  • This is a modern Valentino was made in homage to the very famous Valentino dress that walked the runway for Fall 2004. 
  • This version was made under the creative direction of Pierpaolo Piccioli and the original 2004 version under Mr. Valentino
  • The dress is strapless and made out of a red silk in the signature Valentino red.
  • The dress is made out of long set vertical panels that run from the top of the bodice all the way to the hem. At the front the silk is gathered into both sides of the middle panel. The dress is shaped around the body by manipulating the width of the panels.
  • One of the key signatures of this dress are the two large silk flowers in a marching red silk that sit on either side of the hip. On the original dress these top pockets are very shallow. The ones on this dress are slightly deeper so that you can slip your hands into.
  • As the dress near the lower skirt the panels widen quite a bit to create that gorgeous flare that you see. Triangle shaped silk panels have been added on each side and all the way around the back of the skirt. This is what allows the skirt to flare out and sit in those exaggerated folds so beautifully that you see in the photos. They also allow a really beautiful and dramatic movement when you walk.
  • The dress is fully lined in a red silk with an inner built-in lightly boned corset piece that zips on its own. The dress zips to close over that with a hidden set zipper that follows one of the back side seams. The dress appears to have been worn very little if at all.
