I measure the actual garment so that you can compare it to one of your own that fits you perfectly, rather then trying to sort countless sizing vintage methods into modern day standards.
I then sorted everything into these size charts and into size categories for you to use as a guideline to help you shop quicker!

1970s Batik Print Pink Maxi Dress
Wonderful maxi dress in the perfect pink! I adore the print on this one - its on all four main panels of the dress - both on the front and the back. Love birds and a whimsical winged Elk adorn the piece in pretty hues of lavender and corals! Its cut long and lean and done on a crisp cotton. Best of all it has its original matching belt so can be cinched to the perfect waist size. Add sandals during the day and heels for night! Mint condition and ready to go!
Shoulders: 15" flat across
Bust: 16.5" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Waist: 13" flat across the back from side seam to side seam, un-stretched
Hips: 20.5" flat across the back from side seam to side seam
Bodice length: 17" from shoulder to waist seam
Skirt length: 37.5" from waist seam to hem
The dress is unlined and closes with a back painted metal zip and a hook and eye at the neck. It should be dry cleaned when cleaned again in the future.
