Perfect for a wedding or for the collector, this turn of the century gown is exquisite. It is very high quality construction and the lace work is unbelievable, there are several designs all worked into one glorious masterpiece. I have attempted tp photo it in a way that you can see the lace work to its best advantage. The dress is made from hand placed and then hand stitched, Battenberg lace, which is a lace made from braided tape. What is wonderful about these pieces is that there are no seams - the placing of the lace creates and forms the shape. These were constructed on dress forms to match their owners figures! It has as slight train, wonderful rounded sleeves and the silhouette follows and skims over the body! A very talented woman would have spent hours upon hours upon hours to create this garment and it shows in every stitch. It is of museum quality and quite fantastic.

The dress is unlined and closes with a curved series of hook and eye combos along the back that are offset to one side. While there may be a broken thread here or there is is in near mint condition for its age and is of museum quality. Please remember that pieces of this age will have a natural patina and should not be expected to be absolutely perfect (though this is close)! It is after all almost 100 years old

Note that antique and twenties pieces are final sale. They will be packed exceedingly well and we only sell pieces that will stand up to the stress of shipping, however, having pieces potentially shipped multiple times through multiple customs and countries is too hard on garments that are historically important and deserve to be treated wil love and care. Please purchase accordingly.

We require three equal payments of the layaway total. You will be invoiced for the first amount upon request
payment two of the remaining balance will be billed two weeks from the date of the initial deposit.
The final payment is due two weeks after the second payment and shipping will be billed on this invoice as well.
