of color with the metallic thread. The combination of that bold red mixed with the floral pattern that covers and the shots of gold thread make it quite a stunning piece. It is constructed from a beautiful crepe silk chiffon that gives it a very light feel once on the body.  The red silk bodice skims the torso with a high neckline. The sleeves are left unlined with a red silk at the top and then a billowing pouf of the black silk that is caught up at the wrist with an elastic. The skirt flows from the waist to the floor and the top layer of chiffon floats over the inner layer tissue silk lining - giving it a wonderful light and romantic feel. The skirt is the same black silk as the bottom of the sleeves and I love the contrast this creates. The entire dress is covered with a floral print and the fabric has a gold metallic thread worked through it from top to bottom. Excellent condition.

Fully lined in red through the bodice and black through the skirt with the sleeves unlined. It closes with a back painted metal zipper and hook & eye at the back of the collar. Each cuff has elastic through the cuff

Sleeves: 19"
Shoulders: 15"
Bust: 17.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 13.5" flat across from side seam to side seam

I Have a Question

1960s Christian Dior By Marc Bohan Red & Gold Lamé Metallic Dress

I Have A Question: 1960s Christian Dior By Marc Bohan Red & Gold Lamé Metallic Dress

This exceptional dress is by Marc Bohan for Christian Dior and it is a wonderful example of his work during this time period. It is not perfect but I believe its flaws could be reinforced. Please make sure to read the entire description and review the provided photos before purchasing. Its an exceptional piece and offered at a dramatically discounted price as a result of its small flaws.

It was in the late 1960s that Bohan was doing these wonderful metallic detailed dresses for Dior and the results were stupendous. The red silk chiffon base is as light as a feather and there are literally yards and yards of fabric used to make this dress. Woven through the silk is a winding flower and vine design that is entirely made form a gold lurex thread which gives the dress its metallic finish. The gold is used from neck to hem and catches the light as you move. The neckline is high and the bodice is set above a empire waist that is detailed with a wide red silk ribbon that is attached and hooks to close at the back. This is balanced by long sleeves that has a bit of volume to it above the cuffs. The skirt is fabulous and has a tremendous amount of fabric it, falling to the floor from under the red ribbon. It also has a extremely large shawl scarf piece that is made form the same fabric and I think you could easily use some of the fabric from that to reinforce the flaws. The flaws are as follows. There is stress and small tears to the fabric at the seams under each arm and near the seams. I see some very small starts of this near the seam of the top of the shoulder. There are a couple of large areas on the fabric of the skirt that also show small tears and weakening. Please review all photos provided that are shown after the label shot and read any extra details concerning condition below. Otherwise it is in great condition and presents very well

The skirt is fully lined in a red silk with the sleeves left unlined. It closes with a back painted metal & nylon zipper and hook & eye just above the zipper of the low back. The ribbon belt hooks to close. Each sleeve buttons to close and one button is missing. Hand finishes. Please read above concerning weak areas of the fabric. There may be additional teeny tiny areas I missed. The scarf could be used to reinforce the weak areas or even to recreate and replace them as it is huge. This would easily be priced for $3500 if perfect so is a tremendous bargain for the person willing to put in a little work on it. It is sold as a final sale

Early 2000s Diane von Furstenburg Purple Print Silk Jersey Wrap Dress

I Have A Question: Early 2000s Diane von Furstenburg Purple Print Silk Jersey Wrap Dress

The DVF wrap dress came into being in 1973 and has been a staple since. Examples are held at The Met and their note on it states: "Diane von Furstenberg introduced her signature wrap dress in 1973. The simple style was affordable and adaptable, combining the versatility of sportswear with the chic of a flattering dress. Easy to wear, the design became a fashion phenomenon and a large selection of graphic prints kept the style fresh and in demand. Von Furstenberg wrote: “I was sure there was a need for simple little sexy dresses that made women feel like women.” This more recent Diane Von Furstenberg dress is wonderful. It is made from a printed silk jersey in muted soft purple tones done in a chevron print set in rows over the surface of the dress. The skinny fit top wraps to close in her signature style with a plunging neck with a high set collar. This is balanced by long, skinny sleeves. The skirt is cut sleek and hugs your curves. Wearing a Diane Von Furstenberg design is appropriate for almost any event or occasion that may arise. Which is probably exactly why they are one of the must haves in any girl's closet. Excellent condition

Unlined with two long attached ties that wrap to close. The silk jersey fabric has some stretch so is incredibly comfortable to wear. Looks to have been worn very little if at all. The fabric has some stretch and it wraps so you can easily add 1-2" to any of the listed measurements up or down. Tagged a modern 6

Resort 2010 Stefano Pilati for Yves Saint Laurent Purple Cotton Trench Coat

I Have A Question: Resort 2010 Stefano Pilati for Yves Saint Laurent Purple Cotton Trench Coat

In the review for the Resort 2010 collection, Vogue mentions the trench in particular saying n part, 'Everything—even the tailoring, which has been such a Pilati strong suit these last several seasons—had a certain fluidity. A deconstructed, unlined jacket topped a bustier dress, while the classic YSL trench was reworked with a shawl collar and trumpet cuffs.' It was shown in more of a burnt orange color for the presentation, but was also produced in the purple cotton that other pieces from the show were shown in. In person, the color is a touch more vibrant then how it photoed and it is a wonderful way to add an instant  pop of color. The sleeves are cut wide and cropped and the cut through the body is done with volume. You can then cinch in the waist with the slide buckle belt. the cotton and color give it a more casual feel but all the traditional elements of a classic trench are still there. Excellent condition

Unlined and closes with the buttons at the front and tie buckle belt around the waist. There is the tiniest bit of grubbiness to the inside collar. Tagged a FR38 but cut generously so will fit a range of sizes.

Fall 1973 Geoffrey Beene Graphic Burgundy and Taupey Cream Jersey Dress

I Have A Question: Fall 1973 Geoffrey Beene Graphic Burgundy and Taupey Cream Jersey Dress

I love the stark lines of this Geoffrey Beene dress and the contrast between the deep burgundy panels and the deeper cream parts of the dress. The two colors are set so that they become an integral part of the design and add both interest and length as the eye is pulled from the neck to the floor. The neck is high in a modified turtleneck that has a more sleek then slouched feel. The sleeves are long and lean and the bodice skims over the bust into the seamed waist where it softly, and just slightly, poufs over the seam there. The skirt flares out in a widening line from the waist to fall to the floor. The back is all the one burgundy color but the front has inset jersey panels done in a soft taupe cream color. These swoop down in a V on the top and are set as an inset panel of fabric in the skirt. This helps to add to the volume of the skirt and creates an interesting visual effect. The way it closes is fascinating with three different zippers layered and placed so that no bulk is created but that each element of the dress stays perfectly in place. Excellent condition

The top is lined with a inner taupe layer of the jersey and the skirt is unlined. It closes with three zippers, one that closes the inner jersey lining, a second long on that runs from the outside neck down inside the skirt and the last on the outer skirt. A zipper is also set at the end of each sleeve. The fabric has some stretch but the waist measurement is set and will not stretch further

Fall 2006 Bill Blass Strapless Strapless Black Applique Floral & Net Dress

I Have A Question: Fall 2006 Bill Blass Strapless Strapless Black Applique Floral & Net Dress

