1960s Beaded Turquoise Linen Dress

This came out of a recent estate I purchased that had a lot of very high end designer pieces. It has no designer label however it feels very high end and I would not be surprised if it turned out to be a big label. It is made of a pastel Turquoise linen and onto this is extensive bead work. All the beading is done by hand and each is a little white glass tune bead. This makes the dress have a solid weight to it but once on it feels very balanced and not too heavy to wear. The beads are densely done around the neckline and bodice at both the front and back and then streams of beads fan out to the hem around the entire dress. The swing cut makes it quite full around the body but the more fitted bodice keeps it flattering. Very chic. It does have some missing bead work - please note the condition report below and view the photo

Fully lined in a matching turquoise tissue silk and closes with back painted metal zipper. Hand finishes. When I originally listed this I had noted a small stained area at the front. I took it to the cleaners and they managed to fully eliminate that stain. (yay) However, in the cleaning process some of the beads were lost along the upper shoulders and on two areas of the collar. I have added a new photo of the collar laid out flat so you can see and have decided to leave the price as it was originally. It is infinitely more wearable now with the spot gone and if you are handy with a needle and thread adding beads would be an easy fix to make this perfect once again. Please supersize the newly added photos to see extent of the bead loss.
