Style.com said of this collection: "A few of her favorite things. That summed up a Resort collection that was an amalgam of Miuccia Prada's perennial motifs. Active sport was represented by bike shorts and Windbreakers worn as evening toppers. A leopard print's roar was balanced by a twee heart motif. And almost every piece—from bikini tops to ladylike dresses with pleated gores—was encrusted with maharaja-meets-la dolce vita-style jewels. As a result, what the collection lacked in scope it made up for in the sort of sheer dazzle that Prada is so adept at providing"
This dress, which was look 23 on the runway that season, is the kind of piece that makes instant and long lasting fans of the Prada label. It is an amazing piece in every way. The cut is a simple shift that gently widens as it nears the hem with a scooped neckline and capped shoulders. It skims over the body and what it lacks in being form fitting it more then makes up for with its hint of exposure due to the chain links that hold the top and bottom pieces together! A second ring of plastic chain circles the hem as well. The fabric is custom and a stunning example and it is a gorgeous with the suggestion of a leopard sprawled across its front on a dusky olive backdrop. This dress appears to have never been worn and it's original retail was around the $2,500 mark. Excellent condition.
The dress is fully lined in a olive silky rayon and closes with a hidden set back zipper. Has the quality of finishes that one would expect from Prada. There is a small spot near the seam on one shoulder. Tagged a Prada 40

This Mignon gown reminds me of the Travilla pieces styled for Marilyn Monroe - it has that same type of feel! The skirt is extraordinary - it is knife pleated from top to bottom so there is a fabulous play on the lame thread that is woven through the fabric. As you move the light catches the thread in different ways and the effect is extraordinary. The top is a simple halter that hook up and around the neck, leaving the back entirely bare. Despite the base fabric being the same they have given it a completely different feel but adding both gold sequins and bead work all across the top and in a different pattern through the band that nips in the waist. The over all effect is so sexy!A definitive showstopper. Excellent condition.

This is a sexy, yet romantic gown and capelet set by Alfred Bosand that i just find to be divine. Made from a a beautiful and fine silk jersey of a pale cafe au lait color that has been screened with stunning red flowers on green vines. It has a sexy Grecian goddess feel to it with a plunging halter front and no back at all. The skirt cascades from the nipped in waist to the floor in a sleek column of silk that is not too full nor too slim. A matching capelet made of the same patterned silk fastens around the neck and is the perfect feminine finish. A really lovely and pretty set that is also very well made with hand finishes. Excellent condition
Fully lined in a nude silk through the bodice and a nude silk crepe through the skirt. The cape is unlined and has hook & eye at the neck. The dress closes with a back painted metal zipper. Hand finishes. Some very small and minor spots near hem here and there but nothing major or that detracts. Note the base color is slightly more of a creamy cafe au lait tone then photoed.

This gown is so spectacular and so striking - it is really an amazing piece. I can date it exactly as it seems to have been deaccessioned from the F.I.T. Museum and still has its original museum tag with the date and donor - a Mrs. Mortimer Solomon, who after a bit of research seems to have been a fabulous Palm Beach resident who was an avid client of Adolfo and who donated many pieces to both FIT and The Met. The gown is a silk taffeta with a bold spot print. The skirting is a red giraffe feel print on white with black edging. The bodice has a softer lack and white print. It is strapless and the bodice feels like ti was literally wrapped around the wearer and tied with that large bow at the front. The skirt is set just under the bust and gently widens to a beautiful Aline silhouette with a slight feel of fullness that the fabric choice assists with. It is very light and airy feeling when on but has a strong boned foundation. The tag is numbered but whether that was done at the atelier or at a later date is unknown. It is a true beauty! Excellent condition.
Fully lined on off white tissue silk and closes with a back painted metal zipper. Note there are two small storage spots that, because of the print really are not noticeable. One is barely visible on the bow just above the knot - super size the photo and you will still be hard pressed to find it and the other on the skirt and I have shown it.