Look 44 on the Fall 2006 Runway was worn by Natasha Poly and I have included that reference photo here so you can see how the dress will look on the body. Michael Vollbracht  was the designer of this collection and he told Vogue that he was looking to 'channel' the spirit of the label's namesake. Mr. Vollbracht only designed for the label from 2003 - 2007. I think this was one of the prettier pieces he designed while there and does indeed have that Blass feel to it. The dress is strapless with a more fitted inner dress that hugs the bodice and skims over the hips before gradually flaring out as it nears the hem. The hem of this inner dress is finished with a wide pleated detailing that gives a little extra texture though the top layer and also helps to add weight to hold the shape. Over this is a synthetic net layer that has a huge floral design covering its surface from bodice to hem. The flowers are made up of a black cord and a matte satin and this combination gives them a pretty 3D raised effect off of the netting. The back of this top layer is cut longer to form a small train and the netting also helps to give it a more ball gown feel with the extra volume created. There are little loops and buttons on the back so you can lift the skirts off the floor if you wish. It appears to have never been worn. Excellent condition

Fully lined and closes at the back with a zipper. The net layer closes over the zipper with a series of hidden snaps. The inner bodice is lightly boned and there is an inner waist stay that hooks to close. Fully lined in a silk. The exterior fabrics seem to be a combination of silk and synthetics. There are little loops and buttons on the back so you can lift the skirts off the floor if you wish. Tagged a modern 4

Spring 1983 Yves Saint Laurent Silk Multi Color Print on Blue Dress

I Have A Question: Spring 1983 Yves Saint Laurent Silk Multi Color Print on Blue Dress

This print was shown on the 1983 runway in a variety of color combinations. Here we have a little day dress cleverly fashioned to fut loose and easy over the body and yet still have a touch of shape.  The colors are amazing and absolutely pop off of the silk. Yves Saint Laurent was a master at choosing the fabrics that were the perfect compliment to the prints that he used. This dress is no exception to that rule with its riot of multi-colored, bright abstract design that covers its surface. The cut is pure Yves and a wonderful example of the work her was doing during this time period. The sleeves end just below the elbow and are cut with a full pouf above that. The bodice is set to sit loose and easy over the body with a high neckline that has a tie at the neck to tie onto a bow or loop and let the tie ends hang down. It has a slight dropped waist silhouette that gives it a bot of a twenties feel. The waist is cut full and loose with a dropped band of fabric to detail it. The band is finished at the front to extend into long fabric ties that you can wrap and/or tie for more shape. Below that the skirt flares out with a pretty swing feel. You can wear it loose and easy or cinch in the waist more with the ties. Adjusting the ties at the waist will also let you to change the length of the skirt depending on how tight and high you tie it. Excellent condition

Unlined and closes down the front with buttons. It is tagged a vintage YSL 34 but the loose and easy but will allow it to work on a variety of sizes. It appears to have been worn very little, if at all.

Resort 1980 Halston Abstract Print Blue Silk Wrap Day Dress

I Have A Question: Resort 1980 Halston Abstract Print Blue Silk Wrap Day Dress

The Resort and Spring 1980 collections were some of the few that Halston worked some prints into the collections. He normally focused on a solid color palette and I love seeing this side of his work. I found a runway reference photograph and you can see the similar print done on a long silk tank dress. This shorter, day version still employs the minimal seaming that Halston excelled at but is finished in his iconic wrap cut. The photo is from a Halston book and in it there is a quote by Bob Colacello that says; "His colors were so American, they were like out of a Crayola crayon box. Halston's red and purple and green were like true colors; they weren't pastels, they weren't dark, they weren't iridescent - they were very true and very American" and this really sums up the true, beautiful blue that the silk is done in. The waist has a long attached tie belt that you wrap and cinch it in for as much shape as you wish. The silk is scarf weight so drapes beautifully over the curves of the body. I love the pops of color brought in by the abstract print that covers the dress. Excellent condition

Unlined and wraps to close. Hook & eye along the plunge that if left open will give you a deeper plunge then shown. Hand finished. he blue is a touch deeper in tone then how it photoed. It appears to have been worn very little if at all.

I Have a Question

Documented 1978 Halston One Shoulder Red Draped Jersey Halston Dress

I Have A Question: Documented 1978 Halston One Shoulder Red Draped Jersey Halston Dress

I am always on the look out for this style of dress by Halston. It is perhaps the most iconic of all of the Halston silhouettes and in 2016 the twin of this exact dress entered modern day fashion history when Kate Moss wore it on the red carpet at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. These were issued in a variety of colors including this wonderful red version.

Halston was a master at this cut. There is a certain sexiness caused by the illusion of having the entire dress suspended by one hook at the shoulder. It gives the sense that undoing that hook would cause the entire dress to drop in a puddle around you (which it would). It is constructed from two attached layers. The inner dress is cut from the same synthetic jersey as the outer layer is and it skims over the body in a long sheath. This inner part of the dress has a high slit cut into the side that travels up the side of the leg opposite to the draped side exposing a long expanse of bare skin when you walk or move. Over, and attached to the inner sheath is a second draped panel of jersey that is suspended from the shoulder. It falls from that shoulder down and over the front and the back of the dress. The dress hooks into place at the top of the shoulder and the jersey cascades loosely down and over the inner layer for the ultimate Grecian goddess feel. This is a classic dress by Halston that is easy to  care for. It is wash and wear and virtually wrinkle free which makes it perfect for traveling. It is very easy to style too - a quick change of shoe takes it day to night in a snap. Excellent condition.

Slips on to wear and has a hook at the top of the shoulder. These will fit a variety of sizes since they are not cut to be super fitted and the jersey does have some stretch.

Documented 1973 Mollie Parnis One Shoulder Dipped Back Coral Jersey Dress

I Have A Question: Documented 1973 Mollie Parnis One Shoulder Dipped Back Coral Jersey Dress

This exceptional Mollie Parnis dress was showcased on Beverly Johnson for Vogue in 1973 and I am very pleased to have it in the shop. It is cut to follow and skim over the body with a beautiful one shoulder silhouette. I especially love the strong coral red color of it. It is the kind of color that flatters almost any skin tone and helps the dress make a strong statement despite the simple lines of it. The dress cascades from that single shoulder in a swooping column of fabric. One side of the dress is cut wide to slight sit over the cap of your own shoulder while the other side is left bare. It zips up at the side of the inner part of the dress and then over that is a layer of jersey that is caught up under the arm and ties. It is set slightly towards the back and falls in soft drapes down the side of the dress. I love how this creates a low dip off of he side of the back just like how you see it sit in the reference photo. It is truly a gorgeous piece. Excellent condition.

All the layers are made of the same jersey. The inner dress is made of a double layer and then the outer exterior layer drapes over that. The inner dress closes with a painted metal zipper and the outer layer closes with hook & eye and ties at the side. I see a couple of teeny pinholes here and there over the surface but nothing detracts and the fabric is strong and stable. Hand rolled edges. The fabric does have some stretch

Bust: 15-18" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 13-14.5" flat across from side seam to side seam

1980s Donnybrook Graphic Black & White Face Print Faux Fur Coat

I Have A Question: 1980s Donnybrook Graphic Black & White Face Print Faux Fur Coat

In 2015 Rihanna wore one of these jackets and caused a sensation for them. Every time  a photo pops up of her again wearing it, people hunt them down again The label was never a very rare one or even very hard to find, and really this one design from the label is the only one that has stood the test of time. Proof of the Rihanna/celebrity effect in full swing. The Donnybrook line was a New York label and one of several mid-priced lines that the family owned Levy Group manufactured in the 1980s. The coat features the now famous, graphic face print that covers it completely. The black and white creates a startling contrast and the faux fur is not meant to be or look realistically like a fur. It is clearly more of a fun, faux fur, that is soft, warm and well, fun.The cut is meant to be over-sized and loose on the body with a low button closure at the from, easy shawl collar and wide sleeves. You can wear the sleeves long or turn up the ends to create cuffs. Pockets along each side. Excellent condition with one minor note below

