1950s Lord & Taylor Silk Chiffon Green Print Hawaiian Dress
This pretty little dress with its ocean feeling mix of blue and green is a great choice for the warmer months. This is a Westernized version of the classic little Hawaii sarong type dress that were the dress of choice for young starlets in the golden era of Hollywood. The print is screened onto a light silk chiffon and the colors are a lovely mix of abstract paint strokes of the colors over the silk. The bodice has gathered soft pleating detailing that wraps around the dress. The straps are set wide across the shoulders and curve down to meet the back that sits a little lower than the front does. The pencil cut skirt is kept simple and flattering. Excellent condition
The dress is fully lined with hand set silk chiffon and closes with a back painted metal zipper. Hand finished

- items less then $500, or that are on sale, require a 50% deposit with the final payment due in two weeks from the date of deposit
