1960s Oscar de la Renta Plaid Wool Coat
This is one of the coolest, chicest coats done in a fantastic, multi-hued plaid mohair like wool. This is an early piece from the Oscar De La Renta Boutique. It has a fantastic exaggerated Peter Pan collar and a double row of green buttons - it is almost ea coat style mixed with a trench. A tie belt cinches in the waist and it has big front pockets that fold over and really add an interesting detail. It has a high back vent and just a bot of swing as it nears the hem. Really wonderful! It is an amazing and rare piece of fashion history and in excellent condition.
Bust: 19" flat across the inside back from side seam to side seam
Waist: 20" flat across the inside back from side seam to side seam
Hips: 22" flat across the inside back from side seam to side seam
Length: 40" from mid neck at the back to bottom hem
Sleeves: 24" from shoulder seam to longest point
The coat is fully lined in a green taffeta like rayon and closes with front buttons. It has it's original tie belt in a matching fabric. It has a good weight to it but is not unwieldy to wear.
