Rarely do you come across an outfit that makes you feel utterly transformed- especially one that can mix seamlessly with other pieces in your own wardrobe. Usually you wear that one show-stopping dress & stick it at the back of your closet with the rest of the one-nighters.

When I slipped on this 1970s Bill Blass two-piece from Shrimpton Couture I immediately felt a shift in confidence. The shade of red and the incredible silk draping lent both power & femininity, while the front-slit added some sexiness. That is what I call a classic!

As NYFW approaches & the events pile up – this is the two-piece you need with you in your suitcase. Wear the outfit, as it’s intended, or interchange to create playful, more casual looks. The options really are endless!

For the Fashion Soiree...

Pair the full 70s Bill Blass two-piece with Aquazzura & Poppy Delevingne’s Leather Moon And Star Sandals. Finish the look with the best (and my favourite) matte lipstick from Nars in Miscate.

For Dancing at the Boom Boom Room...

Pair the 70s Bill Blass silk halter with Derek Lam’s Raw Denim Flared Jeans. Throw on some sexy Pierre Hardy suede dancing shoes & add some sparkly glam with a Jean Star Cluster Clutch.

For Meetings at SOHO House...

Pair the 70s Bill Blass silk skirt with the incredibly chic Frida Top by Johanna Ortiz. Add some detail with Giuseppe Zanotti’s Red calf leather cage heels & complete with the best everyday-tote by Saint Laurent.