Fully lined in a black rayon silk satin. Closes with the low buttons at the front and has pockets on each side. Tagged a small but the generous cut will fit a range of sizes easily. There is a touch of greying to the white here and there on the bacl - it is from minor color transfer

Sleeves: approx 26-27" from the actual true shoulder and you can flip the ends up
Shoulders: no true seam, very loose and easy
Bust-hem: approx 23" flat across from side seam to side seam
Length: 37" from neck to longest point at the back hem

Fall 2005 Miu Miu Purple Printed Off Shoulder Semi-Sheer Dress

I Have A Question: Fall 2005 Miu Miu Purple Printed Off Shoulder Semi-Sheer Dress

This Miu Miu dress is very pretty and very easy to wear.  The Fall runway in 2005 showed several variations of this print and I think this production dress is the best of them all. The dress just pops on and the cut is loose and easy and can easily be styled to wear for day or evening. The print the covers the surface of the dress is an elaborate and intricate design that combines swirls of color on a purple base. The fabric is a semi-sheer cotton voile. It is this fabric choice that makes it so light and airy in feel once on. The cut is generous and loose through the body and this gives it a bit of a baby doll feel but with a touch more definition through the waist then a true baby doll silhouette would have. The sleeves are long and have a touch of fullness to them. The skirt is cut to fall just above the knee. I love the neckline - it has a tie that runs though the edge and this allows you to loosen it so that it falls off the shoulder. You could also tie it tighter to bring the shoulders in more for a totally different feel. Excellent condition.

Unlined and closes with a hidden set side zipper. The front tie runs through the top of the neckline so you can widen it or tie it in tight. Tagged a modern Miu Miu 46. The loose cut will allow it to fit a variety of sizes. Appears to have been worn very little if at all

Fall 1992 Christian Lacroix Elaborate Gold & Silk Corset Top & Skirt

I Have A Question: Fall 1992 Christian Lacroix Elaborate Gold & Silk Corset Top & Skirt

This Christian Lacroix set perfectly showcases his mastery in combining fabric and textures. Every element used has a depth and texture to it separate from the others and yet it all works perfectly together. The best example we could find form the runway displays the same colorway and silks used on this set from the Fall 1992 runway giving us the collection date for this piece.

Everything starts with the fabric choices for Lacroix and what fabric choices he made! The corset and the long skirt are both made of a rich copper gold metallic fabric that has black silk medallions scattered over its surface. Each of these medallions is held in place by over stitching in what looks to be a velvet chenille type thread. This gives it a antiqued feel as well as dimension and texture. Mixed in with that and used as a way to highlight the curves other piece are silk chiffon panels. The colors flow into each other in a beautiful mix. The corset bodice is made of two layers with the inner layer being the more fitted and boned inner structure. Iver this is a second bodice that curves and flares as you see. The skirt flows to the ground, hugging the hips and then flaring outwards  as it nears the hem. The front is scooped and gathered and is longer at the back. Excellent condition.

Both pieces and each layer of the corset are fully lined black with a gold silk satin lining. The bodice is boned and structured. The top closes with a side set zipper on the interior part of it and hook and eye on the outer layer. The skirt closes with back zipper. Both pieces are tagged a 42

Fall 1990 Oscar de la Renta Printed Metallic Silk Dress w Brass Bell Edging

I Have A Question: Fall 1990 Oscar de la Renta Printed Metallic Silk Dress w Brass Bell Edging

This dress is exceptional and unique in that is comes with all of its original tags. It is from the Fall 1990 show and I dated it from the dress shot I have included from that show where you can see the same brass bell trimming along its edges, just like this one has. If you recognize it from the shop from before you are right and it is the same dress. My client Katherine, pictured here, wore it to a prominent event and has asked me to handle the sale of it for her now. It is in the same perfect condition it was when I had it originally.

The dress has an exotic feel to it created by the combination of the pattern in the silk and the brass bells that edge the dress. The entire dress has a golden, metallic sheen to from the fine gold lurex that runs through the silk. The edges of the dress are finished with a braided gold metal cord. This cording runs around each cuff and down the edge of the skirt and circles the hem. The braiding also goes around the neckline and down the off-set side of the bodice. Where it goes down that one side, there are three high domed filigree buttons that are each finished with a crystal. Hundreds of little brass bells were then hand placed along the loops of the braided edging. These are real bells so every time you move there is a wonderful little sound that all those bells makes. It is very subtle and not overwhelming in anyway, more of a faint rustling sound rather then a true bell ringing kind of sound. It is quite amazing. The skirt has the illusion of being wrapped over itself, but it is attached along the waist. This bit of a overlap creates a slit so you see some leg when you sit or walk. The silk is surprisingly lightweight and fluid. Very exotic in feel and very well made. Excellent condition.

The bodice and sleeves are fully lined in a blue silk satin of high quality and the skirt is unlined. It closes with a back, hidden set metal and nylon zipper. Zips at each cuff. Light padding in each shoulder. Tagged a size 10. The matching, fabric covered belt closes with hook and grommets. All original hang tags are present

F/W 2016 Jaline "Martina" Custom Striped Silk Black and White Caftan

I Have A Question: F/W 2016 Jaline "Martina" Custom Striped Silk Black and White Caftan

This caftan is from the Fall 2016 collection of the young upcoming label Jaline. It was presented in the collection as a shorter version but was custom ordered with an additional panel of fabric all the way around the bottom. The stripes within this addition perfectly align with the stripes on the fabric of the original design. This addition makes the caftan a more true maxi, full length and also make it feel more like a true caftan dress. As far as I am aware this was the only one ever made in this manner. The fabric is a beautifully weighted silk that is easy to wear and very flattering. There is a seam that runs down each side under the arm opening. This leaves the outer parts of each side open from the outer edge to that inner seaming. This gives the caftan more movement and flow and a very pretty effect once on. The inner seamed part is still quite generous and it will fit a variety of sizes still. Excellent condition.

Unlined and slips over the head to wear. 100% silk and was never worn. The cut will allow it to fit a range of sizes.

1980s Bernard Perris Black and White Kimono Plunging Caftan Dress

I Have A Question: 1980s Bernard Perris Black and White Kimono Plunging Caftan Dress

Bernard Perris did ready-to-wear at but his pieces always had the feel of couture to them. His work often verged on the theatrical and he himself defined his work as being 'more a nouvelle couture than a deluxe RTW. I found a quote that said he was often 'accused of cramming enough ideas for a dozen dresses into one garment, loading his designs with high voltage, eye-popping detail'. The eighties were a high point and the couture crowd would often order several of his dress while in Paris for their couture fittings. His label shuttered in the early 1990s, after which he was appointed as the couture and haute couture designer for the Paris house of Jean-Louis Scherrer from 1994-1998.

This dress is a a show stopper and yet for Bernard, rather restrained. The fabric is a beautiful black silk crepe that has a chevron design in white. Each row of white is actually made up of printed white dots that form that wonderfully design over the fabric. This graphic feel make the already dramatic dress even more striking. The front has a sharp collar and a plunging neckline that goes straight down to the waist. Notches on either side of the waist allow the wide belt to pass though and give the feel of a cinched in waist at the front. Under that belt the dress is gathered in an intricate gathering so that you don't have fabric ruched up and bulky. The sides and back of the dress are left completely full and voluminous. It sweeps out and the skirt has an incredible amount of fabric in it. You could play with how you belt it to create different feels and where the volume is. Changing the belt to a different color would give it an entirely different feel. Each sleeve is cuffed and set from the waist out so you get volume above the waist as well. Its also cut very, very long. This is a dress that really comes to life on a body. The photos on the mannequin do not do it justice at all and in person it is wonderful. Overall excellent with some small notes to review below.

