1950s Silk Strapless Beaded Bow Dress
This is a lovely feminine silk satin cocktail dress in a pretty hue of a tinted cream. There Is just the faintest of a gold green to the color - here it looks slightly more of a beige but the color is richer feeling in person. The skirt is cut in a slightly exaggerated A-line so has that fullness feel of the fifties but really makes you look long and lean. The bodice is strapless and has the most lovely ties bow detailing almost like a delightful and perfect present! Very light, matching colored beads are scattered over the bow and the edge of the strapless bodice is finished with matching colored braiding. Very romantic feeling and pretty. I love the bit of extra fabric detailing at the back skirt too! Excellent condition!
Bust: 16" flat across the back from side seam to side seam- Approx B cup though a bit flexible
Waist: 13" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Bodice length: approx 8.5" from top of strapless bodice to waist seam
Skirt length: 29" from waist seam to hem
Unlined and lightly boned through the bodice. It closes with a back painted metal zipper. There is a tiny dot of a darker colored dot at the back of the skirt at hip level that does not detract from the overall beauty - I am being pretty picky - Priced accordingly.
