Looking forward to planning your trip itinerary, but dreading the impending doom of stocking your suitcase? The never ending loop of what if's & of course, the inevitable weather interruptions - can cause even further confusion.

While suitcase organization is definitely an art, it can be mastered with a just a little foresight through a few rules & a solid routine.

My pre-packing routine is sartorial in nature - I moodboard. (I mean, I'm a stylist after all!) I like to stick with a colour story, & inject different textures to allow for variety. Less is more! Include some special pieces for those unplanned nights out & allow for some extra space to mix in comfortable separates for unpredictable weather.

As I plan my trip to ol' Blighty, here’s some inspiration that just might make you actually look forward to packing.

Shop my Shrimpton Couture essentials, below!

1990s Gianni Versace Patent Leather Motorcycle Jacket available at Shrimpton Couture >

This incredible 90s patent leather Gianni Versace Moto Jacket is the best jacket to take on a trip, as it's just so transitional. Wear it during the day with layers, or thrown over a dress for evening cocktails.

1970s Haute Couture Silk Dot Yves Saint Laurent Top available at Shrimpton Couture >

When travelling - I always make sure I have a blouse with me. They take up very little space in your case, yet give you variety of wearable options. Since I love mixing textures and patterns- this 70s Haute Couture silk dotted Yves Saint Laurent blouse is the perfect piece to pair under the Versace patent leather jacket.

1970s Light Blue High-Rise Denim Flare Jeans with Pockets available at Shrimpton Couture >

High waisted denim is a wardrobe must have! Especially these amazing 70s flare's. They easily can be dressed up, or down - depending on your mood.

1980s Dramatic Feathered Louis Feraud Dress and Jacket available at Shrimpton Couture >

You're going on vacation & will definitely need to include some drama! This is my very favourite set: the 80s feathered Louis Feraud mini with matching jacket. Again, I'm really incorporating & mixing textures, this being velvet (& feathers!) works perfectly with the looks above. As this is a two-piece set, you really have the flexibility to mix & match & create multiple looks.
