Early 1990s Donna Karan Cocktail Dress

This is a great example of Donna Karan's earlier work and an extremely chic and wearable cocktail dress too! Made of a silk mixed and lined in silk I love the crinkled 3D texture she has created with the unusual exterior fabric choice. This is from her main earlier line and I suspect it is late eighties or early 90s - it has a ILGWU tag inside the skirt. The cut is fantastic and she has nipped in the waist and the skirt is actually cut on the curve around the hip so even though the fabric has a bit of volume it does not add bulk to the wearer. Well made and in excellent, seemingly unworn condition.

Bust: 18.5" flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: 14" flat across from side seam to side seam
Hips: 20" flat across from side seam to side seam
Bodice: 15" from top of bust to waist
Skirt: 25" from waist to hem

Fully lined in a soft black silk and closes with a back hidden zipper.
