I Have a Question
This is a wonderful hip length string coat from the 1970s by the Crissa Cotique of France label. I love these and have had versions of these in the shop. I always look for them. It is made entirely from curved set rows of a soft and fluffy cotton string. Many designers have made versions of these coats since, but there is nothing like the original. You will see these pop up fairly often in the truly cropped length that lands above the hip, but the longer ones like this one are harder to find. I have one of these myself and I always look for the longer ones for the shop. I have included photos of the even longer version of it that I have so you can get an idea of how it looks on, but please note that this one would probably land at about the edge, or just above, of the mini dress I am wearing in the shots.
The color of the cotton string on this one is a light ivory/off-white color that is consistent from top to bottom. Any variations of color in the photos is the lighting only. The cut is loose and easy and it is open down the front with large sized, hidden snaps to close it. It has slouchy pockets on either hip. The inside is unlined and you can clearly see the way the string has been set onto the base and finished. It is meant to be big and slouchy once on so the size is almost irrelevant as they will fit pretty much any size. These can be styled for high, sexy glamour or keep it soft and romantic. These coats can top absolutely anything from jeans to an evening dress, making them an extremely versatile piece to have in your wardrobe. It is a timeless piece of instant glamour and a fabulous alternative to any type of fur, whether it be faux or real. Excellent condition with a minor note below to review
Unlined and closed with hidden set, large snaps along the front. The color is consistent and the strings are strong and stable. These were cut to be worn over-sized and slouchy and it will fit a variety of sizes. There is a mark near the label that is only on the interior and does not show at all on the outside. A touch of grubbiness to the strings to the edge of one side at the bottom. Please see the two photos after the shot of the label

This top is from the early 2000s by the Jean Paul Gaultier Jeans label - JPG Jeans. It is made from a silky rayon fabric that is cut on the bias so when you put it on it feels great as it move with you. The collar is neat and pointed and it buttons down the front with buttons inscribed with the labels logo. it is cut through the body to follow your curves. The front is set so that it points down at the center and is several inched longer then where the back hem lands. The sleeves are incredible. Each is cut extra extra ling and flares out at the end. This is a more recent top by designer Caroline Constas that is done in a crisp blue and white stripe. It is cut to sit as a strapless piece with attached sleeves that sit well off the shoulders and are poufed out for volume. The body of the top is cut to flare out quite wide around the waist so that you get this lovely sense of volume mixed with the bare skin of the shoulders. Inside there is a built in foundation piece with its own separate zipper so the top is held in place around your bust. It looks to have never been worn and is like new. Excellent condition.
There is a inner built in piece made out of elastized lingerie fabric and light boning, This zips at the back and then the top is loose and easy over that and also zips with a hidden set zipper at the back. Tagged a M. Appears unworn.

This is a rare and wonderful Jeff Banks 1960s light weight printed cotton voile top that is fabulous. The base is black and onto that is a stunning novelty print of swimmers coursing through the water. Each figure is done in a mix of blue, white and yellow. This is a very rare example of his print work on a specific pattern other then a floral or stripe. The cuffs buttons to close and the sleeves each pouf out above the wide cuffed wrists in his signature sleeve shape. The cut is slim and sexy and the collar is done in an extreme, long pointed shape. His signature, double button front is the perfect finish. It is amazing. Excellent overall condition with one small note to review below

I Have a Question
This jacket is incredible and in person it is even better then how it photoed. The gold on it makes more of an impact and you really get a sense of the detail and texture that is in this jacket. The base of the jacket is a black, light weight felted wool that is very soft and fine. Top stitched onto this is a metallic gold thread that is set in long vertical lines and then there is a second diamond pattern over those. The gold thread cover the entire jacket and really give it a lush feel. All of the edges are finished with a thick black and gold braiding. This circles the cuffs and hem, runs up the front and around the collar and sits across the top of each front pocket. He has also added it around the seams where the arms attach. The cut is a comfortable to wear box cut that is chic but loose and easy - a classic Yves silhouette. The sleeves are cut wide which makes them quite striking with that gold thread and cording design. The loose and easy cut make it extremely versatile and it is the kind of piece that will work equally well for a casual afternoon or as evening wear. Excellent condition
Fully interlined in a black silk satin that has the same thread treatment making the inside the jacket as gorgeous as the exterior. It buttons to close down the front as seem. Tagged a 44. It looks to have been worn very little if at all. It is a true inky black and a deeper gold in person

