1940s Velvet & Embroidered Jacket

A fabulous little made for the tourist market velvet jacket that I estimate to be from the early forties. The black cotton velvet helps to hold its pretty swing shape. The back has more volume built into it as was the fashion of the day. Each from panel has a darling floral embroidery in a yarn that runs up the side of the little pocket slits. I love the brightness of the lining - such a pretty flash of color! A big cream frog knot at the neck is the perfect finish! Great condition

Fully lined in a peach rayon. It closes with the frog closure at the neck and one hook & eye above that. The exterior shows no flaws, Inside there is fading to the fabric under one arm, other it shows no flaws.
