• The twin of this dress in a blue walked the runway for Look 13 for the Spring 2008 Galliano collection. 
• It was made under the creative direction of John Galliano.
• This is a very rare Production label piece by Galliano. It may or may not have been produced for retail but it is the original production piece made before making that decision. This is a very rare thing to find and an amazing piece of Galliano fashion history.
• I love that we have the runway photos and video of the dress in blue. The runway piece was shown unlined so it really allows you to see the extraordinary detail in the lace that the dress has. The black version is obviously harder to photo and it is lined, but has the same amazing detail as the runway piece.
• I have added some detail shots of the dress lane flat so that you can see the patterns watch all through the netting.
• The Spring 2008 show coincided with John Galliano's tenth year with the label and it was Dior's 60th year as a label. John celebrated that by creating pieces based on some of his signature looks through the past decade. 
• The dress is made out of black netting that has a dot pattern running through.
• Added to this are circular medallions made out of a and then stitched embroider to create the circles that you see. These medallions are also a clever way to create the shape of the dress. Around the skirt, for example he has placed more of them all the way around to help provide structure and fullness before the final lower tier of the skirt.
• The bodice is shaped and cupped with a build in hooked strap. I love that the outer part of the cups of the bra are finished in a velvet, even though you can't see this, detail it is there. It just shows you how much attention was paid. I took a photo for you to see.
• The straps of the bra curve up and over your shoulder and are finished in a black velvet on their exterior side. Play beside those straps are straps made out of netting that have a round double ruffle shape. These sit over the inner bra strap once it's on your shoulder and Cape softly over the top of your shoulder and upper arm.
• Under the bus, it follows down to the waist where there is a pattern of the round medallion, circling all the way around you. These are placed on a slight downward angle on the sides to create a pretty line.
• Tool explodes to be very full and open. Just under the hip there is a second ring of those circular medallions that go all the way around you and again replaced on a slightly downward angle that curved down lower at the back of the skirt.
• Under that it is fantastic with layers to sit on top of each other with both layers having unfinished raw edges. One layer is longer than can you get even more volume.
• The back of the skirt curves around longer than the front. The lightness of the fabric let it move and catch the air fantastically. You can see that in the runway video.
• This is a phenomenally, rare piece of Galliano history, and and absolutely beautiful dress.
• The dress is fully lined in a black silk with a belt in attached bra that hooks to close at the back. The straps are adjustable. It closes with a tightly space row of his signature button and loops down one side.
• Because it is a production / sample piece there is no size tag present. Please go by the measurements listed below.

• This is a rare and early example of Galliano's work from the Fall 1999 collection.
• It was made under the creative direction of John Galliano.
• We have included several runway shots that we found that show the same fabric as it was seen on the runway.
• The dress is ultra soft to touch. It is made from a deep creamy ivory and then onto that are tiny little black bows made out of yarn. They form a grid in their centres as they weave through the underlying ivory and then the ends are allowed to extend out on both side sides. This is what forms the bow and also gives it the 3D feel as each end sits up and off of the fabric.
• The dress is done in a simple shift feel with no sleeves and an easy to wear cut. Long vertical seams curve over you to add shape. The bust is simple and set to curve over you. The waist is shaped to come in slightly. From there it curves back out over the hips. 
• The skirt is a simple slim pencil shape that comes in very slightly at the hem. At the back, extra fabric is hidden inside of an inverted vent. The fabric is pleated on both sides, inside the vent, and this allows you to move and walk in the dress. It also gives you a little unexpected flare at the bottom of the back skirt while you are moving.
• It is the perfect minimalist 1990s piece with a Galliano twist.
• The dress is lined in an ivory silk with hand finishes around the neck and arms. It closes with a hidden set side zipper. It appears to have been worn very little if at all.

• This is a rare two piece jacket and skirt set from the Fall 1999 collection.
• It was made under the creative direction of John Galliano.
• We have included several runway shots that we found that show various pieces made of the same fabrication and with similar silhouettes.
• Both pieces are ultra soft to touch. The angora/mohair and wool mix that both pieces are made of would have been specially created for the collection in order to get the pattern to lay so precisely. The fabric would have had to have been pre-planned out prior to making the final design.
• The jacket is phenomenal. It has soft shoulders and is meant to feel at touch more oversized through the upper bodice. The waist is cinched in with a single oversized hand carved button that sits at the front. From there  then it curves over the hips under that. This cut is what gives you that fantastic exaggerated hourglass feel that the suit has.
• The shawl collar is very wide and covers almost the upper bodice. It is finished with a bolder print and feels like a statement piece in itself. The body of the jacket has an angled black-and-white chevron print and I love how he has placed this to emphasize the shape even more.
• The sleeves are extra long and they are meant to bunch up slightly on the arm. They are finished with a wide band of the same design that details the collar.
• The skirt has a simple black piping at the waist and then it is cut in a long slim pencil shape. The upper portion of the skirt is done in that chevron pattern and then the lower part of the skirt picks up that amazing design that was used on the collar and ends of each sleeve.
• The jacket is lined in a black silk and buttons at the front to close as described above. The skirt is unlined and closes at the back with a zipper and hooks at the waist.
  