Gianni loved Miami and in 1992 bought a house there. I believe this dress to have been produced somewhere in and around that time period when he would have been full on obsessed with his new city. It is a simple soft stretch cotton T short dress cut tank style with a scooped neck. The fabric is meant to stretch and hug your every curve so it is very sexy on. The print is fabulous and pure Gianni. It captures his view of Miami perfectly from the mirrored sunglasses on the front to the tropical fruits, suggestions of the vivid sunsets that splay across its entirety, to the supermodels that cavort across the back. Its insanely good and best of all - it still has its original Versace tag attached to the zipper pull. For the Versace collector this is heaven! Excellent condition

Such a sexy outfit and yet because of the colors still manages to feel fresh and girlie. The dress is made of a fine silk jersey that has those amazing tropical colors screened onto it in a overlapping leaf print. It is strapless and insanely short and the fabric is gathered along each side to create a soft ruched feel. The top and bottom hem are anchored by a flat hem with a matching print. And in the back, panels of fabric that are attached along each hip tie to create shape. It has its original super short cropped "jacket" that ties in the front to balance out the back tie. The fabric is also signed throughout. So perfect! Excellent condition

This is a beautiful and classic 1950s Ceil Chapman constructed from a wonderful, light metallic brocade - an unusual fabric choice for Chapman but one that works spectacularly. Chapman is renowned for being one of Marlyn Monroe's favorite designers and it is easy to see why - this dress is cut to highlight every curve and give you some if you need them. The dress really showcases Chapman's attention to detail and love of gathering and stitching the fabric. The skirt is fitted over the hips and then cut in a slight A-line . The waist is not defined by a vertical seam, rather it is shaped to nip in and then swoops up into the twisted knot of fabric that is hand draped just under the bust in a soft and sexy detail. This draws the eye up and gives the illusion of being even more lean and long then you are. More hand placed and stitched soft pleats along from the shoulder and around the bust. The cut combined with the divine fabric are just jaw dropping. Excellent, appears unworn condition.

This dress is just divine. Really one of the best cocktail dresses from this period I have had. The workmanship is very fine and it is surprisingly light weight - it is made of a fine, fine metallic lace and lined in nothing but a nude colored silk so it feels like air once on. The lace that makes up the exterior is beautiful - it is a fine chocolate colored lace, whose threads have been treated or coated with an iridescent metallic sheen that in the light goes from a deep copper hue to one that almost has a pink undertone to it. It is fitted to perfection. The bodice skims over you with the neckline and capped sleeves left with the lace edging. The waist is seam for shape and then skirt skims over the hips and it ends well above the knee but not so much as to take away its feeling of being high end. It is really an amazing dress and a testament to Beene's genius. Excellent condition.

Andre Courreges did such amazing work and this little two piece set is just fabulous. These would have been sold as mix and match but I acquired them as a set and think they deserve to stay that way. Plus it's an added bonus for the lucky girl who becomes the new owner as you can easily work these into your wardrobe as separates. This is the original label and both pieces have that instantly recognizable Courreges logo - it's at the neck of the sweater and adorns a pocket on the skirt. The skirt snaps down the front and completely opens - a signature of his. Love the two pockets that sit on each hip and the A-line cut. The pink linen feel fabric is balanced by the white top and captured at the sweaters neck with the pink collar. The sweater is a skinny ribbed knit and cut to hug every curve. The skirt is actually numbered so from his Couture line and the sweater RTW. Both pieces are on excellent condition
The skirt is fully lined in a white silky rayon and snaps to close. It is tagged a vintage Courreges 0. The top slips on and is a vintage Courreges B. The top has lots of stretch if needed.

This divine gown from Oscar de la Renta is made of a deep bottle green silk chiffon and has a decidedly Grecian goddess feel to it. The fine, scarf weight silk gown skims over the body and drapes and flows beautifully around the wearer. It is constructed with a draped and gathered front panel that sits atop the bodice just at the edge and the fabric flows out to the floor from there. A second panel is attached so that is drapes dramatically over one shoulder cascading to the floor in an almost train like fashion. It is all cut on the bias so the gown really has the most spectacular movement. I love how it is cut supermodel length and the bias cut allows the silk to just flow and waft around you in the most beautiful way. It is simple and classic but has a high impact feel at the same time. This is the dress for when you want to look and feel a mile tall and supermodel skinny!! Excellent, appears unworn condition.
Four full layers of fine, silk chiffon were used in the construction of the gown and it closes with a hidden back set zipper. Has a inner lightly boned silk bodice with a waist stay. Tagged a 6 but please go by actual measurements.
Note that at least 1-2" could be gained through the waist by removing or expanding the inner waist stay if you needed it. Hand finishes

This Miss V labeled gown from Valentino has a strong nod to the great bias cut pieces of the past but it was done in a stretch jersey with a touch of ribbing to give it that feel of mixing glamour and utilitarian sportswear. It is very Grecian goddess and very sexy. The skirt widens slightly as it falls to the floor and has a sexy side slit. The bodice is gorgeous with a twisted knot front. I love how the fabric knot sits just under the collarbones and exposes the shoulders. Deceptively simple off the hanger and yet very sexy on a real girl! Excellent condition
Unlined and slips on to wear with no closures. All the measurements have a touch of stretch above the highest listed measurement due to the fabric. These are the measurements with it stretched comfortably lying flat.

