My style & selections tend to mirror who I'm currently obsessed with, which typically is a strong front woman who exudes confidence & colourful flair. I'm really going through a late 70s, early 80s post punk new wave moment- inspired by my favourite: Clare Grogan - lead singer of Scottish band, Altered Images.
Although this Guy Laroche one shoulder dress is dated 70s & is a take on a classic 50s cut- the colourful, geometric print is reminiscent of a typical new wave look. Something Claire Grogan would have totally of rocked at the Top of the Pops.
I chose to pair the Guy Laroche piece with fun Stuart Weizman sling-backs in a contrasting leopard print pattern - to add a stylistic approach & evoke Claire's effervescent spirit.
And of course, you cannot channel your favourite formidable female without a pair of vintage cat-eye sunglasses.
