Lauren Bacall's Auction Makes Millions

A collection of items belonging to Hollywood actress Lauren Bacall has fetched $3.64 million at an auction in New York.

Art, furniture, jewelry and clothing belonging to the late actress—who died in August 2014 aged 89—were sold.

BBC News reports that a hand-coloured etching by John James Audubon of an American white pelican sold for $173,000—three times more than was expected, according to auction house Bonhams.
