This is an absolutely amazing find! Jean Muir's early pieces done in the seventies are truly amazing. She used a rayon jersey that felt like silk but had a lighter weight so draped even better then their Pucci silk jersey contemporaries of the time. They also where able to work in color that was a tad more vibrant and it has the added benefit of being somewhat wrinkle resistant. She took this fabric and with a strong nod to the thirties created wonderful creations that were dramatic and deceptively simple. This is the first jumpsuit I have seen from her from this time and it is stunning! A bright blue is shot through with a deep red and black print. It's drapey and loose and yet it hugs and highlights the body. It is incredible to wear as it weighs ounces. In wonderful condition it is a real rarity!

Shoulders: No defined seams
Bust: approx 20î flat across from side seam to side seam
Waist: will stretch from 12-16" comfortably when measured flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Hips: open
Bodice: 16î from shoulder to waist seam
Leg length: 40î from waist seam to bottom hem
Inseam: 30î

The jumpsuit is unlined and closes with buttons down the front.
