Unusual 1970s Round Brass Bucket Bag on a Chain
This is so unusual and quirky. It is definitely not a bag you will see every day. Suspended from a chain is a brass bucket bag that has an attached lid. This is a good weighted brass too - not a thin aluminum. The top opens by sliding up and along the chain. This came out of a wealthy woman's estate and she had a small collection if unusual hand made bags she had picked up on her travels. Its fabulous and modern gild will love that it just fits an iPhone7plus if you don't close the lid all the way, but will work. Excellent condition with natural patina from aging.
The was hand made so shows the natural small indentation from the hammering to create the shape. There is the greening from natural oxidation around the grommets where the chain goes through that adds to its fabulous vintage feel
5" high and 5" in diameter. The handle adds 20"