• Both pieces are tagged an early Galliano large.
• It appears to have never been worn.
• Excellent condition and so so very rare.

• This is an amazing example of his work from Fall 2006 and it is gorgeous. It is very similar to a dress that I had in the ship recently but this one is more elaborate and much longer.
• The dress was made under the creative direction of John Galliano.
• This version was made for the shops and like all of the more elaborate bead work pieces he did would have only been released in limited quantities.
• This is a really striking dress that is also very easy to wear because of its simple and bias cut. 
• The dress is made from three layers that are attached at the top of the shoulder and then float over each other from there. The inside layer is a black silk chiffon and then there is a layer of black silk chiffon that has a texture to it over that. The very top layer is that same textured silk chiffon.
• The dress has a very loose and easy cut through the body.
• The bodice has a beautiful draping neckline at the front and it does the same at the back. One shoulder is wider and a panel draped down from it to form the neck line. The other shoulder is a combination of silk chiffon with a raw lace edging. On that side, there is a tide bow at the top of the shoulder.
• The bodice on the side with the wider strap has pinned detailing that runs vertically down the dress, and the side with the more narrow strap is swept up to one side where there's a large flat bow and a bit of a ruffle created. That ruffle continues all the way to the ham so it appears that the dress has been wrapped around you and the bow is holding it all in place.
• Scattered vertically over the dress are a beautiful design that combines tiny seed beads and silver sequins topped by a tiny bead. These are all set by hand and you can see that on the back. They detail the neckline and then run in little cluster set vertically down the length of the dress.
• Many of the edges have a raw finish, which adds a delicate added texture to the dress that is very pretty.
• This side that has the ruffle feel going all the way to the ham has a split on all three layers so you get a flash of skin and it adds to the beautiful movement. The dress has. The back skirting is cut longer than the front so you get this fantastic sweeping field behind you as well. 
  
• Because this dress is all cut on the bias and is so long and easy through the body it really needs a body inside of it to bring it to life. As good as it looks in the photos here it is phenomenal in person and on the body.
• The inner silk chiffon and middle tulle layer act as the lining underneath the top layer. The innermost layer has no closures. The middle layer closes with its own hidden set zipper, and the very top layer closes with one of his signature tightly spaced rows of silk covered buttons.
• The bias cut allows for some range and movement, so I put the comfortable range in lane flat below

• Fall 2007 dress by John Galliano
• Made of a combination of an ivory silk chiffon that is covered in an ivory net lace
• The dress has a strong nod to the 1920s. It is generously cut through the waist and has a scooped neckline.
• Silk chiffon has been formed into little rosettes on either side of the buttons that run down the side of the dress. Panels of chiffon wrap around the waist from the flowers to add a bit of detail and shape.
• There is a long panel of silk that hangs from one of the rosettes at the front. You can allow it to just trail down the front or hook it over one of the rosettes at the back to create a pretty draping down the full side of the skirt.
• The dress is very light in weight. The silk chiffon underlay acts as the lining.
• It closes with the series of silk covered buttons down the side

• This set is from the Fall 2006 collection for Valentino.
• The dress was made under the creative direction of the original Mr. Valentino.
• The near twin of this piece was worn by Kerry Washington that same year.
• This is a very interesting dress because of it strong tie in to both past and future Valentino. The first time this print was used by the house was in 1970. Mr. Valentino revisited it for this fall 2006 collection and then Pierpaolo used the print for his Resort 2020 collection.
• This two piece set is especially fun with its mix of prints and colours. It is made out of a beautiful silk chiffon that keeps it light in weight.
• The top is a simple halter type top that has a more structured waist area that wraps around you and zips to close at the side.
• On the front there are two triangles made out of a printed silk chiffon that has been doubled to make it opaque enough to wear. These attach in along the top of the panel underneath and then they simply tie into place behind the neck.
• The ties are cut to be excessively long from the point where they tie behind the neck so they drape beautifully down and over your bare back. 
• The skirt has a more structured band around the top and when the halter is on it fits perfectly over top of that structured part.
• It widens out to the hem from there with a series of stacked ruffles set to overlap each other slightly from waist to hem. This gives you very pretty movement when you move.
• The halter part of the top are lined in a second layer of the same printed silk chiffon and the rest of the top and the skirt are lined in a purple silk chiffon. Both the top and skirt close with hidden set side zippers.