An absolutely gorgeous Pucci dress with a sublime and chic color palette in soft caramels and cafe au lait mixed with chocolates! Made of his signature lightweight silk jersey, it has a custom screened design that features a print that almost has an exotic skin feel to is. Sleeves that widen as they near the cuff and a bodice that skims over the bust and drops into a sexy plunge tops a sleek and simple skirt, This is a classic Pucci silhouette that is instantly recognizable and very sexy despite it covering you from head to toe. I love the contrasting bands at at the collar, cuffs and hem. The print and subtle colors all work with each other beautifully and this is a piece that will never go out of style or seem anything but appropriate no matter if worn for day or evening. The entire dress weighs ounces and is a perfect example of what the best Pucci's are all about! Excellent, museum quality condition.

I Have a Question
The Mac Tac label was produced by a parent company called Leonard Sunshine and in terms of print and quality it is right up there with Leonard or Pucci pieces in my book. This version is lovely with its soft base color and gorgeous floral print. It is made from a fluid nylon jersey that drapes and moves fabulously. The neckline has a deep and sexy plunge front and the waist is defined by the band and attached ties. Each sleeve balloons above the cinched wrist and has lots of fullness. The skirt sweeps to the floor and widens as it nears the hem. I love how the floral print is used to highlight the design of the dress. A scattering of flowers sweeps across the back and just off to the side of the back hem. At the front a large design anchors the skirt at the front as it trails up towards the waist. This is classic 1970s at its best. Excellent condition.

This silvered lavender brocade party dress from Suzy Perette is sublime. It's a true 50s masterpiece and a lovely lovely dress! The soft purple flowers that cover the dress are woven into the fabric and the contrast of threads and colors used seems to make them pop off the background. Really beautiful. The bodice is simple with a scooped neckline that has a pretty notch detail created by the way the sleeves are set in. The waist nips in and there are attached ties to cinch it in further. The skirt is full and has additional under-skirting to give it the fullness that you see. You could add a crinoline and make this ever more of an exaggeration if you wished. It is a lovely piece that really present wonderfully!
Fully lined with a white silky rayon and the skirt has a extra layer of tulle built in for fullness. Closes with a back painted metal zipper. There is a small repaired area under one arm that was well done and stable. It does not show when on but the dress has been priced accordingly. A wonderful and vibrant dress by Leonard. Leonard Paris is a label that was a contemporary of Pucci and very sought after. This one is a delicious combination of vivid turquoise on inky black backdrop with pops of silvered grey and white. It is cut to skim over the body and fall softly over the hips with a contrasting band of printed fabric to give you the idea of a defined waist. I love the soft draped neckline and the contrasting panel of design that finishes the cuffs and hem to pick up on the waist. It is super easy to wear and to travel with and the cut is very flattering. The dress is a strong statement piece and still so very chic now. Excellent, appears unworn condition.

This is a fabulous, early 1980s example of Courreges that has all the feel and mod appeal of an earlier piece! It is in excellent, condition and really a great piece with lots of appeal. It is cut in a classic shift with lots of great seaming details to instantly identify it as a Courreges. It has those classic half cap sleeves and the seams are emphasized. Love how they are set on an angle at the chest and meets the notched neckline - a familiar detail that Courreges was famous for. The skirt widens as it nears the hem and great little slit pockets, detailed with a fabric strip sit on either side of the hip to give it a true sixties feel. Excellent condition

