1960s Striped Silk Ribbon Shift Dress

This is like an updated version of the earlier thirties striped hostess pieces. Except this is a mod feeling little cocktail or day dress from the swinging sixties! Cut on a slight A-line it is very simple with a loose fit body and simple ties attached at the waist. The sleeves are also simple and sleek. The simplicity of the cut allows that gorgeousness of the fabric to shine through. A black base has a ribbon like effect worked into the fabric with vivid stripes in purple, yellow and red! Excellent condition!

Hips: 21" flat across from side seam to side seam Length: 38" from shoulder to hem

Unlined and closes at the back with a panted zipper. The belt is attached to each side of the dress and you can cinch it or wear it looser for a more shift feel. There is one tiny scuff to one of the purple stripes near the hem and side seam. It does not deter.
