Stunning 1970s Yves Saint Laurent Metallic Blue Thread & Black Embroidered Brocade Crop Jacket

This incredible YSL jacket would date to the late 1970s, perhaps early 1980s.
It was made under the creative direction of Yves Saint Laurent.
The jacket was integral to every YSL collection and the ones like this that are especially ornate are among the most prize by collectors.
The silhouette is classic Yves Saint Laurent from this time frame.
The collar is neat and small. It can be worn flipped up to frame the face as I have photoed it or flipped down as it does have a backing of a soft black velvet.
The shoulders have light padding for shape that extends into the cap of the shoulder to form that structured shape that you see. The sleeves are long and simple and have a cotton braid edging at their cuffs. This is a signature edging that Yves used throughout the years.
The shape through the body is boxy so it is very easy to fit. On a smaller frame it would feel more oversized and on a larger frame it has the room to accommodate curves.
It closes down the front with five matte black buttons. The jacket even has an extra button still sewn along the inner seam. The edging of the front and around the hem has the same cotton braiding finish as the sleeves.
It is very well-made and an exceptional piece of YSL.
The jacket is fully lined in a black silky feeling fabric with panels of black velvet along the inner edge behind the buttons. There is an extra button present. The box cut should allow it to fit a range of sizes. It appears to have been worn very little if at all.

payment two of the remaining balance will be billed two weeks from the date of the initial deposit.
The final payment is due two weeks after the second payment and shipping will be billed on this invoice as well.
items less then $500, or that are on sale, require a 50% deposit with the final payment due in two weeks from the date of deposit