I Have a Question
This hat is by Balenciaga and is an impossible find. I believe is actually from the menswear line from when Nicolas Ghesquière was the Creative Director for the brand. A version of it was worn multiple times by Carine Roitfeld during that season and into the nect and I have spotted her wearing hers even up to the last couple of years.Â
The hat is made out of a deep green corduroy that is top stitched around the brim. It is intentionally slouchy and soft so very easy to wear and travel with. A dark leather band wraps around the base of the hat and is secured by a black, gold and white enamel disc. It looks to have never been worn or worn very little. Excellent conditionÂ

Lilly Daché was one of America’s most famous milliners. You can barely open a Vogue or other fashion magazine from the years of her heyday without seeing several of her hats in them. She worked under renowned milliners Suzanne Talbot and Caroline Reboux in Paris before moving to America in 1924 where she worked until she could eventually open her own label. At the height of her career she owned a nine story building known as the ‘House of Hats,’ on East 56th Street in New York.
This hat is remarkable similar to the one famously worn by Wilhelmina for Vogue in 1963. It is a slouchy short brimmed fedora style that feels remarkably modern and fresh. The brim is longer in the front then the back and this gives it a bit of a rakish feel. The back brim rolls up slightly which adds to its sauciness. The crown is soft and unstructured and meant to fold in a bit when on. A brown grosgrain ribbon with a flat bow on one side wraps around the base. It is made from a very soft leopard printed pony and it it loos like it has never been worn or worn very little. It is one of the best hats I have seen from this era. Excellent condition.Â
Measures 21" around and meant to sit a bit higher up ion the head. Lined in a black silk and finished with a grosgrain ribbon edge.Â

A while ago I sold a beaded Mr Blackwell dress and the girl I got that off of rang me up recently to tell me that she had found its matching, unlabeled coat. It is a great stand alone piece and I immediately grabbed it for the shop.
Richard Blackwell launched his label in the late 1950s and even at that time his pieces sold for between $800 and $1000 (or up to $10,000 in the modern terms). He dressed many of the big stars of the day including Jane Russell, Dorothy Lamour and Jayne Mansfield. I love finding his pieces and this little coat is wonderful. The cut of this coat is simple so that the bead work on it can shine. It is cut with a classic double button front, straight sleeves, and is fairly straight cut through the body with just a suggestion of shape through the waist. It skims over the torso and falls in a slim silhouette to about the knee. The detailing that you see is all created by the application of silver tube beads and little faux pearls. These are all hand placed to create the design that you see. They have a slight raised 3D effect and give the otherwise simple coat a shot of glamour but without being too flashy. Excellent condition with a small note below to review.Â
Fully lined through the body in an ivory colored silk and closes with the buttons you see at the front. The embellishments are hand placed and sewn. There are the occasional bead missing here and there. Please see the last four photos provided for examples of that. It is very minor. Some minor damage to the lining. Hand finished throughout

This is a wonderful hip length string coat from the 1970s by the Arissa of France label. From the Spring 2015 collection comes this fabulous little denim mini from Mother denim. With the craze for micro short pieces still going strong it almost feels more relevant now then it did when it came out. The skirt is made from a washed and distressed denim that has a raw cut edge. It has classic front pockets and two back pockets with the M logo stitched on both. It is cut to sit low slung on at the waist and flares out slightly as it nears the hem. This is a classic denim mini that will never go out of style. Unworn and with original tags. Excellent condition

I Have a Question
This cape with its bright turquoise color and all that gold cording is definitely a bold and over the top piece. Which is probably why I love it so much. In person the color is even better and has a touch more of a blue to it than how it photoed. It pops more against the gold. The cape itself is a synthetic jersey and this fabric choice makes it an easy to wear, travel with and care for. It is cut to drape over the shoulders and there is a row of four buttons at the neck. The shoulders have no seams and the cape falls from there in a swing of fabric that widens out as it nears the hem. There are two slits at the front that you can slip your arms through and each is decorated with swirls of the gold braiding. More of the gold detailing runs down the front and all the way around the hem. There is also a lovely pattern of it on either side at the bottom. This cape actually has a hood which makes it even more fantastical. It is also braided around its edge, down the center and a little gold tassel gives it the perfect finish. The back is cut to fall slightly longer then the front. Excellent condition.
Unlined and closed at the neck with fours embroidered buttons and loops. Its open cut should allow it to fit just about any body type.

