1970s Ossie Clark & Birtwell Pineapple Dress
Insanely sexy and unequivocally Ossie and features two of Celia Birtwell's prints - a stunning floral mixed with her famous pineapple print on a crepe chiffon! Cut to mimic a thirties swing dress it is all cut on the bias so has perfect drape and movement once on. The skirt is constructed of two panels layered over each other and both tier atop the other and flare out for a wonderful swing feel, It skims up and over the waist to a high set triangle at the plunging bodice. I love the shoulder - each ties into place so leaves a keyhole of bare skin exposed. The back is actually entirely open and simply ties into place - so sexy! It is sexy, brilliant and iconic. everything about it is perfect and it is just amazingly sexy when on! Excellent condition.
The inner skirt acts as the lining in the bottom and then the cups of the bodice are lined and a red silky rayon. Everything else is left unlined. It slips on to wear and closes with ties at the shoulders and down the back. Tagged a vintage Ossie 14 - but please go by actual measurements