This is a great seventies piece with lots of great detailing. The fabric is a washable poly jersey which makes it easy to travel with and very comfortable to wear (and dance in). The skirt is swingy and sexy and is set just a touch high into the waist. The bodice has an amazing draped and gathered effect. In addition is is cut wide and low so you get a hint of collar bone showing when you wear it. Each sleeve is cut full above its elastic gathered wrist for a wonderful ballooned affect. I love the graphic feel of this little black strapless dress from Geoffrey Beene with its two saucy cream felt details on the bust. The body is a slim column of black silk wool crepe and the fabric has a slight bit of texture to it so as you get closer it gets more visually interesting. On the exterior it seems like a simple sheath but inside there is a full built in bustier of silk and boning that gives you a very structured feel as you wear it. The two little stripes on the bust mimic pocket tops but are actually inset fabric detailing. Excellent, seemingly unworn condition.
The inner corset is made of silk and is boned. The rest of the dress is not lined but has ribbon edged seams. It closes with a hidden set back zipper and the inner corset has its own separate zipper.

Similar to the silk version I have had of this dress, this sleek black jersey dress is the epitome of chic. The finish is incredible and it is very well tailored, beautifully constructed and the jersey it is constructed from lends itself perfectly to the draping required in those incredible sleeves. Every line is a study in thought and detailing. The neck is high and the bodice cut to skim over the torso. The sleeves are full and balloon to to a four button cuff. It is a testament to the detail during this time period that each button hole on the cuff is properly finished. The waist is cut somewhat loose but it has its original belt that nips in the waist and gives the illusion of the tiniest possible waist. The skirt has an immense amount of fabric and yet it sits perfectly without adding bulk. Really a fabulous Norell day piece. Very chic, very rare and in excellent condition.
Constructed of a fine black jersey and closes a back painted metal zipper. Each cuff closes with four buttons. The belt is stamped Norman Norell on the back.

I love these sequin pieces from the 1970s and they way they glimmer with a life of their own when on. By laying each sequin flat and side by side it allows the light to catch the fabric in the most wonderful of ways. The skirt is cut in a generous A-line so you get lots of drape and movement. It flows up to the the bodice with a nipped in waist but no seam there to break the eye. The neckline is halter style leaving the back dramatically bare. So sexy. It comes with its original jacket and this is cut slim and long with two chic pocjets on each hip. The color of both pieces is a deep navy. A real beauty and in excellent, looks to have been unworn, condition!
The dress is fully lined in deep navy stretch jersey and the jacket in blue silk. It closes with a low back painted zipper and the halter hooks around the neck with hook & eye. All sequins appear to be present

This is a fabulous 1970s Leonard caftan feel maxi dress in the most gorgeous palette of bright blue flowers on a black silk jersey backdrop. I love the loose cut through the skirt and body that flows to the ground and gives it that loose and easy feel. It also has its original belt that you can use to cinch in the waist if you prefer more shape. The silk chiffon on the sleeves gives it a beautiful airy feel and each sleeve is extremely full, billowing poufs of chiffon until they narrow in at each elastic wrist cuff. The entire edge of the upper bodice is elastic so you can war it as a soft scoop or completely off the shoulders to make it a little more sexy. It also has a matching scarf that I have styled here as a head scarf for a little extra glamor! Excellent condition.

Sequins have rapidly gone from evening only to be worn almost anytime of the day - something that seems a new trend but Halston was championing this in the mid and late 1970s and who can argue with one of the greatest American designers? And to showcase just how special this dress is a twin of it is currently on display at the Halston and Warhol: Silver and Suede Exhibit (picture form the exhibit on the left). Halston had the fabric for these hand made in India and it is a combination of a fine silk chiffon densely covered in iridescent cream sequins mixed with pink sequins. Through the sequins are curving panels of faux pearls densely packed together to form organix swatchs of movement across the dress. That effect once on and you move is just amazing. It slips on and falls into place in a somple sheath. The cut and construction are what one would expect from one of the most eminent American designers. Excellent condition.
Fully lined in a pale nude tissue silk. It slips on to wear. There is perhaps some small areas of missing sequins but they can easily be replaced by stealing some from under the hems. It presents as perfect due to the thousands on the fabric and iridescent quality.

If you have been looking for that insane, over the top statement dress - this just might be it. It is made of his signature printed silk in a strong bright combination of purple with multi-colour dots of color scattered over it. The shoulders are strong and made even more so with padding and seaming that highlights them. Below the shoulder the bodice is loose fitting and the sleeves set wide into the sides and then they narrow into slim, zipped cuffs. The waist cinches in and the original belt made of a matching fabric is present to accentuate it even further. The skirt is cut to be short and fitted - its that perfect eighties silhouette that still works now. Excellent, appears unworn, condition.

