Known as the fashion photographer of the supermodels Peter Lindberg is a legend. He started working for Vogue in 1978, first the Italian, then the English, French, German, and then for American Vogue where the brand new editor Ms Anna Wintour signed him on and he shot her first famous November cover.

There are SO many endless photos one could choose it is almost a discredit to post just a single image here and another on my own feed for day 5 of my instagram takeover. But choose I must!

I chose to focus on one single editorial as I remember it so clearly and it was so impactful. No one had shot women like this before for Vogue and even the eight supermodels - Cindy Crawford, Tatjana Patitz, Helena Christensen, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Karen Mulder, and Stephanie Seymour, looked more "super" then normal. It was a heady mix of high & lo, and it rang in the nineties like no other shoot could. Here is the entire group looking bad and beautiful.

From the editorial “Wild at Heart” this was shot in Brooklyn for the September 1991 issue. Styled by Grace Coddington.

On my own instagram account, I wanted to showcase the shot that was taken directly from the editorial's namesake - the Marlon Brando film “The Wild One” - it is based on the screen capture of him in this exact pose. Supermodel Helena Christensen channels that pose to perfection in a Erez leather jacket and Harley-Davidson leather biker cap.