I Have a Question
The Valentina Ltd label was a high end knit wear company that flourished through the 1950s to the 1970s and were known for the elaborate bead and sequin work on soft knits and knit jerseys. They had the bead and sequin work done in Hong Kong, where the best sequin and bead work in the world outside of the specialty ateliers in Paris was being done. This skirt only has its Saks label present but I instantly recognized the patter as I have had a full dress that from the waist down was the exact twin of this skirt.
This skirt is gorgeous and has an elaborate pattern set on a felted jersey knit. This gives the fabric a touch of added texture and it is also soft to the touch. The print covers every inch of the skirt including the 'ribbons' at the bottom hem. To construct this skirt so that the pattern perfectly lines up like this means that the pattern would have had to be all pre-thought out and laid out onto the fabric before cutting. The bead and sequin work is all done by hand and it is added to the fabric to follow and highlight the design underneath. I especially love the elaborate work around the waist band where large turquoise colored discs and rhinestones create a stunning jeweled effect all the way around the waist. Excellent condition with one small note below

I Have a Question
This feels a little newer and I think its probably a late 1960s piece. It is a spectacular hand painted Mexican circle skirt. These were made by hand for the tourist market and this one is unusual for its longer length since most end just about the knee. The skirt has the most amazing floral print that circles the entire skirt. The design is hand painted onto the cotton and the flowers area combination of a corals, greens and yellows. The effect of those big and gorgeous flowers n the back is amazing. Each flower has been given an extra splash of glamour with hand placed and sewn translucent gold sequins topped with a tiny gold seed bead. A very unusual piece and so easy to wear. The tie waist allows it to fit a variety of sizes too. Excellent condition
Unlined with hand painted designs and hand done sequin work. Ties extend from both sides of the waist and one set wraps and has velcro to hold it in place and the other ties into place. This should allow it to fit a variety of sizes. The shots where it is fuller are the skirt shown over a crinoline that is not included. It looks to have never been used or used very little

I Have a Question
The laced safari tunic from the 1968 collection remains as one of the holy grail pieces in the vintage world. It was re-issued in several forms during Yves' span as head of his atelier and when Tom Ford took over YSL in 1999, he too did versions of the look in homage to Yves. Countless celebrities have been spotted wearing some version of that first famous tunic over the years, and it is one of the most identifiable of Yves' pieces out there.
This one is very easy to wear as it gives you complete control over how much skin you decide to show behind the lace up front. The front laces all the way down the front and on this version there is a modesty panel that you can fold over and into place to cover the bareness behind the laces. For the photos here that panel is fold back so that you can see that it can also be worn to show skin between the two front edges. If you decide to wear it this way the gap left between the two sides is scandalously sexy. The dress is made from a crisp white cotton mix that has stretch to it. It is very light weight and the stretch in the fabric makes it insanely easy and comfortable to wear. It has many of the same hallmarks of the original tunic made famous when it was photoed on supermodel, Veruschka. It's fabulous. Excellent condition

This reminds me of the classic bowling ball bag but smaller and definitely more chic. It is covered in a more angular Emilio Pucci print that has a great combination of citrus and greens. It is done in a velvet which has kept the colors fresh and true. And I love the contrast between the rich velvet and the black leather frame. The shape is wonderful. It is a mini frame bag that has soft rounded corners and widens from the clasp frame into a solid little base. I love the gold toned clasp that sits atop the frame and the velvet and leather handle is just the right size to balance the bag. Excellent condition

I adore this fabulous little cape top with its 'feathered' shoulder design and amazing purple color. This is one of those amazing little OOAK pieces you can only find with vintage. These were all the rage during the seventies and they were made in varying degrees of quality. This one is well done and appears to be completely hand made. The silk crepe chiffon base is a deep rich purple color that instantly makes it stand apart from the slew of others you normally see in less vibrant colors. The exterior is densely covered in glossy silver and purple sequins mixed and edged with tiny little faux pearls and tube beads. The shoulders had a pretty design that feels like they suggest feathers and then the sequins run in vertical rows under that. A wider panel of silver beads and sequins follow the curve and shape of the cape all around the edges and neckline. It just slips over the head and is open on the sides. All that glitz adds an instant bit of glamour to anything. The open sides allow it to fit anyone and top anything. The camera does not quite pick up the impact of the silver sequins - it is better in person. Excellent condition.
The cape is fully lined in a purple silk chiffon. It slips on to wear and will fit a variety of sizes. All the sequins are hand applied. Perhaps the occasional missing bead or sequin but no bare spots. The purple color in person is