What a gorgeous maxi dress from Hanae Mori that is very striking with those extravagant sleeve! The base color is a delicious shade of pale purple with soft pastel flowers worked into the print - so flattering on almost any skin tone. The floral print is screened onto a chiffon fabric that has tiny stripes of gold thread running through it in vertical lines. This gives the dress a subtle glimmer that is very pretty.! It is cut with an elastic through the waist - so it is very easy and comfortable to wear. I can imagine this with sandals for day and then a stacked heel at night. You could also belt it for extra shape through the waist as it is cut quite loose and easy. The bodice is cut simply with a unadorned scooped collar. It is those sleeves that create all the visual interest - three tiers of ruffles adorn each and create a dramatic silhouette. Excellent condition.
The dress is fully lined in a dyed to match lavender silk and slips on to wear with a tie at the back of the neck above a keyhole.

This is an amazing combination of that 1950s aesthetic that Suzy Perette was known for and the more modern eye that Victor Costa brought to the table when he designed for the company from 1965-1973. It is made of that perfect fine 60s wool jersey that is not so light that it can't hold a shape, nor too heavy that it feel cumbersome to wear. The cut is just fabulous. Very minimalist and chic. It is sleeveless with a simple bodice that has vertical seams to form the shape of the bust. Note how those seams perfectly line up under the waist seam with the darts in the skirt. The waist nips in and it has its original belt to cinch it on for shape. The skirt is fantastic - lots of volume and I love the two huge pockets that sit on each hip. So chic! Excellent condition.
Fully lined in a black silky rayon and the hem's seam is ribbon edged. Closes with a fine back metal zipper. The belt is in excellent shape as well.

Very chic and easy to wear dress with a definitive caftan influence despite its shorter cut. The fabric is absolutely lovely - it is a black silk chiffon with a gold stripe running through it. What is remarkable it that the entire upper portion of the dress has been formed into vertical, flat knife pleats and this is done so that each pleat's edge falls exactly along the edge of the striping. It is all so perfectly lined up that you don't even really notice this until it is on your hands and you realize that is how it is constructed. Just below the waist they release and that is how the fuller lower portion of the dress is created. The sleeves are left just above the wrist and they are cut wide and straight. It is very light weight as it is i lined in a very fine silk chiffon and a dream to wear. Excellent condition.
Fully lined with a nude chiffon through the upper bodice and a black chiffon through the skirt. The sleeves are left unlined. It closes with a button at the back of the neck and then there is an open slit to just above the waist with three more buttons set there.

A fine opaque silk gazaar cocktail dress by Bill Blass that demonstrates just why he was the favored designer by the kind of lady that threw a cocktail party on a regular basis. It is just spectacular in every way! The skirt is very full and poufed with the volume you see pictures achieved solely through the cut of the cloth and the way it is set into the waist combined with the way the fabric having enough body to hold the shape. The waist nips in and the bodice is sculpted with a dramatic cut out at the neck that reveals the upper bodice and collar bone. I love the way the neckline almost acts like a piece of jewelery in the way that is frames the shoulders and face. If you have been looking for the absolute perfect black cocktail dress look no farther! Excellent, appears unworn condition.

This is a fabulous and early 1980s example of Courreges that has all the feel and mod appeal of an earlier piece! It is in excellent, unworn condition and really a great little dress! Cut in a classic shift with lots of great details to instantly identify it as a Courreges. It has those classic half cap sleeves and the seams are emphasized. Love how they are set on an angle at the chest and meets the notched neckline - a familiar detail that Courreges was famous for. The skirt widens as it nears the hem and great triangle shaped pocket, each detailed with a button sit on either side of the hip to give it a true sixties feel. Excellent condition

Self backed fabric and closes with a side nylon & metal zipper. Note the color has a slightly deeper blue in person. Super fun eighties dress by Lilli Diamond has that exuberance that the decade was known for. The bodice is strapless and fitted ad is a combination of purple and deep blue lace as the base with a white ribbon sewn over that in the curvy design you see. The skirt is so great - white chiffon is set in big vertical ruffles spaces close together and this creates that tremendous volume and airiness. It's sexy and fun and a great 80s take on a fifties silhouette. Excellent condition.

