Prettiest 1970s Hollys Harp Bright Printed Silk Tiered V Front & Back Plunge Dress w Layered Tiers
Holly Harp opened a shop LA in 1968 where she created custom clothing under the Holly's Harp label. When she started designing her clothing she tended to create her clothing out of a hodge-podge of new and old materials but once she opened her shop her designs became more slinky, and sexy. They began to reference the glamour of Old Hollywood and she preferred the bias cut feel of the 1930s. She had a huge following of Hollywood and Music stars; Liza Minelli, Diana Ross, Ali McGraw, Sally Field, Janis Joplin and Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane were all huge fans.
The print on this one is a bright floral in a multitude of colours making it the perfect pop of colour for spring and summer. I have even had one in the shop that came in with its original price tag of $935 which at that point of time was an extraordinarily high amount for a dress. It just goes to show you the quality and power in the market that she had at her height of popularity. The dress is made of a light silk with those gorgeous colours screened onto it and a secondary pattern woven through the fabric in a glossy weave in the silk. The lightness of the silk gives the tiers of fabric lots of movement and drape. The body of the dress falls in a loose tunic style cut that is easy to wear Both the front and back plunge in a deep V. Excellent condition

- payment two of the remaining balance will be billed two weeks from the date of the initial deposit.
- The final payment is due two weeks after the second payment and shipping will be billed on this invoice as well.
- items less then $500, or that are on sale, require a 50% deposit with the final payment due in two weeks from the date of deposit
