1960s Turquoise Barocco Silk Dress Set

This killer 4 piece set that is comprised of a silk dress, vest, belt and scarf is a beauty! Rocco Barocco is a famous Italian designer that is still designing today under the Rocco Barocco label. That is his second line however, with his first foray into fashion executed under the more simple Barocco label of which this dress is from. This label only existed from 1968 to 1974 and pieces were extremely high end and well made, demi-couture RTW really! The entire dress is hand finished and immaculately made. The silk used is a silk twill and on par with Hermes silk. The vest is a silk finished to have the look of a polished linen - just stunning! I love the bright color and the bold B logo that covers the fabric. The sleeves are full and cuff at the wrist and the dress skims over the body and then has a kicky flare to it through the skirt. You can layer the vest over it or wear it separate. Really a high quality outfit and so versatile! Excellent condition!

The dress is lined in a turquoise tissue silk with the sleeves left unlined. The lining and finishes are hand set. It closes with a back, hand set, painted metal zipper. The buttons holes on each cuff are properly done and the buttons fabric covered. The vest is finished in the same blue fabric as the front detailing and is so well done that f not for the label and buttons you could flip it inside out! Comes with the original slip belt that is in great condition and a matching neck or head scarf.
