Prettiest 1960s Emilio Pucci Pale Pastel Curving Print Silk Jersey Dress w Contrasting Border
Emilio Pucci is one of my favorite designers and every single dress is a work of art. His colours and prints are mixed with a masterful hand and when you get a good piece of Pucci it tends to be a piece that you can wear for a lifetime. This one is gorgeous with its pretty pastel colourway and print. I love it.
The dress is made out of one of his signature lightweight silk jerseys and this was a fabric that he preferred because of the way it moved and held colour. It is screened with one of his custom prints that he has laid out onto the fabric in a very deliberate way to highlight the cut and line of these dresses. This one is the prettiest combination of pale pastels that cover the dress from head to toe. The colours are all mixed into a curving print that is so pretty and fresh feeling. The sleeves are cut to just past the elbow. The bodice is cut to skim over the bust with a high scooped neckline. It falls past the waist to a band set at the top of the hips and this gives it an easy feel that I love. It skims past the hips and widens out to flare out a touch to the hem. The cut and fabric allow it to not be super fitted but still highlight the body underneath. The colour mix is gorgeous. Pale pastels are mixed perfectly to create the design that you see and if you love it in the photos it is even better in person. One of the signatures on his pieces are those bands of a contrasting print and on this dress he used that to define the neckline, waist, the cuffs and around the bottom hem. A double band of that print is also set to run down the full length of the back of the dress. The entire dress weighs ounces. Excellent condition with notes below
Unlined and closes with a back painted metal zipper. Tagged a vintage Pucci 10. The fabric is a silk jersey and does have some stretch. I have given the comfortable measurements laying flat. I see some tiny spots on this one here and there and a cluster of faint marks on the back shoulder. Please see the photos after the label shot. Hand finished throughout.

SIZE GUIDE
Please review all measurements carefully. More often than not, vintage garments do not fit any size category exactly. If in doubt, measure a garment of your own that fits and is a similar cut and compare it's measurements to the listed measurements below.
