1980s Thierry Mugler Open Cross Back Cotton Dress
This darling little dress by Thierry Mugler has an amazing, sculptural back with cut outs. That combined with the crisp white and yellow striped edging make it a wonderful summer piece that still feels fresh and of this season despite its vintage heritage. The bodice has a simple sleeveless front with the striping giving the effect that you are wrapped. Those striped extend over the shoulder and run down the side with more panels crossing over each other to leave your bare skin exposed. The skirt below is cut above the knee. I love the sculptural lines of the back. The white base fabric is a chic little waffle weave cotton and its a quirky little play on the summer dress that is very flattering. Really a wonderful and chic dress. Presents as excellent condition with a note below.
Fully lined in white silky rayon. It closes with a painted metal and nylon zipper set along the side seam at the back. Above that is an elaborate layout of hidden snaps to close the top portion of the dress and ensure it all sits perfect once on. I see a small areas of marking under each arm but it is very faint and very minimal. Tagged a vintage Mugler 40 but of course check the listed measurements below

- items less then $500, or that are on sale, require a 50% deposit with the final payment due in two weeks from the date of deposit
