* The entire world will be under the spell of the Italians next year when the V&A celebrates Italian fashion. The exhibit has been in the works for three full years and will feature works from Prada, Valentino, Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana. We hope they work in a few of the now defunct but great vintage houses too! Only time will tell - the exhibit will open April 5th 2014 and run until July 27.

* We are sure you already know this but it is official that Nicolas Ghesquière is the new artistic director at Louis Vuitton. Ghesquière began his career at Jean Paul Gaultier and Thierry Mugler before joining Balenciaga on a freelance basis. In 1997 he was named creative director at Balenciaga, kicking off a critically-adored decade and a half at the label. We cant wait to see what he does at Louis - can you?

* Chloe is reported to be actively looking for a buyer. Wanna pool our money? I am sure we only need a few million, billion dollars. We will keep you posted on this interesting turn of events for the house.

* Schiaparelli is schedule to show during Couture week in January. We are waiting with baited breath for what Marco Zanini comes up with and we are saying prayers to the vintage gods that it is good. We hope for great but would be happy for good. With all the flurry of rebirths of houses lately and with most not really doing a great job at things, we are ever hopeful that Marco can pull this one off.
