This original design, made exclusively  for Shrimpton Couture by RSVP, is constructed from the remnants of two different dresses! The bodice of this piece is from an original 1930s beaded silk dress and is completely covered with the most beautiful red glass beads - it is amazing how the red pops off the blue silk! Silk was taken from the skirt of a second dress in the same blue hue and turned into a swingy fabulous bottom. It is completely edged with dressmakers horsehair tape so it keeps its slight ruffled edge. I cannot gush enough over the spectacular sleeves on this piece - they have that high capped shape typical of the 1930s and are beaded to highlight every curve - they are little works of art in themselves. It is a spectacular piece.

Bodice length (slight drop waist): 19" from shoulder to waist seam
Skirt length: 22" from waist seam to hem

The top is lined and the skirt his unlined - you will have to wear a slip. It closes with a metal zipper at the side and has additional snaps to hide the zipper. It should be dry cleaned when cleaned in the future.
