Super Sale! c1982-1987 Yves Saint Laurent Glossy Black Couture Boater Hat
Yves repeated various renditions of this hat throughout his collections during the 1980s. A version of this same hat has also just been re-issued by Saint Laurent, a testimony to the enduring impact of this design. This is one of the originals and is wonderful. It is made of an extremely fine braided straw with a wide black, silk grosgrain ribbon wrapped around the brim. The hat is a miniaturized version of the boater and meant to sit high on the head to the side or pushed forward. It has its original elastic that you can wear under the chin or tucked around the back of the head depending on how you angle the hat. It is very chic and collectible. Excellent condition
21" circumference but meant to fit high on the head so will fit any head size. 2" high