This dress is absolutely darling! It is impossible to look at it and not feel happy! This is his diffusion line form the 80s but it was so cute I could not resist and well most of the pieces form this particular part of his empire were not as fabulous as the main line was, I think this particular dress stands up well. The top has a halter neck that leave the back bare. The waist cinches in and it has its original belt so you can cinch it more if you wish. The skirt is delightfully full with its own inner crinolines. The fabric adds to the charm - the checked black and white act as a base and then over the skirt vivid pink and yellow wide grosgrain ribbon is stitched on a wide crossed pattern. Excellent, appears unworn condition

This is a fabulous maxi dress that can go from beach to cocktails to dancing! Made from a French nylon it has been dyed a brilliant orange. If you have not encountered a piece in this fabric before - think high end swimsuit fabric! This fabric wears amazingly - you can literally roll it in a ball in your suitcase and wear it with a quick steam as soon as you arrive to where you are going! It can get wet, it always looks right and crisp and it's sexy as hell. A plunging triangle cut halter bodice sits above a high, defined waistline and the skirt falls to the floor in a widening A-line. It's fabulous and it's Miss Dior. Excellent condition!

This is the dress for when you need a bright pop of color to brighten your day! The color is better in person then how it photoed - its like a crisp tangerine coral with that pretty print of deeper corals, pinks and greens popping off the base. The fabric is a poly so will travel well and the cut is also simple and easy to wear. The top is cut simple and sleek with a pretty keyhole built into the neckline. The skirt has some fullness to it and flares out prettily when you move. The belt is original to the dress and is a thick braided cord that is dyed to match. Lovely! Excellent condition.

All Treacy Lowe designs begin with the fabric - that was essential to her design process and it shows. She used the lightest, finest, tissue silks and chiffons that you could possibly use before you have nothing in your hands at all. It means that a dress like this weighs a few ounces and feels like air wafting around you when you have it on. I love the way that thatched elastic has been made a part of the design - a thick band of it circles the lower waist and wraps around the upper hip for shape and definition. It is picked up again above each cuff. The skirt flows out from under the detailing at the waist line in yards and yards of silk that drape to the ground. It has a tie belt that I have used in the photos for extra shape but you could leave it more loose and easy as well. The sleeves are left unlined and billow above the elastic detailing and ruffle at the cuff. I love the gypsy influenced neckline with its tie and keyhole. The print is hand screened and the silk the finest Indian silk you could get at that time. Excellent, appears unworn condition.
Fully line in a tissue silk hand dyed to match the exterior. The sleeves are left unlined. Closes with a back painted metal zipper and has hook & eye at the waist to hide the zipper.

Treacy Lowe designed around fabric. She used the lightest, finest, near impossible to work with, tissue silks and sheer silk chiffon's as well as wonderful light polished silks like this that took color just wonderfully. Using fabrics on that level meant that a dress like this weighs an astonishing few ounces. The print is exotic and vivid with contrasting borders worked into the design at each cuff and the hem. The sleeves are fabulous and each widens as it reached its hem. I love how she used a lighter feeling print on the sleeves to give them a airy feel and to highlight their width. The print is hand screened onto the silk and the design is still brilliant in hue. It has a cross over closure at the neck and through the body it is cut long and lean. You can wear it loose and easy or use the original tie belt to add shape. Made of the finest woven Indian silk you could get at that time. Excellent, appears unworn condition.

What a dramatic set! Originally meant as a lingerie this has become one of Zandra's signature pieces and I have seen girls wear this out as a full on evening ensemble. It is two separate pieces made of a fine synthetic silk that is hand washable and comprised of an in inner dress and a floor length, dramatic pleated pieces that just screams Zandra Rhodes I have seen this done in a pattern, in solid black and we have had it in a peachy pink but this is the first mint green one I have seen. Zandra is renowned for her use of design and pattern and this piece really allows her absolute genius for design shine through on its own. The cut of the outer jacket is astounding - tight knife pleats on bias cut fabric that are sculpted to form that incredible back and draped shoulder. An extravagant ruffle runs down the front and it ties just under that ruffle so the line is not broken. The under dress is a sheath of pale silk with a ruffle piece at the top and bottom. Very versatile set. Excellent condition
Both pieces are unlined. The dress slips over the head, the jacket ties at the front. There is a slight loosening to the pleats on the over piece but this happens to every one of these that I have seen so is not considered a flaw

