Fantastic 1970s Brown Velvet and Gold Buckle Gucci Clutch
This little clutch by Gucci is fantastic. It is made of a soft plush velvet with the Gucci logo cut into the velvet. This gives it both an instantly recognizable status but also a great texture. It is a simple shape that slightly widens out towards the bottom. It has a flap that closes over the bag and an attached heavy gold toned chain wraps around the button with a buckle clasp acting as the closure at the front. The way it closes is quite clever - part of the buckle swings to the side. Excellent condition
Inside it is leather and stamped with the Gucci logo. It has a zipped side pocket and two slip pockets and still has its original mirror. There are loops in the inside top flaps so you could add a chain to it if you wish. The gold hardware shows some patina and light wear/ rubbing off here and there and light scratches. These are consistent with age and normal wear.
