This is an original Christian Lacroix that is just fantastic
The suit was made under the creative direction of Christian Lacroix.
This is a stunning jacket and skirt set done in a red and coral quilted fabric that mixes the way the quilt has been laid out across the two pieces. On the jacket it is more of a abstract grid and the skirt is an abstract oversized feeling 'dot' print.
The jacket is a classic cut of his from this time period. It features a wider set neckline that curves down into a V at the front. The shoulders are rounded and the sleeves cut in a more straight manner. It is meant to feel more slightly more oversized through the upper bodice. The waist is shaped to be cinched in and then the hips flare out from there. This cut gives you a fantastic hourglass feel.
The front closes with a zipper in a matching colour and then over that are three gold toned metal "frog knots" that hook to close beneath their bejewelled centres. These add a spectacular bit of whimsy and elegance to the suit and make it thoroughly Lacroix.
The skirt has a band at the waist and then it is cut to just above or at the knee depending on your height. Pockets sit on each hip and the pockets add a little bit of shape around the upper hip. From there it flares out to the hem in the perfect little A-line.
I love the contrast between the two quilting pattern/prints. Lacroix was a master at combining prints and textures. This suit leaves no doubt about his talent.
The jacket and skirt are both fully lined in a red silk. The jacket zips to close and then the gold metal frog knots hook to close over that. The skirt closes at the side with a zipper and hooks at the waist. The shoulders have light padding. It appears to have been worn very little if at all.

payment two of the remaining balance will be billed two weeks from the date of the initial deposit.
The final payment is due two weeks after the second payment and shipping will be billed on this invoice as well.
items less then $500, or that are on sale, require a 50% deposit with the final payment due in two weeks from the date of deposit