I Have a Question
Pieces that were made while Hubert de Givenchy still headed the atelier seem to be even more special to me then ones that are more recent. This skirt is especially gorgeous with its vibrant pink color. In person the pink is even better and more towards the fuchsia side of hue then how it photoed. That bright pink combined with the lightness of the silk organza gives it an especially light, bright, fresh feel. The skirt is made up of two layers. The top layer is cut on the bias cut and is a silk organza. There is so much volume in it I think that if it was laid out on the floor flat it would be a full circle skirt and then some. There are yards of fabric making up that layer. The inner skirt is a tissue silk organza and is a slightly brighter pink then the outer layer so when you do see a flash of it at the hem it gives it a slight color contrast. Presents as excellent condition with some small notes to review below.
Fully lined in a pink tissue silk organza and closes with hook & eye at the waist line and silk covered snaps below that. There are small faded marks to the silk here that you will never see once on as there is so much fabric. The upper edge of the waist shows some thinning of the fabric and some light fading. Minor and once on it is not noticeable This is natural patina for this type of fabric. Please see the last two photos provided. Numbered under the tag edge 14390

This was one of the stand out coats from the Pre-Fall 2011 Stella McCartney collection and this grey version quickly caught the eye of a lot of women and sold out worldwide. It has a lovely androgynous feel to it with its play on a mans low slung classic double breasted coat. It has slightly sloped shoulders whose slouchy feel is offset but her extension of the shoulder seam so it has a hint of a cap. The cut through the body is oversized through the upper portion and then it narrows down into the hip. A single large pockets sits on one side at the middle of the jacket, like a dropped breast pocket. Hidden pockets also sit along each hip. It is warm and easy to wear. Looks to have been worn very little if at all. Excellent condition.Â

This top by Todd Oldham is fantastic and one of the most striking pieces from his time period as a designer. It has that great tongue in teeth feel that so much of his work had. It is kind of like the New York society girl's, nineties answer to western wear. It has a great faux wood print that covers the silk and onto that as sweet little roses scattered everywhere. At the back is a framed portrait of a horse against a blue sky backdrop with perfect clouds floating by. I love the coiled brass buttons that circle little black drops. It has french cuffs and its original cuff links that match the buttons down the front and are a larger more elaborate version of those. It is meant to be oversized and easy to wear. This is a very very rare example of the work of Ossie Clark and one you will not see very often. It is a fabulous sweater and I think I have seen less then 1/2 a dozen of his knit pieces over the last 20 years. Its insanely good on top of it's rarity. It has that nod to the 40s that runs through so ,much of his work. it is a light knit with a slight ribbing. The neck line is cut into a V and the body cut long and it flares slightly as it nears the bottom hem. The sleeves are amazing and they are each cut extra long and have a definitive flare when they reach the cuffs. This makes them fabulous on and they create lots of movement. It has a matching belt that picks up on the grey part of the rust and grey stripes on each shoulder. That same striping finishes the ends of each sleeve too. Excellent condition with the exception of the belt buckle.

This is a gorgeous and early Bill Blass coat that has a very unusual design. Either side of the side panels are only sewn together once they reach the lower bust. This creates a wonderful movement to the panels when you move and also allows what you are wearing under it to peek though. It is made out of a gold metallic silk brocade that combines deep coppers and a startling coral. The collar is a neat and high and the shoulders are structured but un-padded. The sleeves are cropped and it closes with hidden set snaps on the bodice so that the line is not broken. Under that the panels of the coat fall on move fabulously around you as you walk. This Bill Blass coat is not 100% perfect but is a very wow piece whose flaws play no true reflection on how it looks once on. Presents as excellent but please rad the full condition notes below.
Fully lined in a coral silk and closes at the front with silk covered, hand set hidden snaps. There is fraying to the edge of the collar, marks on the lining inside the coat and repairs that have been done at some point to the side seams on both sides. Some grubbiness and thinning to the fabric under the interior arms. The coat must have been stored folded for a long time as there are light creased marks here and there in the metallic fabric. I have been working on them after it came back from the cleaners and they will come out eventually after being hung for a time. Please review all photos after the label shot. The lining is more of a coral in person.

