Where they first met. Linda Evangelista & Kyle Maclachlan by Steven Meisel for Barneys Department Store, New York, 1992.

Actor Kyle MacLachlan is probably best know for playing the role of FBI agent Dale Cooper in the television series Twin Peaks, and as Charlotte’s husband in Sex and the City. Canadian born Linda Evangelistia is among one of the most famous supermodels, working since the late 80’s.

An unlikely romantic relationship developed between both actor and model. They met at a photo shoot for Barneys New York department store in 1992, and within weeks she had left her husband, Gerald Marie, the head of Elite model agency in France. "It did happen quickly," says MacLachlan. "But we didn't get together on the first night. We got together on the second."

"God, we had a ball," he says. "It was like a party. I got to submerge myself in the world of fashion."

For the next 6 years Kyle left his indie film life behind and joined Linda’s fashion world of glitz and glamour. They were often seen on the pages of fashion magazines posing for intimate photos and sharing to the world their declaration of their love. By 1998 they called off their engagement and ended the relationship. Kyle and Linda may have moved on, however they left us with a rich and quirky documentation through the various photo shoots, including three occasions for Vogue. Inspired, I have compiled a collection to pay homage to two young good-looking people under the celebrity eye.
