1960s Andre Laug Floral Dress or Coat

What a chic and pretty spring coat by Andre Laug who was one of the grand Italian Couturiers . Laug apprenticed under Nina Ricci and was the designer behind the first "Mademoiselle Ricci" collection in the summer of 1961. From there he freelanced, working for both Philip Venet and Andre Courreges. It was in 1968 that he opened his own label and I believe this coat to be from fairly early on after that happened. I love that the cut and fabric allows you to be able to get away with wearing this on its own as a dress if you wished to do so. It is cut on a pretty A-line so you can wear it loose or cinch in the waist to add shape. The collar is kept neat and simple while little round white buttons adorn the front for a pretty finish. The floral pattern that adorns the linen-look fabric from top to bottom is very pretty. The little red blooms give the entire piece a chic and fresh feel. Extremely well made with a refined sense of glamour. Excellent condition