Unlined and slips on. Pockets hidden along the front of the skirt. The belt slips through open slits at each side of the waist. The belt itself hooks to close and has elastic near the closures so is very comfortable to wear. The hooks have been moved and you can see where the old hooks were placed. You don't see this when the dress is one and it would be the underside of the belt anyway. Each cuff buttons to close. Note that one button on one cuff is missing. There are also a couple of areas of  discoloration - one on the back of the right sleeve and the other is faint and just under the gathers on the waist. Both are photoed and are shown after the label photo. I see a smudge near the hem as well (not photoed as it is very faint) and a repair to the seam near the belt opening. With the incredible yardage of fabric in this one you can easily wear this and never notice  any of these. The easy fit will allow this to fit a range of sizes and it is meant more for a larger frame

Sleeves: approx 26" but there are no defined shoulder seams
Shoulders: no defined shoulder seams
Bust: open with no true side seams
Waist- hips: open
Length: 63" from neck to hem
Belt: 29" -33" and does have stretch and room for more hooks

Recent Roberto Cavalli Printed Bias Cut Silk One Shoulder Dress

I Have A Question: Recent Roberto Cavalli Printed Bias Cut Silk One Shoulder Dress

This Roberto Cavalli dress is from a more recent collection and is very pretty. It is an easy to wear piece and very flattering once on the body. The bias cut silk and pretty pink and pastel design pack a lot of punch into the design. The lines are simple and it has that perfect caftan feel through the long and loose body of the dress. One arm is left completely bare and the other has a cape-like sleeve that is cut on an angle so that it floats down and over your arm. I love how the dress is gathered up at the back to one side, this allows for a flash of leg to show on the one side of the skirt that curves up as a result, and also gives the dress some shape. It hooks to close and where it closes, it follows an angled curved seam that runs up the back. This also dips down into an offset V at the back that then dips quite low down one side. This is hidden under the sleeve but you get a flash of skin when you move. It is a very chic and easy to wear piece. Excellent condition.

Fully lined in a off-white silk chiffon and closes with hook and eye along a seam. Tagged a 42. Appears to have been worn very little if at all. Note that the color is more a true soft pink in feel in person.

Bust: 17-19" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 14-15.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: to 21" flat across from side seam to side seam
Length: approx 61" from top of shoulder to hem and the ine side curves up to 22" high from longest point of bottom hem

1970s Jack Bryan Layered Coral Jersey Full Length Maxi Dress

I Have A Question: 1970s Jack Bryan Layered Coral Jersey Full Length Maxi Dress

These 70s jersey dresses are always a favorite and when I find a great one like this one is, I snatch it up for the shop. The dress is made from a well done synthetic jersey and this fabric choice gives it really great movement and drape. This fabric also held color very well and the gorgeous coral this dress is finished in shows that off to full advantage. The inner dress is a simple sheath that gradually widens out as it nears the hem. Anther layer sits over that and then a single panel is attached at one side of the from tot form the three layers you see on the curved side. That one side curves up and around from the hem and forms a pretty line that goes right to the neckline. This also hides an open slit that shows a flash of leg when you sit or walk and gives the dress a touch of shape as it flares out at the hem. The dress is suspended from the shoulders  from two skinny little straps made from the same fabric. On one side of the neckline sits a pretty fabric flower in the exact same shade. The flower adds to the illusion that the dress is wrapped around you and that it is the flower that is holding the dress in place. It's a great and easy dress to wear that can easily go from the beach to day wear to night with a change of styling. Excellent condition

The innermost layer is unlined and the dress closes with a side metal and nylon zipper. The fabric does have some stretch and the loose and easy cut will allow it to fit a variety of sizes. The color is just a touch more saturated in person.

Bust: 17-19" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 17-19" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: 21- 23" flat across from side seam to side seam

I Have a Question

1970s Frank Usher Gathered Halter Backless Coral Jersey Dress

I Have A Question: 1970s Frank Usher Gathered Halter Backless Coral Jersey Dress

I have had this Frank Usher tucked away for a long time because it is so amazing that it was hard to let go. It is really amazing. It drapes to the floor in a slinky column of jersey that is gathered all along the center front. This gathering detail makes it very forgiving on the body and very flattering. The fabric is a jersey that is almost like a bathing suit jersey and it is a choice that allows it to drape and move wonderfully. It's a definite statement maker with that brilliant orange-coral color and has a Grecian goddess feel to it. It is cut on the bias so falls and drapes to follow every curve. The skirt is long and lean and glides to the floor. Above that, the top is cut to angle towards the center with ties extending out that cross over each other and then wrap around the neck. You can also wear it with more of a V at the neck. Those ties are miles long and fall almost to the hem at the back which gives the back its own drama. Add to that a low scooped back that leave your back bare and it is a knock-out. The fabric is wash and wear and will pack & travels exceptionally well. I love it. Excellent condition

Made from a double layer of the jersey. It slips on to wear with a low back zipper and an enclosed elastic that wraps around the waist and then hooks. The halter ties at the back of the neck. Tagged a vintage UK38/US12. The fabric has stretch so it will fit a range of sizes. I have given the comfortable range of stretch when measured flat below.

Bust: variable since it has no true side seams and has stretch
Waist: 13.5-15.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Inner layer hips: 18-23" flat across from side seam to side seam
Length: somewhat adjustable but approx 56-58" from neck to hem it will vary a little depending on how you tie it at the neck

Incredible 1970s Arissa of France Ivory String 'Faux Fur' Alternative Coat

I Have A Question: Incredible 1970s Arissa of France Ivory String 'Faux Fur' Alternative Coat

This is a wonderful 3/4 length string coat from the 1970s by the Arissa of France label. It is made entirely from curved set rows of soft and fluffy down cotton string. Many designers have emulated these coats but there is nothing like the original. You will see these pop up fairly often in the cropped length but the linger ones like this one are harder to find. I have one of these myself and will never give it up but was lucky enough to find a second for some lucky girl out there to own as well. The color of the cotton string is a pale ivory that is consistent from top to bottom. Any variations of color in the photos is the lighting only. The coat is as new looking in person and I doubt it was worn much, if at all. The cut is loose and easy and it is open down the front with large sized, hidden snaps to close it and slouchy , slant pockets on either hip. The inside is unlined and you can clearly see the way the string has been set onto the base and finished. It is meant to be big and slouchy once on so the size is almost irrelevant as they will fit pretty much any size. These can be styled for high, sexy glamour or keep it soft and romantic. These coats can top absolutely anything from jeans to an evening dress, making them an extremely versatile piece to have in your wardrobe. It is a timeless piece of instant glamour and a fabulous alternative to any type of fur, whether it be faux or real. Excellent condition.

Unlined and closed with hidden set, large snaps along the front. The color is consistent and the strings are strong and stable. These were cut to be worn over-sized and slouchy and it will fit a variety of sizes.