I Have a Question
This is a beautiful and intricate jacket by Adolfo. Adolfo started his career under Balenciaga and like Halston, was a successful milliner before opening his own fashion house. He became know for his Chanel inspired suiting and some of them are on par and perhaps even more relevant in feel then their inspirational equivalents of the time. This little jacket for example is wonderful example of his work. Adolfo often did custom work for his clients who ranged from the Duchess of Windsor, to Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Gloria Vanderbilt and Nancy Reagan. He even won a Coty Award in 1969. I love his work and am very pleased to have this exceptional jacket in the shop today. It is made of a beautiful pale pink woven boucle that has a rich, luxurious feel to it. The design that runs through the fabric is created by the use of a white and gold thread that is woven through the pink base. He then had faux pearls scattered over the entire jacket. It is surprisingly light and almost more of a light evening sweater weight then that of a true blazer type jacket. The edges of the jacket have a heavy and dense finish of gold thread, more pearls and then colored rhinestones set in among that gold. I has a single hook at the neck. Excellent condition.
Unlined in a hand set black silk. It has one hook at the top of the neck. 100% wool

This great little Geoffrey Beene top has that classic one shoulder design but with some structure built into the interior for that extra bit of detailing and tailoring that he is known for. The exterior is a knit jersey that has some give but inside there is zip front corset that has built in cups. This interior foundation creates a inner built in bodice that gives support to the wearer. Over this the top buttons to close with white buttons. That white detailing is picked up again with the white piping that finished the edges and details each pocket. One side has a simple cap sleeve and the other leaves the shoulder bare. Love it. Excellent condition.
The bodice is lined as described above and the rest of the top is unlined. It is well finished. It closes with a series of buttons at the front. Functional pockets on each hip. Tagged a vintage Beene 2

I Have a Question
I love this little hat by Christian Dior. It is just wonderfully made and so unique. I have seen a couple of version of this over the years in duller colors - a taupe and a olive green, but this is the only one I have come across in this wonderful red color. The brim is wide and bold with a touch a a slant that you can play with once it is on. I love the soft, 'fuzzy' chenille felt choice of fabric that gives it a fur feel. It has a wonderful patchwork of ribbons hand placed around the crown and onto the brim. The band is a pale dusty rose grosgrain ribbon that extend out the back into two ties that are each finished with the same ribbon. It is then top stitched over the ribbons all the way around the crown and brim. The hat is soft but with a shaped crown and not so soft that it is floppy. It feels very on point and modern. Excellent condition

I Have a Question
This is a gorgeous hat that I believe to be from the 1997 season. It is made of a felted wool in a bright and vivid purple shade that is quite lovely. It has a high crown that is trimmed by a wide black band. The band combines a black suede and a black patent leather that is intricately braided. The brim is wide and is done with a slight downwards slope that perfectly frames the face. The shape and color give it a bit of drama and it is the perfect pop of color to add to your wardrobe. Excellent condition

This is a wonderful cropped feather jacket that has no label but seems to be well made and is quite fabulous. The color of the feathers is a true black and they are wonderfully fluffy and soft. It has a fur hook to close it at the neck and the sleeves are long and cut fairly straight so that the balance the cropped cut of the jacket. I love this short cropped feel and the volume it creates to perfectly balance out wearing something slim underneath. Very rock and roll chic. It has that bit of a current Saint Laurent feel to it and the length means it can top just above anything. Excellent condition

I have a small collection of historically important, key designer labelled vintage furs, fur trimmed & feather pieces stored away in my archives that I will be slowly posting on the site over the next couple of years until I have none left. I will no longer be buying furs for the shop moving forward and have not purchased anything for several years now. I feel like times have changed and while there still is a place for vintage furs for some, including collectors and historians, many modern girls are choosing other options. Many of the pieces in my collection are representative of the designer during a set time period in history that was different then our modern outlook. I have decided that the best course to handle this controversial issue is to let the pieces I have go rather then sit in a cold storage unit. All fur coats, fur trimmed & feather pieces are final sale.

