1977 La Mendola Jersey & Chiffon Maxi
It's always especially lovely when you can specifically date a piece and finding a Bergdorf's tag inside the seam with the specific date written on it and the client name too - fabulous! The dress is fabulous as well! A feather like abstract print is done in shades of blue on this stunning maxi dress. The La Mendola label is highly collectible and sought after - when the duo behind the label where designing in Rome it was girls like Elizabeth Taylor and Rita Hayworth that were buying! The Italian shop closed in 1974 but they continued to supply American Shops like Bergdorf's with special orders like this one for a couple more years. This might even be one of the last gowns made! The inner dress is fitted and and long and lean with a chiffon overlay coming out just under each arm and going all the way around. The original wide fabric sash is present - you can use it as a belt or a head scarf. Its an amazing piece and in excellent condition.

Here's how deposits work on a standard layaway:
- We require three equal payments of the layaway total. You will be invoiced for the first amount upon request
- payment two of the remaining balance will be billed two weeks from the date of the initial deposit.
- The final payment is due two weeks after the second payment and shipping will be billed on this invoice as well.
- items less then $500, or that are on sale, require a 50% deposit with the final payment due in two weeks from the date of deposit
