I have a wonderful capsule collection of early 1990s pieces from the great Issey Miyake. They are all from his higher end, main white label line and each is numbered. This piece is a fantastic sculptural cut dress that utilizes his trademark fabric and cuts. Miyake is known for his technology-driven clothes and the method used to make these pleated garments is quite astounding - they are cut and sewn first. Then they are put in between layers of paper, heat is applied and the result is a pleated garment that has tons of flexibility and movement. His pieces are not easy to find so its a treat to have quite a few for you! I love the high funnel neck that you can flip over if you wish and those fantastic rounded signature shoulders! It is in mint condition with all the pleating still tight and crisp and this one seems to have been crossed pleated - making it extra special!

Unlined and slips on to wear. It should be dry cleaned when cleaned again in the future.