Recent Alexander McQueen Butterfly Print Back Draped Jersey Dress

I Have A Question: Recent Alexander McQueen Butterfly Print Back Draped Jersey Dress

This is a classic print by Alexander McQueen and I love it. The dress is stunning and showcases his masterful draping techniques. It is constructed of two layers of bias cut stretch jersey, the top printed layer and an inner nude lingerie weight layer. They are set perfectly over top the other so that once it is on it feels like a perfectly fitted glove, yet is not constrictive at all. It simply drapes into place and moves to fit and mold over your curves. The print is a beautiful, soft screened butterfly design that covers the dress from shoulder to hem. The colors are vivid and bright. The top is cut to blouse over the waist at the front and at the back it scoops down in a drape of fabric to reveal the upper back. The stretch jersey allows you to play with the length of the skirt - at its full length it will fall to the the knee or just past, and if you prefer it shorter you can wear it higher. Excellent condition

Fully lined in a nude lingerie weight stretch jersey and slips on to wear with elastic through the waist. The fabric has stretch and the measurements given are the the comfortable range of stretch lying flat but it is very accommodating because of the fabric. Tagged a 40

I Have A Question: Recent We Are Leone "Amalfi Lemon" Wrap Dress Kimono Cover Up

This is currently for sale on the We Are Leone website for $495. My client sent me this with a ton of other pieces and it still has all its original tags attached and was never worn. So its a steal . On the brands website it is described as "This hand crafted black cotton maxi with dramatic sleeves and embroidered lemons will elevate any outfit and be turning heads when you walk by! Wear this in the city with skinny jeans and a t-shirt, evening with a LBD or bring on holiday with you and wear over a bikini." and I can't think of a better way to phrase it. The dress is that perfect combination of drama and impact but is completely wearable. It slips on with a single hook at the front waist and is otherwise is completely open down the front  so you can wear it as a layering piece. It comes with a long matching belt that you can use to wrap the dress and secure it at the waist to wear it as more a proper dress. Either way its fabulous and fun. I love the huge sleeves and the embroidered, bright lemons that run over it. Excellent condition

Unlined and open at the front with a single hook & eye at the waist. Use the matching belt to wrap and cinch the waist. Tagged a size S/M and will fit a variety of sizes due to the wrap cut. New with original hang tags

I Have a Question

Extraordinary 1960s Emilio Pucci Silk Jersey Intricate Swirl Print Dress

I Have A Question: Extraordinary 1960s Emilio Pucci Silk Jersey Intricate Swirl Print Dress

This is one of my favorites of all the Pucci prints. It is one you do not see as often but I love the intricacy of it. It is extra pretty when applied to the silk jersey that the dress is made of as the fabric take the color so very well and the drape of the fabric softens the feel of the dress even more. The cut of this dress is very feminine. The collar is gently scooped and cut wide across the neck and across the shoulders so you get a touch more skin showing then with a more typical collar. It skims over the bust and is taken in just under that with a wide band of fabric. From there the skirt falls to the floor, gently widening out as it nears the hem. Each sleeve is cut to be full and to balloon out over its cuff. The curves and swirls of the main print are contrasted by the secondary print that borders the collar, and cuffs. It is also used to define the empire waist and to finish the hem. At the back that same contrasting print is set in a wide panel that runs up the length of the dress. It is simple in cut and fabrication, but striking because if the print and with a dash of sensuality because of the bareness of the wide collar. I love it. Excellent condition

Unlined through the skirt and lined with a white stretch jersey through the bodice. The dress closes at the back with a hidden set, painted metal zipper. The ties at the neck can be worn as you wish. Each cuff closes with hidden set fabric covered snaps. Tagged a vintage Pucci 10. The fabric does have stretch but the empire waist measurement below is defined and the measurement below to the max it will give to. Hand finished

Sleeves: 25"
Shoulders: approx 16" but sits slightly off shoulder. The actual opening is 14" across
Bust: 16-18" flat across from side seam to side seam

1960s Fred Perlberg Long Ivory Fully Sequinned Plunge Dress

I Have A Question: 1960s Fred Perlberg Long Ivory Fully Sequinned Plunge Dress

Fred Perlberg is an interesting designer. He started his label in 1920 at the grand old age of 19 and continued as the designer until 1968 when he retired. This would be from just before that. It is a great representation of what the label did so well - make mid-priced party and dance dresses that followed the current trends. They were well made in small production runs and hold up well to the passing of time. This one is a simple silk sheath with the waist nipped in and a long lean skirt. It is completely covered with rows of ivory sequins that are set on long squiggling lines vertically up the dress. The bodice is cut with a plunge front and a slit runs up one side of the skirt. I love how the edges around the neckline and waist have a tighter panel of sequins going in the opposite direction. It is a nice touch to highlight and add some texture and interest to the piece. The sequins have a pearlized iridescent quality to them so that the dress has a nice glow without being overwhelming. Excellent condition.

Fully lined in an ivory organza and closes with a back painted metal and nylon zipper. Hand finishes

1960s Emilio Pucci Cashmere & Silk Purple & Green Classic Print Dress

I Have A Question: 1960s Emilio Pucci Cashmere & Silk Purple & Green Classic Print Dress

This beautiful Emilio Pucci dress is made out of a luxurious mix of cashmere, silk and wool. This mix makes for an incredibly fine, soft fabrication that holds the color exceptionally well and feels wonderful on the body. Covering every square inch of the dress is a stunning print that is a mix of blue, purple, green and black, all mixed masterfully together. The neckline is high with a contrasting print circling the collar.  This border also circles the waist for added detail and each sleeve is finished with the contrasting print at the cuff. The cut is a simple and classic with a slight A-line cut as the skirt nears its hem and an inverted pleat that runs down the center of the skirt. This gives it a touch of volume when you move. The sleeves are long and simple with a slight pouf to them. This is a classic Pucci silhouette that is instantly recognizable and very sexy despite it not being super form fitting. And you just cannot beat that beautiful fabric. Excellent condition.

Unlined and closes with a painted metal zipper at the back. Tagged a vintage Pucci 10 but of course, check the actual measurements. The fabric does have slight stretch. The fabric is signed throughout and is a nix of 75% cashmere, 15% wool & 10% silk

I Have a Question

c.1988 Patrick Kelly Purple Brocade One Shoulder Feather Trim Dress

I Have A Question: c.1988 Patrick Kelly Purple Brocade One Shoulder Feather Trim Dress

I believe that like the other Patrick Kelly I just listed, that this one is also from the Fall 1988 collection but could not find an exact reference. I say that because that particular collection featured a lot of feathered neckline pieces. If it is not in that season it would certainly have been around that time period.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art recently hosted an exhibit of the work of Patrick Kelly. The show notes state: "“I want my clothes to make you smile”—that was the goal of late African American designer Patrick Kelly in creating his bold, bright, and joyful creations. Kelly achieved this on the streets, nightclubs, and runways of New York, Paris, and beyond in the heady, inventive, and often-subversive urban milieu of the 1980s....Kelly’s work pushed racial and cultural boundaries with golliwog logos, Aunt Jemima bandana dresses, and his ubiquitous black baby-doll brooches. His playful looks were inspired by his muse, Josephine Baker, and admiration for couturiers Coco Chanel, Elsa Schiaparelli, and Yves Saint Laurent, among others."

The dress is as exuberant and  over-the-top as you would expect from a piece of Patrick Kelly's work. It is made from a black & purple brocade that has a quilted detailing that runs over the fabric. This gives it an almost padded feel to the fabric and is very unusual. It is cut to hug the body and show every curve. The waist is nipped in through vertical seaming and the skirt is cut to follow the hips and sits slim cut below that. Kelly has squared off the single shoulder on the one side and and kept that sleeve long and lean. The sleeve ends in a point which is a small detail that I love for its unexpectedness. The other shoulder is left bare for a flash of skin. I love the fluffy explosion of black feathers that sits all the way around the neckline - this is what gives us the clue to the collection date and makes the dress so wonderful. As you get closer you also notice that the purple bits on the fabric are not just any design - they are each and elaborately done, long feather design, perfectly tying everything together. Excellent condition.

