1950s Floral Hand Painted Black Silk Crepe Kimono

This stunning kimono is made extra special because of the hand painted floral design that is scattered over its surface. It is a chic combination of black silk crepe and a design of bold flowers and leafs that are perfectly painted directly onto the silk. Two bouquets run over the front of one sleeve and across one side and then even more, larger blooms run across the back. The base is black silk and the interior is lined in a solid black with a pale cream and pink silk inset in the upper half and through the sleeves of the interior. The work is very fine and it is just so unusual. You can wrap these and belt them so that you to be able to wear it as a mini  dress or tunic, or use it as a light evening coat. They really are versatile and a great way to work a bit of vintage into your wardrobe. Excellent condition

Fully lined in a black silk crepe with a cream and pastel pink patterned silk through the upper half and inside of the sleeves. Hand stitching finishes. Cherie borrowed this kimono to wear to the private event for Fausto Puglisi - see the photo on our instagram

  • The final payment is due two weeks after the second payment and shipping will be billed on this invoice as well.
  • items less then $500, or that are on sale, require a 50% deposit with the final payment due in two weeks from the date of deposit
