    • The amazing dress is almost certainly from the Spring or Fall 1992 collection. Charlotte Gainsbourg were a very similar one in 1991 and it was probably one that was made for her in advance and then he did more for the runway later that year after she had worn it.
    • It was made under the creative direction of Yves Saint Laurent
    • We have included the Fall 1992 ad campaign with a very similar dress in leopard so that you can see how it looks once on the body.
    • This is also the actual dress that was worn by Connie Britton to the 2024 Governor Awards.
    • The dress is made of a beautiful deep pink soft cut velvet with a secondary pattern running between the velvet where it was stamped out to show the black underneath. It gives the dress this phenomenal pattern that covers the entire dress from shoulder to hem.
    • The bust extends up to a wide gathered strap that curves over the shoulder to become a part of the back. This leaves the other shoulder bare and exposed. I love the added soft velvet bow on the top of the shoulder on this one. It gives it a little extra added detail and interest there.
    • It drapes and skims over the bust and curves in at the waist. The fabric has all been gathered to one side of the waist. If you preferred the bow on the waist instead of the shoulder it would be easy to move it. Then from there it curves back out over the the hips. 
    • The skirt falls to the floor from there and widens out with a bit of a flare as it near the hem. On one side of the skirt there is a high side slit so that when you move or sit you get a flash of bare leg. The slit actually goes right to the knot at the waist but it is overlapped over itself part way down so you are not fully exposed.
    • The bias cut allows the body of the dress to drape as needed and makes it is easier to fit.
    • The dress is fully lined in matching pink and closes with a hidden set side set zipper.

    • Excellent condition

    Bust: to 19" flat across from side seam to side seam
    Waist: 14-16" flat across from side seam to side seam
    Hips: to 22" flat across from side seam to side seam
    Total link: 62.5" from top of shoulder to hem with 2" turned under

    • items less then $500, or that are on sale, require a 50% deposit with the final payment due in two weeks from the date of deposit