Fully lined in a black silky rayon and dress closes at the side with a hidden set zipper. Light boning through the bodice. Appears to have never been worn. Tagged a 42

I Have A Question: Fall 1988 Patrick Kelly Black Knit Fitted & Flared Skirt Dress

His playful looks were inspired by his muse, Josephine Baker, and admiration for couturiers Coco Chanel, Elsa Schiaparelli, and Yves Saint Laurent, among others."

This super sexy black knit Patrick Kelly dress is wonderful. It is made from a black knit that hugs the body to show every curve. Kelly has squared off the shoulder and kept the sleeves long and lean. The cut through the body hugs every curve and the dress is molded to just past the hip. At that point the skirt flares out dramatically and when you lay it out flat you realize that he has built in an entire circle of fabric into this low, dropped skirt. This is what give it the tremendous movement and volume that is has as soon as you move. It also offers a striking contrast to the super fitted cut through the body. I love the curved seaming that sits discreetly across the bust - this is what gives us the clue to the collection date and makes the dress a more subtle version to his famous heart dresses. Excellent condition.

The dress is wool knit jersey with some stretch. It closes at the back with a hidden set zipper. Light padding in each shoulder. Appears to have never been worn. The fabric does have stretch and the measurements provided are the comfortable range when laying flat. Tagged a US8. FR40, GB12

1950s Ceil Chapman Black Velvet & Ivory Silk Satin Wiggle Dress

I Have A Question: 1950s Ceil Chapman Black Velvet & Ivory Silk Satin Wiggle Dress

The early little black dresses that Ceil Chapman made on the late 40s and early 50s are some of the best examples of her work out there. This piece is quite fabulous with its mix of inky black velvet and ivory silk matte satin. I hope that the girl that decides to make it hers will truly love and cherish it. These early Chapman pieces are very hard to come by and you can see the masterful seaming techniques she employed in this piece. The ivory silk on the bodice inset bodice is sharply pleated across the waist and in the offset notch of the bust. I love how she has set this detailing off center so it looks like the wearer is wrapped into the dress. The skirt is cut slim and long to just past the knee. At the back two black velvet panels drape down the skirt on either side of the center. These are finished with a backing of the same ivory silk used on the bodice so that you get the perfect, unexpected, flash of ivory as you move. An extraordinary piece that is highly collectible. Excellent condition with one minor note below

Fully lined in a combination of an ivory rayon backing the bodice and a black silk through the reminder of the dress. It closes with a back painted metal zipper and is boned through the bodice. There is perhaps an area or two where the velvet's pile is not laying the same way as the rest but this is normal on a velvet dress of this age so more a sign of normal patina then a flaw but still mentioned for accuracy.

Shoulders: no true defined seam
Bust: 17" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 14" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: 19" flat across from side seam to side seam
Length: 46" from shoulder to hem with the back hem about an inch longer and the panels extending about 2" past that

I Have A Question: 1940s Nettie Vogues One Shoulder Black Jersey Dress with Matching Turban

This is a gorgeous black jersey dress and matching turban from the London label Nettie Vogues London. While researching the label I did find reference to pieces photoed for Vogue and photos of a young Princess Diana wearing a green dress by the label for her Snowdon engagement portraits. I dated it to the 40s but it could be a little later.

The dress has the feel of the 1940s to it and is an unusual piece that is easy to wear and has lots of impact despite its simple design. The dress is made from a black stretch jersey and the design is very simple. It has a one shoulder cut with the sleeved side cut in a wide dolman that begins from the detailing at the hip and gradually narrows as it reaches the wrist. The other shoulder is left bare. On the side with the sleeve, the dress is gathered and caught up on one hip with that big detailing accent piece that is made up of various sized paste rhinestones and beads. This gives it just a hint of shape through the body and some glitz to offset the stark black. It comes with its original turban hat. This pieces is also detailed with an attached accent piece made of rhinestones and beading. The headpiece has two long attached ties that you can leave dangling down over one shoulder or wrap, tie and tuck, for a more turban effect. Excellent condition

The dress is unlined and has a side zipper. It is very generous in its cut and will fit and drape on a variety of sizes.

1970s Hanae Mori Sunrise & Large Floral Print Silk Chiffon Halter Dress

I Have A Question: 1970s Hanae Mori Sunrise & Large Floral Print Silk Chiffon Halter Dress

I am such a huge Hanae Mori fan and this particular dress is absolutely wonderful. It still feels so fresh and modern even after all the years that have passed since it would have originally been made. The neck is gently scooped at the front with a little ties there and it softly blouses out to the waist. It is sleeveless with an angled cut that leads to the silk straps that wrap around the neck. The skirt flows to the floor in a perfect soft flowing column of silk. It flares out gently as it nears the hem and this allowed Hanae to fully showcase the print that she has wrapped around the lower skirt to its full advantage. The dress is made of the top printed layer of silk chiffon that you see and then inner layer is a nude silk chiffon. The skirt has an additional silk layer under that as well. Even with the layers the dress weighs almost nothing. Once the dress is slipped on, it simply floats around you.The outermost silk has been custom screened with one of her beautiful prints and it is a striking combination of neutral taupe and browns with vivid pops of blue and coral. The design is pure Hanae and the print is just extraordinary and beautiful depicting a sunrise over a beautiful floral backdrop. Excellent condition with one minor note below.

The bodice is interlined lined with a nude silk chiffon and layers of a nude silk chiffon and a pale blue silk line the skirt. It closes at the back with a series of hand covered snaps down the back and these also close the exterior skirt over the zipper that closes the inner lining. There are the lightest faintest little marks here and there on the skirt - maybe faint water marks? They are not seen unless laid out flat and when its on you would never notice. mentioned for accuracy. Hand finished throughout to demi-couture standards. Cut on the bias but waist is seamed

Bust: to 19" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 14" flat across from side seam to side seam
Lining hips: 18" flat across from side seam to side seam

1982 Krizia by Mariuccia Mandelli Deep Plunging Front Sculptural Dress

I Have A Question: 1982 Krizia by Mariuccia Mandelli Deep Plunging Front Sculptural Dress

Mariuccia Mandelli launched the Krizia label in 1954, as one of Italy's first ready-to-wear labels. By the 1980s and 1990s Krizia was a leader in the Italian fashion world with international acclaim. Much of her work was inspired by architecture and you can see a strong sense of that in this dress. I have dated this to the 1982 collection based on the reference photo found and dated to that year. It shares the same striking and unusual 'pockets' that jut out dramatically from the hip at sharp angles as the piece in that photo.

The dress is full length and made of a crinkled iridescent taffeta. Another reference photo found shows Mariuccia wearing an outfit in a similar fabrication. The drama of the hips are balance out by equally dramatic, curved and puffed sleeves. The front is done in an extremely low V that plunges past the waist to an almost unwearable depth. The hips are cut slim and fitted and the back has a high slit that runs up the center seam so that you can move and walk. The panels on each side are functional 'pockets' of sorts and do open down into the very bottom of where they attach along the side of the skirt. I have shown them extended out to each side but also photoed them pinned at the top points so that they curve in and wrap. You could do this to either the front or the back as I have shown. It is a very interesting and avant garde piece of fashion history. Excellent condition

Unlined and closes with a hidden set, metal and nylon zipper at the back. Tagged a 42IT. Appears to have never been worn, or worn very little

Sleeves: 15"
Shoulders: 14.5"
Bust: to 19.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: to 17.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: to 18.5" flat across from side seam to side seam

Front plunge is 19" deep and the black slit is 24 from hem

1970s Alfred Bosand Red Chiffon Accordion Pleat Dress & Matching Cape

I Have A Question: 1970s Alfred Bosand Red Chiffon Accordion Pleat Dress & Matching Cape

I picked up this darling little Alfred Bosand and even photoed it on myself, and it wasn't until I saw it in a specific light that I noticed that it had a mark on the front of the dress. It also has one bit of one row of the red sequin on the bodice missing. I decided to list it anyway because I think that when you wear the cape over it you would never notice the flaws and that it is just too pretty to not put out there in case some lover of vintage, who doesn't mind something less then perfect, falls in love with it like I did. Please review the provided photos carefully - the two after the label shot show the spot at its worst and also the bit of sequin loss is also shown.