This Holly Harp is a little extra special as it has its original tag on it with its selling price of $935! Sometimes I think people forget just how high end vintage pieces were when they originally hit the sales floor and this brings that to light! The print is a bright floral in a multitude of colors making it the perfect pop of color for spring and summer. Made of alight silk chiffon with those colors screened onto it and a secondary pattern woven through the fabric in a glossy slipper satin. This give those fabulous tiers of fabric lots of movement and drape. Padded shoulders give it shape at the top and the body of the dress falls in a loose tunic style cut. Both the front and back plunge in a V and the front is anchored with a rosette made of the same fabric. These little signature dresses of hers cover a magnitude of flaws and are so amazing on and easy to wear! Excellent condition!
The base of the dress under the tiers is a white jersey it has some drape and stretch. It slips on to wear. Tagged a Small. Original Hally Harp hang tag

This 90s Oscar de la Renta cocktail dress is absolutely a stunner! Made entirely of silk chiffon is weighs almost nothing so when on feels like a dream! Layers of silk make up the body and in between the outermost and innermost is a layer of nude silk. This gives the body of the dress extra depth and picks up the slight pattern that runs through the top layer of silk. The sleeves and upper shoulder are left semi-sheer and the waist is highlight with a pretty black ribbon. The same ribbon detail sits just above each ruffled area on the sleeve. At the back they dress has an open slit that runs from the back of the neck to the zipper at the waist. The wow factor of this piece is definitely the exorbitant use of ruffles on the sleeves and skirt. When you look closely you see that each ruffle is set and placed by hand! They are set vertically and the resulting effect is amazing! The overlong sleeves and styling are very dramatic and on a real girl will work and present even better then how it has photoed on a mannequin! Excellent condition.
The main body of the dress is made of three fine layers of silk chiffon. Two black layers with a nude one in the middle. It closes with a hidden set low zipper and there is a hook & eye at the back of the neck.

Jean Louis is famous for having designed the dress worn by Marilyn Monroe in 1962 for JFK's Birthday party when she sang Happy Birthday, Mr. President. His dresses where very expensive - in the thousands even in the 50s and 60s and they are done to couture levels. His attention to detail and the exquisite craftsmanship and masterful techniques, especially in earlier pieces are a joy to see and are clearly apparent in this stunning dress. The Body of the dress is constructed of a silk chiffon that is set in sharp knife pleats running vertically down the bodice and skirt. A panel of silk edges the squared off neckline. Each sleeve is silk chiffon and finished in a 6" panel of fine lace. They widen out as they near the cuffs . That same lace adorns the top two outer layers of the skirt in a full 11" panel! The lace is very fine and appears to be hand made and has been stiffened so also acts as a very slight weight to hold the drape of the skirt and sleeves perfectly in place. It is very, very beautiful. The waist is nipped in with the original belt. It is a classic and exceptionally well made! It literally took my breathe away when I first saw it. Excellent condition.
The bodice is lined in a hand set fine black silk. The sleeves are left unlined. The skirt is made of three layers. The very innermost layer is a silk crepe that is unlined but with finished inner seams and ribbon edged hem. The top two layers over this are silk chiffon and both are finished with a lace panel around the hem. It closes with a fine black painted metal zipper. The belt was a little big for the mannequin so I did not picture it on. It has a hook buckle and is covered in a black silk.

This is a wonderful deep blue Norman Norell in a light wool jersey. It is the epitome of what he represented - well tailored, beautifully constructed clothing in the best possible fabric of the day. This is a dress that could be presented on any runway of today and feel as relevant now as when it was constructed. Every line is a study in thought and detailing. The neck is high and the bodice skims over the torso with slim cut sleeves. The waist just skims over the torso but you can cinch it further with the original belt that has a big gold dramatic buckle. The skirt has a generous amount of fabric and yet it sits perfectly and slim without adding bulk. Very chic, very rare and in excellent condition.

Absolutely gorgeous Malcolm Starr dress & jacket with the best fabric! A quilted red and blue fabric with a sort of Americana "bandana" feel is used on the skirt and matching little jacket. The dress's bodice is made of a deep blue fabric that has a linen like feel. This tops an amazing A-line cut skirt done in that wonderful quilted fabric. The skirt is quite full and the fabric allows it to keep that wonderful shape. The matching jacket is darling with little cap sleeves and a box cut that ends exactly at the waist. Lovely lines, well made and a stunning details - all add up to really wonderful dress and jacket set. Excellent condition.

