Rare 1940s Pin Up Deadstock Satin Bikini

An amazing and rare find - this is a very early two piece bikini pin-up set in a fantastic emerald green satin. From the iconic French company Rasurel, who still makes swimwear even today. This is an exceptional example of early beach wear and it has never been worn! The top is a simple triangle cup design with a fabric covered elastic strap at the back. I love that little buttons are used to attach that strap (they are hidden though of course! The bottom has that perfect bit of "pouf" that Hollywood starlets wore in pin-up posters of the day making this not only risque but of the highest fashion for the time. Dita eat your heart out - this is burlesque mixed with starlet at its best! Excellent condition.

SIZE GUIDE

Please review all measurements carefully. More often than not, vintage garments do not fit any size category exactly. If in doubt, measure a garment of your own that fits and is a similar cut and compare it's measurements to the listed measurements below.