The dress is otherwise gorgeous with the high level of care and craftsmanship put into that you see with Bosand's work. It is a beautiful blue based red in color and the chiffon on both pieces is accordion pleated. This pleating technique gives the fabric tremendous movement. Bosand utilizes that to the extreme by having the fabric fall directly under the red sequin band that sits over the bust. From there the fabric falls in a sheath widening as it nears the hem because the pleats opening allow it to do so. The cape is equally gorgeous with a ruffles beck that frames the face and it too flares out as the pleats open. It is a gorgeous little set and you can get an entirely different look and feel by wearing it on its own or switching out the cape for something else. Outside of the two flaws mentioned about the dress is otherwise excellent

Please read the first paragraph of the listing for the description of the two areas where it is flawed. The dress is fully lined in red chiffon with a red silky rayon lining through the bodice and it closes with a back painted metal and nylon zipper. The capes hooks and ties at the neck. Priced based on the cape and the dress is given for free. Sold as found and final sale

1960s Geoffrey Beene Blue & Green Backless Layered Chiffon Dress

I Have A Question: 1960s Geoffrey Beene Blue & Green Backless Layered Chiffon Dress

I have this same dress in a brown version that is also currently available in the shop. If you want to see it in that color option, please click here to pop directly to that listing.

Geoffrey Beene's evening wear rarely misses the mark.  It always has this combination of elegance and sexiness with great details and workmanship that makes you feel that you are really wearing something special. Here we have a beautiful and very sexy silk chiffon bias cut gown with a fabulous squared off back cut out that leaves the back left bare. On this one the color combination begins with a nude underlay that is then topped with a layer of a deep green and finished with a deep blue. This creates that unique color that you see and gives the dress a really unusual tone and depth. Depending on the light and how the fabric is sitting the color seems to change before your eyes. It is quite unusual. The bodice has a wide band at the waist and on this version that band is left simple and clean. The arms are full near the body - they begin from the top of that waist band and then narrow as they reach each cuff. The skirt swings out from the waist and there is literally yards and yards of fabric in it - if you twirl it is a full circle. The neck scoops at the front but the back is left completely bare - that bit of sexiness I mentioned above. It is just absolutely stunning. Excellent condition

Fully lined in a nude silk crepe, it closes with a low back, hand set zipper. Each sleeve has hidden snaps at the wrist. Hand finishes

Sleeves: 27" approx.
Shoulders: no defined seam
Bust: 18" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 14" flat across from side seam to side seam

1970s Louis Feraud Turquoise & Green Printed Jersey Maxi Dress

I Have A Question: 1970s Louis Feraud Turquoise & Green Printed Jersey Maxi Dress

These early Louis Feraud pieces are highly collectible and in their day they were sought after. Women like Elizabeth Taylor and Brigitte Bardot were huge fans. During the sixties and early seventies the Feraud label was known world wide for piece that incorporated vibrant prints and gorgeous graphic designs. This full length maxi dress is a striking example of just that. The jersey is of the wash and wear variety and this fabric choice beautifully holds the color.. The design is as vibrant as the day it was screened on. I love how the design is done to cover the body completely but the jersey fabric still drapes and clings to every curve so it is still insanely sexy. That bright design highlights the cut of the dress from neck to hem. I love the mix of the print and the unexpected pops of color worked in with the blue and green. Excellent condition

Unlined and closes with buttons and fabric loops at the back neck as well as a painted metal side set zipper. Each wrist buttons to close. The fabric is a light weight jersey so it will have a bit of stretch from the listed measurements.

Shoulders: 15"
Bust: 18-19.5" flat across from side seam to side seam

Fall 2005 Christian Dior Supermodel Length Navy Side Button Dress

I Have A Question: Fall 2005 Christian Dior Supermodel Length Navy Side Button Dress

This is a beautiful dress from the Christian Dior label that showcases the restraint and elegance the best of the brands work has always displayed. It is cut to supermodel length and the lines make it feel even longer. Everything about the cut is done to lengthen the girl wearing it and give her one long and beautiful line. The shoulders are slightly squared off, but not in an exaggerated way. The sleeves are long and lean. The body of the dress follows the body underneath in a way that the fabric just skims over you from shoulder to hem. The waist is brought in just a touch and this is done with vertical seaming so that there is no line to break the fabric across the waist. The skirt falls from there to the floor in a column. It buttons down one side and the buttons are set on a slight curve that gives the dress a respectful nod to the early days of the house. These completely open so you could actually wear this is a layered piece if you wished. It is simple and refined and has not a single unnecessary seam. The original tags are still attached. Excellent condition

Fully lined in a deep blue silk and closes with the buttons down the front. Original tags attached and appears to have never been worn. Tagged a modern 40

Sleeves: 25.5"

1960s Unlabeled Pierre Cardin Deep Chocolate Fur Pea Jacket or Coat

I Have A Question: 1960s Unlabeled Pierre Cardin Deep Chocolate Fur Pea Jacket or Coat

This has been in my archives for a while now and at some point, it lost its Pierre Cardin label. I have had to price it as an unlabeled piece of course, but wanted to still provide that information so that you can assess the quality level of the jacket. I am no expert on furs but believe this is perhaps beaver or a long haired mink. The color is a rich deep chocolate and the fur is supple, soft and very shiny. The jacket  is cut in a classic pea coat style with a double row of buttons down the front. On each side of the hips sit slanted flap pockets and it is cut to slightly flares out as it nears the hem. The sleeves are cut straight and full and the collar is a classic notched wide collar.  It has been properly stored and cared for and appears to have been worn very little if at all. No splitting, issues or shedding. It is a lovely example of the work from this label during this period of its history. Excellent condition.

Fully lined in a deep brown silk. Slit pockets at the side under the decorative flap. Embroidered with the initials JG inside. I see no bald spots or shedding, the pelts are supple, soft and shiny. Perhaps slight wear at some of the common points - edges of the sleeves. the inner edge, but very very minor and only mentioned for full accuracy. For a vintage fur I still rate this as excellent. The fur has no odd odor, is still supple and is stable with no signs of excessive shedding that would indicate that it is breaking down.

Sleeves: approx 22"
Shoulders: approx 15"
Bust: 21" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 22" flat across the inside from side seam to side seam
Hips: 25" flat across from side seam to side seam
Length: 29" from neck to hem

Modern Sizing Equivalent: SML-MED

Item# C483

S/S 2011 Isabel Marant Strapless Purple Print Runway Dress Look 3

I Have A Question: S/S 2011 Isabel Marant Strapless Purple Print Runway Dress Look 3

By Spring 2011 Isabel Marant was a force. This was only her fourth official runway show and her label was exploding. She told Vogue's Saran Mower that it had become hard to keep her New York store, which opened that spring, stocked with merchandise: "As soon as a new shipment comes in, pfff, it's gone." Mower's review of the collection went on to say that: "Marant took her first trip to California earlier this year and fell in love with its chill vibe. This collection, she said, was an ode to surfing and the early days of skateboarding. That seventies feeling meant there were cutoffs in denim or corduroy with everything from bright check button-downs to shrunken fisherman sweaters to lacy tanks. Sports references came fast and furious: A vintage-looking silk baseball jacket in embroidered washed silk was followed by nipped and fitted rugby-stripe dresses and slightly oversize football-jersey tees. On the more girly side, Marant's signature cropped jacket was cut from red bandanna fabric, and a strapless dress was smocked from a Liberty-esque purple floral print."