I Have a Question
This Oscar de la Renta jacket is a production piece based on what was show on the runway that season. The same pattern was used on several pieces in the runway show and I have included reference photos of those so you can see how closely the design on this jacket was carried over.
The jacket is gorgeous and has that classic ODLR feel to it with a touch of exoticism. The workmanship is beautiful and I love how the colors pop off the black velvet back drop. It is cut in a simple boxed shape with the slightest of curving in at the waist. It has no collar, cuffs or hem so that the applique work that has been done on it can take full center stage. The sequin & embroidery work follow the runway presentation almost exactly with a heavy collar and cuffs formed from the sequins done in tightly spaces rows of different colors and patterns. Little cross patterns made of white sequins topped with different colored threads are scattered over the body of the jacket. Down either side of the front edge and in a heavy border all around the bottom hem is more of the dense workmanship. It is gorgeous and even better on person. Excellent condition
Fully lined in a black silk and slips on to wear with no closures. It appears to have never been worn, or worn very little. Hand finishes. Tagged a US6

This gorgeous Christian Dior plaid scarf is huge and absolutely gorgeous. It dates from the late 1970s, early 1980s and is a mix of a deep red print with black base. The middle red print is bordered on all four corners by an intricate paisley print. A contrasting black border anchors both these elements and goes all the way around the outer edge. It is made of a fine silk and wool mix that is extremely light and pliable - it is the same weight and feel as a fine Hermes piece. Hand fringed edges. It is super light weight despite its size. This will allow you to wear it for many purposes, as a scarf, a shawl, a sarong, a head wrap, or anything else you can dream up style wise.
The Christian logo is screened directly onto the fabric and it is tagged with its content mix. It is freshly cleaned and it looks to have been worn very little if at all.

I Have a Question
I have no background on this top but it is all done by hand and is quite fabulous. The base is a black cotton velvet and I love the shape of the entire top. The sleeves end just above the wrist and the flare out and are rounded at their cuffs, curving upwards on the inside part of the sleeve. This same curved feel is done on the hem that curves down at the front and back and then up at the sides in the same way that the sleeves do. Onto the velvet is a dense application of a gold metallic cording that completely covers the front of the tunic. It goes all around the hem and finishes each sleeve and the collar. A heart shaped medallion sits on the back. It zips to close at the neck and the collar is high. Interspersed in the cording are little mirrors surrounded by a gold metal wire. All the cording mirrors are done by hand and you can clearly see that work on the back. Great condition with a note to review below
Unlined and slips on the wear with a zipper at the front neck. There is some fading to the velvet across the shoulders and the back of the collar. Please see the final photo. Slight patina to the mirrors which is normal for a piece of this age. All the cord work and mirrors were hand applied.

I Have a Question
I think one of my favorite vintage pieces is the full length maxi skirts by Pucci. His velvet are amazing and the print and colors that they were done in can't be beat. You can throw them on with just about anything topping them and it works. The prints are so vibrant and bright that they act like a neutral and they work as well with flats as they do with a heel so are infinitely versatile. This one is done in a brilliant and bright green velvet that has a spectacular grape vine print running over its surface. The skirt also has borders worked into the print that separate out the top from the bottom and give it visual interest. I love the deep purple and blues used to make up that design. They pop off the green beautifully. The cut is classic Pucci and shaped into a simple A-line silhouette that falls to the floor in a graceful sweep of fabric. The velvet gives it enough weight to hold the shape so it falls perfectly once on. These can really be worn year round as the velvet is a cotton version so breathes well. It is just fantastic and I love it. Excellent condition

I Have a Question
Is there anything better then a full length velvet Pucci skirt? I think they are one of my favorite vintage pieces and everyone should have one in their closet. You can throw them on with just about anything and it works. The colors in them and the prints are just wonderful. It is literally like wearing a work of art. They work as well with flats as they do with a heel. Here we have a stunning version done in A slightly more subtle print for him, but it still has one of his signature designs worked onto the fabric. This one suggests long and winding tassels that are suspended from a diamond grid that circles the hips. The cut is slightly different from his classic streamlined silhouette. It has more volume and sweep then his usual maxi skirts. This is created by a long inverted pleat that runs down the front and even my photos do not give it justice as far as how full the bottom is by the time it reaches the hem. The velvet gives it enough weight to hold the shape so it always looks perfect once on. On each hip there are slash pockets for the perfect finish. These can be worn year round as they are made out of a cotton velvet so breathes well. It is just fantastic and I love it. Excellent condition with one minor note below
Lined in a black silk and closes with a side, hidden set painted metal zipper and hook and eye at the waist. The zipper seems a little bumpy in the way it is set and was most likely replaces at some point. Hand finished and signed throughout.

