There has been a huge resurgence of the cape-dress, which proved to be the ultimate trend at the 2016 Oscars. It’s dramatic, feminine & flat out scene stealing. Recently, I was lucky enough to get my hands on Shrimpton Couture’s rare 1960s hand painted Andre Murasan cape dress. What I really loved about this look was the blended colours of pale peach, taupe and rust, which is really complimentary on so many skin tones. The silk slip dress is incredibly sexy – framing & draping your curves and can definitely be worn on it’s own - when you want to reach full blown 90s Supermodel status. For an elevated look incorporate the stunning hand painted cape. The rippled cut of the cape creates such a graceful, flowy movement- transforming you into a breathing art piece.

Styling Tips: Wear together, or alone! Imagine the cape with basics? Throw over a fitted white t-shirt, with a pair of great skinny jeans & heels and take on the city!