This is that purple dress mentioned in the review and it instantly sold out world wide and was wait listed everywhere. The furor caused by this dress was astonishing. It was worn by Anja Rubik for the runway and everyone wanted to emulate her look. It is the easiest dress to wear and the cut is very simple. The bodice is a stretch, elastic tube and the skirt is cut micro short. The seams are left raw and deconstructed, The skirt has three layers of ruffles and only the very top layer is seamed, the other two layers are left cut and raw. The sides are curved up so they are cut very high on the thigh, This also gives the skirt a pretty curve that is immensely flattering. It was shown on the runway belted, but can be work either way. Even after all this time this is a favorite piece from all her collections. Excellent condition.

Unlined and slip on to wear. The bodice stretches. Tagged a Marant size 2. The fabric is 100% Indian made silk. The stretch will allow a variety of sizes

Bust: 15-19" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 12-16" flat across from side seam to side seam

I Have a Question

Early 1960s Christian Dior Numbered Colifichets Crystal & Pearl Project Dress

I Have A Question: Early 1960s Christian Dior Numbered Colifichets Crystal & Pearl Project Dress

The Colifichets boutique was found on the ground floor of the Dior Haute Couture atelier at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris. It allowed Dior to expand his clientele beyond his Haute Couture clients. The pieces were still made in house and to demi-couture standards. I found reference to the boutique as early as 1949 in article giving the history of when Dior conceived his first lipstick. That idea was conceived as a sort of limited-edition 'gift with purchase', and was sent to the most loyal clients of his Colifichet boutique as a Christmas present that year. This is a beautiful example of the workmanship coming out of the boutique. It is not perfect but still a very rare and important piece of Dior's early history.

The dress is made from a rich ivory silk that holds the shape well. The bodice is cut with a high V at the front and the back gently scoops to leave the upper back bare. The waist is set high just below the shaped and formed bodice and the skirt is cut to angle out as it nears the hem. The bodice has an intricate design done in a combination of crystal rhinestones, dangling drops, and faux pearls. The edges of the bodice are densely covered and all the edges are finished with dangling teardrops. Every piece is hand set and applied and you can clearly see the hand done work on the back of the fabric. The interior is fully finished with a boned and cupped inner corset that hooks to close independently under the exterior zipper.

The dress is far from perfect and is suitable for the collector as is, or for someone who would be willing to take on a restoration project. I note the following flaws: faint discoloration and staining scattered over the skirt. These might be lightened out by a specialist. They are faint and if you don't mind small flaws these could be considered negligible. On the bodice there are some missing tear drops and beads here and there. Not very many and a repositioning of some of the other beads and crystals would resolve this. Inside, some of the metal stays that create the boning are poking through at the ends of this silk pockets. Again a minor issue to resolve. The interior of the inner corset is otherwise very clean and unaffected. The real flaw is the staining under each arm. The arms would have to be re-cut. The good news is that the marks do not go terrible deep into the dress from under the arms so should be doable without completely compromising the dress. I have chosen to sell it as found for two reasons. One, the collector may wish it to be in its original, as found  state regardless of the flaws, and two, for the girl buying to potentially wear, it makes more sense to have the repairs done to fit her specifically.

It is fully lined in an ivory silk and part of the lining has its own hook and eye closure. The exterior silk closes with a back, painted metal sipper. The  inner corset closes with hook and eye. The tag is numbered. Please make sure to fully read the above paragraph before purchasing. This gown is sold as a final sale and as found

Bust: 15" flat across from side seam to side seam, removing the inner corset might give you another inch or two. The cups would fit up to a B I think
Waist: 11" flat across from side seam to side seam, removing the inner corset might give you another inch or two
12 to 21" flat across from side seam to side seam
Bodice: 12" from top of shoulder to lowest part of empire waist
Skirt: 41" from lowest part of empire waist to hem

Modern Sizing Equivalent: XXS to maybe a XS if inner corset was removed or altered

1980s Morton Myles Dramatic Ruffled and Bowed One Shoulder Dress

I Have A Question: 1980s Morton Myles Dramatic Ruffled and Bowed One Shoulder Dress

Morton Myles shot to fame when Jacqueline Kennedy appeared on the cover of Look magazine wearing a blue sleeveless linen dress, with her family, in 1961. He had designed the dress while working for Herbert Sondheim and soon after started his own label. His work is always well made and has a sense of refinement to it. Even in a piece like this with all of its over-the-top hallmarks of the 1980s with that extravagant ruffled sleeve, it still somehow feels classic. The dress is cut to fit the body with a nipped in waist and long lean skirt that balance out that dramatic top. The fabric is a black taffeta and his choice to keep it as a black dress helps to balance out the drama of the ruffles. And what drama it is. I love the huge ruffled sleeve that poufs out with all its extravagance. The ruffles are set all the way around the shoulder in a dense and tight pattern that keeps that huge round shape and give it volume. More ruffles continues down from that one sleeve and edges the neckline on both the back and the front. The other arm is left bare and a huge bow sits on one hip. A high slit that runs up the seam on the skirt on the side opposite to the single sleeve is the perfect finishing tough. It is quite wonderful. Excellent condition

Fully lined in a black silk and closes with a hidden set side zipper. Appears to have never been worn.

Bust: 17.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 13.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: to 19" flat across from side seam to side seam

I Have a Question

1980s Bellville Sassoon Appliqued Bodice & Princess Skirted Tulle Dress

I Have A Question: 1980s Bellville Sassoon Appliqued Bodice & Princess Skirted Tulle Dress

The Bellville Sassoon label was founded in 1953 by Belinda Bellville but did not officially take on the Bellville Sassoon label until 1970 when David Sassoon, who had been with the company since 1958, took over most of the designing. In 1987, Irish designer Lorcan Mullany joined the company and took over designing and the brands labels changed to reflect this. The Sassoon label became internationally known when Princess Diana began wearing pieces quite extensively. Countless other celebrities wore the label as well such as Elizabeth Taylor, Jackie Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn, and Madonna.

The is the perfect princess dress and is absolutely wonderful with its dramatic and full cut through the skirt and densely beaded bodice. The bodice is fitted and the waist nips in. The bodice is cut to be barely there and is covered in a dense and elaborate combination of beading, sequins, applique work and metallic silver & embroidered ribbon that gives it a 3D feel. This is suspended from two tiny straps . The waist begins just under the bust line and under that is is gathered and fitted so that you are completely nipped in to create an hourglass shape. The illusion of the smallest possible waist is further exaggerated by the tremendous volume of tulle that forms that dramatic and extra, extra full skirt that you see. There are five full layers of tulle that make up that skirt and the inner most layers have additional lower ruffles to add even more volume. That fantastical fullness this creates is the perfect balance to that fitted top portion of the dress. I love that the bead work is done in a black, ivory and silver, but the skirt is actually a deep, deep navy color. It is an unusual color combination that works. It is beautifully made and so pretty in person. Excellent condition.

Fully lined in a black silk and closes at the back with a metal and nylon zipper. tagged a UK 12 but it is very tiny. It is probably best suited for a size 0 as it did not zip fully on my size 2 dress form (it will of course close perfectly on the proper sized girl). Appears to have never been worn

Bust: 15" flat across from side seam to side seam
Seam under bust: 13.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Natural waist: 13" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips at the inner lining: to 20" flat across from side seam to side seam
Bodice: 10" from top of bodice to seam under the bust
