1960s Silk Voile Jean Hercey Demi-Couture Dress
Lovely and simple, this Jean Hercey dress is perfect for the summer months and will transition into fall with the addition of a jacket or sweater. Hercey was one of the French Couturiers and [produced demi-couture level work. His work is not found as often as some of his contemporaries but when you do find one its a treasure. You can see the interior hand salvages and this heavy hand finishes really tells the quality of the piece. I love the pretty blue scattering of pop feeling flowers on the backdrop of printed silk voile - the contrast between the two patterns is wonderful. It flows to the floor from a pretty scooped bodice, gradually widening as it reaches the hem to create a soft and pretty A-line. It has just a suggestion of waist that is highlighted with a flat blue ribbon. It's the perfect and easy dress that can be styled up or down and worn day to evening. Very simple, very pretty and very, very well made. Excellent condition

- items less then $500, or that are on sale, require a 50% deposit with the final payment due in two weeks from the date of deposit
