1985 Numbered Jean-Claude Jitrois Leather Jacket
The embroidery on this white leather jacket is exquisite. Heavy applique of tightly woven embroidery create a stunning pop of green against the supple white leather. The cut is my favorite of all Jitrois work - it wraps and ties, so you can cinch the waist as tiny as you wish and then the jacket curves up from that waist with wide set sleeves and rounded seamless shoulders that narrow to a skinnier cuff. This shape allows that stunning angel wing embroidery work to take the stage front and center. It is simple but dramatic and even though this is a thoroughly eighties silhouette it feel shocking fresh and modern still. The level of work and masterful cut play a large part of that! The tag is numbered 1138. Excellent condition
