Autumn is in full swing & it's time to indulge in that scene-stealing coat. It can be daunting looking for a statement piece that has longevity, but I'm here to help!

Shop my top 3 runway inspired looks - that are guaranteed you warm (and on trend) this season.

Look 1 | Shearling

From sweeping duster coats to bomber styles, the classic, puffy shearling coat continued to dominate the AW16 runway.
My pick: this chic 70s shaggy jacket with leather inserts from Shrimpton Couture. My favourite style feature?  The bomber cut. Making this the perfect jacket to wear with your favourite pair of high-waisted denim.

(L-R) Oscar de la Renta, Gabriela Hearst, Jason Wu.

Look 2 | Graphic Prints

Talk about statement coat! Heavy graphics - like windowpane grids & bold lines adorned many full length duster coats for this season.
My pick: Shrimpton Couture's Prada '04 Coat. The check pattern & slightly oversized fit- makes this so on trend. My favourite style feature? The removable fur collar. Perfect for the girl who loves to have options.

Look 3 | Minimalist with a Twist

On the AW/16 runway - we saw playful finishes on strong, minimalist coats with raw edges, exaggerated sleeves, or zipper details.
My pick: Shrimpton Couture's 1920s velvet coat dress. The contrast of the white zipper adds a really interesting graphic detail against the shiny velvet fabric. My favourite style feature? The plastic cinch belt buckle. It's so modern & cool!
