1960s Apple Printed Mod Maxi Dress
I am astounded that there is no label on this dress. If I had to guess I would say it was a piece by Geoffrey Beene - it has that same rounded hem shaped skirt and has that feel to it. It is definitely a high end piece so I suspect this is a super bargain! The dress is constructed from a cotton fabric that has a subtle quilting done to it. Over this is a charming screened cluttered apple print in a raspberry pink with black stems. The borders highlighting the edges are all done in a black cotton withe a crossed checked texture worked into the cloth. The bodice is simple with a scooped neck and high cut arm. The skirt is spectacular and extends from the waist in an exaggerated A-line and ends in those phenomenal rounded corners. Excellent condition.

Bodice length: 16" from shoulder to top of the waist band
Skirt length: 38" from top of the waist band to the bottom of the hem
Fully lined in a black silky rayon. It closes with a back painted metal zipper. Hand finishes. Has it's original belt with is in excellent condition and closed with hook & grommets (pictured without the belt but the belt will be sent with the dress)

- items less then $500, or that are on sale, require a 50% deposit with the final payment due in two weeks from the date of deposit
