This new couture maxi dress design from the Simone's Rose label was inspired by the beautiful, vintage summer silk kimono "ro" fabric it is constructed from. Limited by the 14" width of kimono fabrics, this dress was designed with the challenge of using a completely picked (unstitched) kimono. The beautiful black silk "ro" fabric is accented with black locally purchased lace. The small circular designs throughout are family crests traditionally used in Japanese kimonos of this kind.

Dress is fully lined in black super soft polyester. Signature gold riveted studs at front bodice and neck tie.  Elastic satin bias trim finishing (and neck tie) at upper stretch lace bust panel is super soft and comfortable.  The front skirt panel is pleated in detail and affixed with special care while the back hugs the curve of your back with a wide elastic insert for a flexible fit. Bust panel is also shaped below the bust with double pleats and has a flexible fit with the lace backed tie.

This one of a kind dress was made exclusively for Shrimpton Couture - each piece is handmade from carefully selected vintage fabrics, mixed with new locally purchased fabrics.  Every dress is given personal love and care with great attention to detail and quality construction.

Bust: 18" flat across from side seam to side seam at the front , however the halter neck, low back and ties make this measurement adjustable

All designs from Simone's Rose are meticulously finished! This dress should be dry cleaned when cleaned again in the future.
