Leave it to Vogue to throw the pajama party of the year! It was the party before the party and oh what a bash it was!
On Saturday night Vogue hosted a pre-Met "China" Through the Looking Glass" Ball soiree at New York's oldest dim sum parlor, Nom Wah Tea Parlor. I had just sent off a box to the Vogue office full to the brim with Chinese and Orient inspired vintage couture pieces on a photo shoot request and I told the girls that they could borrow and lend to their hearts content. So I was thrilled to wake up this morning to these photos on Vogue.com of a few fabulous girls sporting Shrimpton Couture vintage and looking pretty amazing while doing it!
Above, the girl of the moment, supermodel Fei Fei Sun topped her party frock with a gorgeous black and gold silk coat lined in red. Below, model Candice Huffine wears a red embroidered silk vintage robe over Thakoon. Behind her is Voguette, Allison Brown in a more traditional embroidered version of the silk coat. Love it!