• The twin of this dress walked the runway in the Spring 2003 show for Look 64
• It was made under the creative direction of the original Mr. Valentino
• It was the only dress shown in this entire collection that season that was done in his signature Valentino red. So when you look through the collection photos it really stands out.
• The show was a huge success and Vogue especially loved the evening pieces; "For the evening review, it gets even better. Valentino's communiqués from his couture collection show up as delicate metallic-embroidered chiffons made into fragile capes, cardigans or dresses. And for the grand occasion, there's a full battalion of the designer's fabulous signature chiffon gowns." 
• The dress is suspended from the shoulders by two tiny straps in the same red silk. The bodice is seamed just under the breasts and have minimal darting. 
  
• It skims over the waist and hips and then from there it falls to the floor in a beautiful column of the red silk crepe that flares out slightly as it nears the hem.
• The back of the dress is cut slightly longer so you have a beautiful bit of a sweep behind you as you walk.
• Two panels of silk chiffon wrap around the waist area to add detail and shape to the dress. The panels are attached all the way around and then loop through openings at the front of the dress. The ties are cut extra long and fall to just above the hem at the front of the dress. These not only add beautiful detailing to the dress but also create amazing movement as you move.
• The top panel of the bodice is lined in a red silk and the rest of the dress is unlined. It  closes with a hidden set side zipper. I see a touch of grubbiness here and there around the hem but it is very minor

• This is a modern Valentino was made in homage to the very famous Valentino dress that walked the runway for Fall 2004. 
• This version was made under the creative direction of Pierpaolo Piccioli and the original 2004 version under Mr. Valentino
• The dress is strapless and made out of a red silk in the signature Valentino red.
• The dress is made out of long set vertical panels that run from the top of the bodice all the way to the hem. At the front the silk is gathered into both sides of the middle panel. The dress is shaped around the body by manipulating the width of the panels.
• One of the key signatures of this dress are the two large silk flowers in a marching red silk that sit on either side of the hip. On the original dress these top pockets are very shallow. The ones on this dress are slightly deeper so that you can slip your hands into.
• As the dress near the lower skirt the panels widen quite a bit to create that gorgeous flare that you see. Triangle shaped silk panels have been added on each side and all the way around the back of the skirt. This is what allows the skirt to flare out and sit in those exaggerated folds so beautifully that you see in the photos. They also allow a really beautiful and dramatic movement when you walk.
• The dress is fully lined in a red silk with an inner built-in lightly boned corset piece that zips on its own. The dress zips to close over that with a hidden set zipper that follows one of the back side seams. The dress appears to have been worn very little if at all.

• The dress is from the Fall 2000 Richard Tyler Couture collection.
• It was made under the creative direction of Richard Tyler.
• Faith Hill wore its twin to the 2000 Grammy awards. I love that we have this reference photo so that you can see how the dress is once on the body.
• Richard Tyler was the designer to wear in the 1990s and early 2000s. He won the Council of Fashion Designers of America New Talent award in 1993. In 1994 and 1995 he won the Council's Womenswear Designer of the Year award. Julia Roberts, Janet Jackson, and Sigourney Weaver were just a few of the stars who loved his work and his dresses made regular appearances on the red carpet.
• Tyler was known for his impeccable tailoring and finishes and at the time employed some of the best tailors and seamstresses in the business.
• The dress is made from an ultra soft and supple black leather that has been treated like a fabric for the construction of this dress.
• Beaded straps curve up and over each shoulder and then extend down to meet the dress at each side. There are also beaded straps that extend out from each side of the under-bust seam and are attached in at the sides. At the front they run through a little slit on the seams to pass across the plunge. A final beaded strap hooks into place across the low back and gives the illusion of being a part of the strap that wraps around the front. I love these little added beaded details that up the glamour on the dress that little bit more.
• The straps connect to triangles of leather that curve on an inward curve into a front plunge. The beaded strap that runs across the front helps to hold the dress in place and add a little extra detail. I love the how the seams under the bust turn into a dart to add shape. Just having those extra seams also add subtle detail.
• At the back it curves down into a low V at the small of your back, leaving your entire back bare and exposed. It is very sexy.
• It is shaped to come in at the waist and then curve back and over the hips. There is a horizontal seam placed at the bottom of the hips and then the lower panels of leather fall in a pretty column to the floor to give you one long lean line.
• At the back of the skirt there is an extremely high slit that goes all the way up to meet the seam that wraps around the bottom of the hips. These high back slits were a Tyler signature and allows for a flash of bare leg as you walk away.
• The leather is extremely soft and supple. It is not stiff in any way at all. It is so soft that it does act and drape like a fabric. It is incredible.
  
• The dress is lined with a black silk through the upper bodice and then the lower skirt is unlined. Closes with a hidden set side zipper. It appears to have been worn very little if at all.