You can never go wrong with a Dior. They are exquisitely made and their simplicity hides masterful technique and construction. This little blue number is no exception and hides some wonderful subtle details that tell of the high quality of the dress. It buttons down the front to just under the waist with thick buttons the same shade as the light wool fabric. These buttons are picked up as decoration on each sleeve. Its a nod to the quality done in those days that even though the sleeve buttons are only decorative, the buttonholes themselves are still all properly finished. I love the way the skirt is set with its two flat pleats on either side of the front closure. The neck is simple and the skirt has only the slightest touch of fullness. The label marks it as made for export to the Japanese market at the time, a bit of a rarity to find! Excellent condition
Fully lined in a matching deep blue, fine grade silk. It closes with the buttons at the front, with hidden fabric covered snaps. Top stitched seams and hand finished. All buttons holes are properly finished. Very well made. Note that it was almost too small on my mannequin - when on a smaller girl the front closure lines up exactly of course.

Donna Karan can really knock it out of the park sometimes and this one is a home run. The fabric is a silver toned silk organza that floats over a shorter sexy inner dress whose exterior is the same fabric. This gives it dimension and depth and rally plays on the texture of the fabric. It is a classic one shoulder silhouette with the Goddess edge created by the draped overlay. I have styled it so you can get an idea of the amount of fabric that flows from the shoulder and trails well past the hem in two panels - one from the front and one from the back. When actually on these move around the body much more as they are light and will respond to the wearers movements. Very chic. Excellent condition.

Whenever a piece is bias cut it is instantly a little more special. The way it drapes and falls on the body is different than a piece not cut this way. It also shows a level of competence and skill, especially with a fabric like silk. On this twp piece gown the top overlay is almost like a long, lean tunic that lies over an inner skirt in a matching fabric. It is cut with angles in mind, a trait that Trigere used often. The hem dips into a point at the front and back and the neckline mirrors this cut. I love that under each arm this same V shape is used rather then the expected curve. A matching belt covered in the same fabric gives shape, though you could easily wear it without the belt if you want a more caftan feel. Amazing grade of silk used and a beautiful soft dove grey. This piece was custom made for its owner and is quite wonderful! Excellent condition.
Both pieces are lined with a pale grey silk chiffon. The top of the inner skirt to past the hips is a silky rayon so cant be worn on its own. It has an elastic waist. Body conscious dressing was all the rage in the 80s and though this may not be a piece you typically think of when you think Zandra it is a definite representation of its time. Made of a teal stretch, fine, wool, it is cut to fit an accentuate your curves. The shoulders are strong with light padding and the front cut into a plunging V. The back is open from neck to waist and the skirt hugs your every curve. Love the over-sized "ribbing" effect created by the large plat pleats that run down the dress. Excellent condition

Lovely Jean Paul Gaultier dress with a beautiful Degas ballerina print on the outermost layer. The cut is that perfect loose easy to wear statement piece with lots of volume and play on proportions. The fabric is his signature super light fine mesh and its lined on a solid version of the same. The neckline is elastic so you can wear it high or pull it off and down one shoulder or leave both bare. Though I have shown it full and loose, you can easily style this with a belt and even play with the length once belted. Great pieces that is very versatile and that print is amazing! Excellent. appears unworn condition.
Fully lined in a matching solid green net and slips on to wear with elastic though the neckline and each cuff. Tagged a Medium. The fabric is very stretchy so all measurements are just flat and un-stretched in any way.

Beautiful and vibrant green Valentino has an unusual but fabulous cut. The top is almost cape like in its fullness and drapes beautifully over the pencil cut skirt. The opening fr the arm are cut along the seam and this in itself creates an interesting drape to the top. To keep it feminine and very Valentino a bejewled belt cinches in the waist. The belt is a twisted pewter toned snake that is completely covered with inset green rhinestones! Love it! Excellent condition.
Fully lined in a fine silk and closes at the side with a combination of a zipper and fabric covered snaps. The belt snaps to close with large hidden fabric covered snaps. At some point one set of the snaps were moved but this of course does not show when on. There is some very fine light snagging to the fabric that is only noticeable on close inspection. This is inherent to this fabric as it ages.Priced accordingly