I Have a Question
I love these velvet jackets that Pucci designed. They are very versatile and an easy way to add a pop of vintage into a modern wardrobe. The jacket is cut to perfectly work as a layering piece and because it buttons all the way up it can play double duty and can be worn on its own as a top. The fabric choice holds the colors exceptionally well and it gives them an extra layer of richness and texture. This one is a stunning mix of pink and purple tones mixed with a a soft baby blue. The print is one of my favorites, combining various flowers that cover the entire the jacket. It has a small and neat collar and the cut skims the body to just over the hip. A contrasting printed border runs down the front, details the collar and circles the cuffs and hem. This color combination is just gorgeous and it is a really pretty piece of Pucci. Excellent condition with a small note below
Fully lined in a baby blue silk and closes with buttons down the front. Each cuff buttons to close. Hand finished. Still has two extra buttons sewn along an interior seam. There is a tiny bit of discoloration under the arms of the interior silk and a small area of fading near the hem on the inside front of one side. Very minor.

This great vintage skirt by Emilio Pucci instantly makes you think of summer with its happy citrus color combination. It is deceptively simple in cut, and that simplicity is deliberate, allowing the beauty of that custom screened cotton to shine. The colors are pure happiness - a mix of yellows, corals, greens and pinks, all edged in fine black line and signed throughout with that famous Pucci signature. The cut is done so that there is one extra wide pleat panel of fabric that runs down the front. It is made of a thicker twill weight cotton which allows it to hold its shape when on. His signature borders finish the waist and hem. Excellent condition

This is a gorgeous cotton velvet skirt by Emilio Pucci that has been done in a beautiful mix of vibrant colors. Bright primary colors mix with startling turquoises, blacks and ivories within the sharply angled geometric design that runs across the surface. The edge of the hem is printed with a contrasting design, a signature Pucci flourish and one that makes it instantly recognizable as being his work. That heavy mix of colors will make it an easy addition to your existing wardrobe as virtually anything can be paired up with it. It is an instant pop of color and will never go out of style. Excellent condition with a small note to review below
The skirt is fully lined in an ivory silk and closes with a side painted metal zipper and a flat hook and eye at the waist. The inner lining shows some minor discoloration but nothing that effects the exterior. Perhaps a touch of grubbiness to the lighter parts of the velvet and a touch of wrinkling to the velvet at the waist band. All minor.

I Have a Question
This top is fantastic and one of the best of hers that I have had in the shop. Plus, it had the added bonus of having the earliest Janice Wainwright at Forty Seven Poland Street label. Pieces with this label are from the beginning of her career and for me, really showcase her talent and are among the very best of her work.
This pretty little bohemian spirited top is made of a black crepe chiffon and simply slips on, wraps and then ties into place. There is a partially attaches tie belt that allows you to do this. This also adds some detail and shape to the back where it is attached. The wrapping of it give it a plunging front and makes the fit through the bust easy. Each sleeve is cuffed and slightly full above those. Under the waist it has a little peplum effect that is very pretty. Her signature embroidery covers this one in a dense pattern of silver and gold thread peacock feathers. These are highlighted with soft pop of pink too. I love how the edges pick up the silver of the feathers with a silver metallic cording. It's just wonderful. Excellent condition

This pretty little Pucci tunic is done in one of his classic pink prints. It is so simple in its cut but that gorgeous Pucci print gives it a ton of impact. The colors are as crisp and true as the day it was made. The shapes and design are quintessentially Pucci and instantly recognizable. The pastels he has used on this one are edged and highlighted by pops of black. It has a pretty V neck at the front and through the body it is cut straight with each side ending in a notch. This is what gives it its true tunic feel. The neck, hem and cuffs are all detailed with one of his contrasting borders and that same print also runs down each sleeve. The fabric is a fine silk twill that has that same weight and feel as an Hermes scarf. This is an easy to wear top that is a perfect little piece of fashion history. Excellent condition.

I just love the pretty butterfly bow print that covers the surface of this Chloe top. they are done in a gorgeous red on a navy backdrop. There is also a secondary print in a a different finish blue thread and the effect is wonderful. The top is made from a scarf weight silk that holds the color beautifully. The sleeves are shorter on this one making it perfect for warmer weather. I love that they have a slight poufed shape to them and that each is finished with a turned up cuff. The collar is cut to be small and neat collar and the top still has its tie that you can tie into a proper bow tie if you wish to emulate on the print. The body of the top is cut loose and easy as it falls from the shoulders. This makes it equally great to wear tucked or un-tucked. This beautiful silk blouse is a classic from Yves Saint Laurent. It is an amazing color and print combination - a gorgeous plaid down in vibrant red and a deep blue on a fine silk. It has that signature Yves Saint Laurent tie at the neck. Each sleeve is cut to puff slightly above the two button cuff. The attached tie at the neck sits above a lower set neckline so when you tie it you get a glimpse of skin under the bow. It is set so that it extends out from the collar itself with no unbroken line at the back of the neck. The ties hang with one set a touch longer then the other the front so that when it is tied you get the same length ends falling from the bow. The combination of the tie at the neck and the high end silk used as the fabric really makes for a dynamic result. The silk is a beautiful, rich weighted silk that drapes wonderfully. This is a true 1970s version and hard to find. Excellent condition.

I just love the print that covers the surface of this wonderful Ungaro top. Its bright and cheerful with a red, green print on a black backdrop with pops of a deep blue and a white in it. It is made from a scarf weight silk that holds that bright color beautifully. The sleeves are wonderful and each is cut with a slight fullness above the cuffs. Gorgeous and absolutely huge, this Yves Saint Laurent plaid scarf from the late 1970s, early 1980s is a mix of a bright red with a jet black border that is overlaid with shots of metallic blue and gold thread. The plaid surrounds a intricate paisley printed inner border that is also overlaid with this same gold and blue metallic highlights and then the center goes back to the red plaid. The addition of the metallic thread gives the entire scarf a subtle shine that is gorgeous in real life.
The YSL logo is screened directly onto the fabric and it is tagged. It is freshly cleaned and it looks to have been worn very little if at all.

This is a beautiful geometric print Yves Saint Laurent silk scarf from the late 1970s, early 1980s that is very striking. The print on the silk is a bold combination of taupe, beige and rust on a jet black backdrop with pops of white. It is made of a fine silk that is extremely light and pliable - it is the same weight and feel as a fine Hermes piece. It has hand rolled edges and its super light weight and size allows you to wear and style it tons of ways. I love the secondary pattern in the silk that gives it a slight sheen. Excellent condition
YSL logo screened direct onto the silk and the edges are hand rolled. It is freshly cleaned and it looks to have been worn very little if at all. Note that there is the slightest perfume smell to this one still.

This is a gorgeous and chic silk top from the Valentino boutique label that proves that great design is eternal. The top is made from a beautiful light weight silk that has a graphic pattern completely covering its surface. The pattern is of little squares turned on their sides so they look like a diamond shape. In the center of each is another tiny square. These form a graphic pattern that entirely covers the silk. The cut is loose and generous which makes it feel light and easy to wear once on. The collar is kept neat and small with a row of buttons running part way down at the neck so that you can button it compeletly up or leave it more casual and unbuttoned. Each sleeve is cuffed to allow for a pouf of volume above. Excellent condition with one tiny note below.
Unlined and buttons at the front and cuffs. There is one button missing on one cuff and a touch of yellowing to the back inside collar. Priced accordingly and presents as excellent when on so this is very minor

I Have a Question
This great little top is fabricated from what looks to be a cotton that has a fine ribbing worked into the fabric that you can see best in the shot of the label. The color is the palest soft green that is so soft that in some lights it looks to be more of a white. The collar and front are piped in a red and the seams around the sides of the body and over the shoulders are finished in a green piping. The loose and easy cut are signature YSL and I love that this classic shape is mixed with this unusual fabric choice. This particular silhouette makes you instantly think of Yves and the seventies. The sleeves are incredible - each is very, very full above the single button cuff. The cut through the body is generous and it buttons to close down the front. I love it. Excellent condition with one note below to review
Unlined and buttons at the front. There is a single button at each cuff. The loose and generous cut should allow it to fit a range of sizes. There is one tiny mark on the upper back as shown in the shot after the label photo.
